Here is a really good start at an Indian Chief restoration project. You could buy all these pieces individually, or get them all here at once and save time and money. These are all ORIGINAL parts to my knowledge. All parts appear usable with some cleaning / refurbishment. Included are the following: Frame: First digits are 346, indicating that it's a 1946 Chief frame. The last are harder to read but I think are 4733. I'm not an expert but it appears intact with nothing cut off. Engine cases: Start with CDG, meaning a 1947 Chief motor. Last four appear to be 7235. Still has the baffles which I'm told are usually broken. Transmission, with some gears inside Transmission Tower with internals Fork, which has been extended. Cylinders, front and rear, with surface rust, don't know if they've been bored. The flange that extends into the engine case is partially broken on at least one of them. Having these re-sleeved could be an option for repair. Heads, with no broken fins. 'Z' Flywheels with connecting rods Inner and outer primary covers Cam cover Shifter pedal One wheel You'd pay much more if you bought all these parts separately. Many Chief parts, such as tanks, fenders, and engine internals, are still being made and can be purchased new. These parts however are not, and are much more difficult to obtain. This is a solid start on a restoration of a very desirable machine. As time goes on, these are of course getting to be in shorter supply as collectors snap them up.
