F B Mondial was founded in the aftermath of WW2 by the Boselli family, whose first venture into powered transport had been with the F B (Fratelli Boselli) three-wheeled delivery van in the 1930s. The name 'Mondial' first appeared on a motorcycle in 1948, when the Boselli brothers introduced a revolutionary double-overhead-camshaft 125cc racer. Mondial's miniature masterpiece duly brought the Bologna manufacturer its first World Championship the following year and proved equally dominant in 1950 and '51. After a relatively lean spell, Mondial returned to Grand Prix glory in 1957, taking both the 125cc and 250cc World Championships. Testastretta 11° DS The new Monster 1200 family is powered by the second generation of Testastretta 11° DS engine, smoother and with dual spark plugs and a secondary air system. Dual Spark (DS) ignition uses two plugs per cylinder to ensure complete combustion in a very short time. A secondary air system similar to that of the 1199 Panigale has been introduced to optimise operation and reduce cyclic combustion variability without affecting emissions. A controlled flow of fresh air is supplied to the exhaust duct to enable complete oxidisation of hot unburnt gases, to effectively reduce hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide levels. Tailored ergonomics The new Monster 1200 range features a totally redefined size, and ergonomics designed to offer "one-bike-in-the-garage" versatility. The new Monster size ensures ample accomodations even for a rider 185 cm tall and a passenger 175 cm tall, also allowing baggage to be loaded without compromises. The seat position is very comfortable, allowing long distance riding if desired; the riding position is upright thanks to a high handlebar fixed close to the rider; and a passenger seat with easily removed cover, low passenger footpegs, and integrated passenger handles welcome anyone the rider wishes to bring along. Performance package The Monster 1200 S comes standard with a "performance package" that offers more power (+ 10 Hp) and torque (+ 1 Kgm), front and rear Ohlins suspension components, and a Superbike-spec Brembo brake system. The front mudguard in carbon fibre and the Y-pattern 3-spoke machined wheels complete the "S" equipment. In EU markets, the Monster 1200 S also features LED turn lights. 2014 Ducati MONSTER 1200 S

I have only owned this bike for two months. Clean title. 8,800 miles, 3,000 of which were put on the bike by me. It has a host of Rizoma upgrades on it, from the turn signals to the footpegs, and gas tank. There is also a custom drag bar with mirrors, a custom MOTO seat, and termignoni after market silencer slipper exhausts. She's fully loaded! I also have all of the stock parts that she came with, but really, why would you want to go back to the vanilla when you have the chocolate sundae already? LOL! She has two scratches on the paint on the gas tank on both side of the gas tank, but otherwise, she is literally a new bike.She also has two brand new DIABLO ROSSO 2 tires on her of which I have the electronic receipts. According to NADA, without the upgrades, she is valued at $11,175. With the upgrades, she's worth about $15,000. I'm pricing her to sell for the riding season as I am out of the country for six months at a time every year where she doesn't get ridden. Otherwise, you wouldn't even see her on here.
