1958 Harley Davidson two-tone FL Duo Glide/Panhead A re-paint of this Duo Glide was done in the early 70's. After 40 years it looks nice and shines up well w decent patina. xxxxxxxx What has been done in recent years xxxxxxxxxx Wiring replaced using an original style loom to include spotlight/turn signals OEM Master Cylinder, rear brake cylinder and brake hose installed. New Cloth brake and clutch Cables Rebuilt ignition switch NEW Coker, Super Eagle Tread tires and tubes after truing front/rear rims Speedometer done by Bordas replacing the glass pane with a RARE original HD Red Glass Front fork oil New front/rear chains OEM footboard mats Front and rear hubs gone thru Center Stand installedFront Fender Tip replaced with hard to find red insert to match the paint scheme! The frame appears to be original paint, the bike has OEM Turn Signals and Spotlights. It has RARE Turn Signal indicators in front of the dash with the original rare Flasher! A BUCO windshield and a NOS HD lower window section have been added XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX All hardware is Harley Davidson OEM 1038 cp The Dual Exhaust Pipe may be original. The frame is stamped as an H7 that it was made in July, 1957? HD started their VIN #'s at 1000. The VIN on this Panhead is 1705 or 705th off the line. Hardware and parts are OEM, if looking for a nice 1958 Duo Glide/Panhead, this would be a good bike to own. 1958 Harley Davidson two-tone FL Duo Glide/Panhead A re-paint of this Duo Glide was done in the early 70's in a nice combination of Maroon and Birch White. After 40 years it looks nice and shines up well w decent patina. Aware that the bubble bags were painted to match the fenders and tanks it is a nice touch. The front fender tip is not original for that year but with the red insert, makes a nice effect and may be one of the few items on this bike that are not original for 1958. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx the 2nd owner: 1. Completely rewired the bike using an original style loom to include spotlight/turn signals 2. Installed OEM Master Cylinder, rear brake cylinder and brake hose. 3. New Cloth brake and clutch Cables 4. Rebuilt the ignition switch 5. Replaced the tires with NEW Coker, Super Eagle Tread tires and tubes 6. Speedometer done by Bordas replacing the glass pane with a RARE original HD Red Glass 7. Replaced the front fork oil 8. New front/rear chains 9. Replaced the footboard mats with OEM original parts 10. Front and rear hubs gone thru 11. Installed a Center Stand 12.
