Features may include: BLACKED-OUT LOOK The Iron 883 model is the anti-chrome motorcycle decked in black from front to back with a defiant attitude that embraces the pure essence of riding. Black powder-coated 883cc engine with black rocker covers. Black chopped fenders that show off a lot of rubber. Black front forks with gators add an old-school look. Black oil tank cover, belt guard and drag bars. And black cast aluminum wheels that shoot Iron 883 motorcycle into the modern rebel culture and keeps the rebellious fire burning with plenty of freedom for customization. DRAG-STYLE HANDLEBAR The low-rise, slammed black drag-style handlebar and black finish hand controls add to the stripped down, minimal look of the Iron 883 motorcycle. Born at the drag strip, the drag-style handlebar is an old school garage feature that puts you in a forward, aggressive riding position. STOP-TURN-TAIL LIGHTS Old school looks meet new-school engineering. Black, retro-style bullet taillights combine functionality to work twice as hard stop beams and running lights plus turn indicators in two low-profile rear lamps. This eliminates the need for extra lights, creating a clean, minimal look. SIDE-MOUNTED LICENSE PLATE True to the clean, fast lines of the bike, the side-mounted license plate leaves the rear fender surface smooth and uncluttered. Minimal and unique every inch of the Iron 883 motorcycle is styled to perfection to achieve a raw, custom look. CLASSIC PEANUT FUEL TANK As one of the defining features of Harley-Davidson® Sportster® models for decades, the classic 3.3 gallon tapered peanut fuel tank still holds strong today with its traditional styling and modern attitude. Following the line of the bike from front to back, the peanut tank angles down just right into the solo Sportster® seat. Attitude and looks all balled up into one.

It's in really good condition for a 1963 motorcycle. I owned it for many years, traded it to a friend back in the '80's, he passed away and I got it back. I got it running easily but the carburetor needs cleaning and float adjustment. I took it down the road and it shifted well. The seat and mufflers are not original, everything else is. The tires are weather checked, the battery does hold a charge and the air filter needs to be replaced.

Nicely restored, and meticulously maintained 1963 Honda CB77 Superhawk Engine #: CB77E 212347 Frame #: CB77 22276 Soichiro Honda will go down in history as the man who truly changed the face of motorcycling forever. Honda founded his enterprise in 1947, using war-surplus Tohatsu generator motors clipped to bicycles. After his supply of engines dried up, he designed his own 50cc two-stroke clip-on motor, the first Honda Cub. Sales boomed, but Honda wanted more, and in 1954 he made the unheard-of plan of visiting Europe and learning as much as he could, directly from the best motorcycle factories in the world. He met with Triumph’s Edward Turner, who was impressed by Honda, but could not see beyond his own legendary ego that the man before him would, within 15 years, come to ruin his home industry! ? Honda visited the Isle of Man to see the TT races, and spoke with helpful emissaries at the NSU, Horex, and DAF factories. Realizing that fine production tolerances could only be achieved using European and American tooling, Honda was granted enormous government grants and bank loans to create two state-of-the-art factories, at Hamamatsu and Saitama. He had deeply studied the world’s best lightweight racing motorcycles – the all-conquering NSU Rennfox and Rennmax, and taken them as his template for a new series of production motorcycles. The result was the C70 Dream model of 1956, whose engine profile would be instantly familiar to any motorcyclist awake in the 1960s; it had a single overhead-cam parallel twin-cylinder motor with all-aluminum construction, fine pitch finning, and a slight forward cant to the cylinders. The frame was light and strong, made from welded steel pressings. Honda had taken the Rennmax and brought it to the street; no other manufacturer in 1956 could boast of such a sophisticated and affordable package, and within a year it boasted an electric starter as well. ? In 1959 the next iteration of the Dream line arrived, this time a super-sports machine, the CB72 Hawk. Gone was the gawky Teutonic styling of the Dream, replaced by clean lines which promised great speed – and the bike didn’t disappoint. With a 10,000rpm rev limit and top speed around 90mph, the Hawk was an instant hit. In 1961 an added 45cc was found, and a true Middleweight arrived, the 305cc CB77 Superhawk. With 28.5hp and 95mph top speed, plus utter reliability and sound handling, Honda had arrived, and the world took notice. ? The factory offered a comprehensive list of racing items to bring the Superhawk onto the track, including a bump-stop seat, special carb bellmouths, special rearsets, megaphone exhaust, etc. This 1966 CB77 has the ‘race kit’ installed, and was fully restored several years ago, with minimal mileage since. As the ‘race kit’ is now unavailable from Honda, this machine represents a rare opportunity to own a historic machine with the every one of the desirable ‘goodies’ from the 1963 Honda Racing catalogue, including the megaphone exhaust, solo seat, aluminium rear fender and number plates, clip-on handlebars, and high compression pistons and high lift cam ? The bike is offered in excellent condition throughout, both mechanically and cosmetically. The engine is strong and taut and has great power. It shifts perfectly through an excellent clutch. Brakes, suspension and all cycle parts are in excellent working order including the GT750 front brake. ? The blue frame is just about perfect and the finish on the rest of the bike is as exquisite. The bike was restored some years ago, but it has held up well – testament to the meticulous care taken in maintenance and storage since. ? With recent race history, some minimal re-commissioning will be needed and the bike will be ready to race. Offered on a Bill of Sale.

These were the first off road motorcycles that Honda imported to the US. Model C-105 sold in 1963 for $275 plus destination and set up. Honda’s slogan “YOU MEET THE NICEST PEOPLE ON A HONDA” was working. These little bikes were becoming quite popular. There was even a song on the radio: “Little Honda” by the Hondells, They were advertised everywhere. My favorite read “FOR THE MAN ON THE WAY UP   You’re sure to arrive with a TRAIL “55”. For the HONDA TRAIL “55” is made for going places…places most men only dream of going. Imagine a vehicle with a lively 4-cycle OHV engine and a low gear ratio of 70 to 1 which will whisk you-plus 250 lbs of load-up mountains, over logs, down gullies, through terrain that would stop a jeep and make a burro balk. A vehicle so rugged it is virtually maintenance-free: yet so light (126 lbs) and compact it will fit on a car bumper or in the smallest station wagon. A vehicle that will take you to that trophy buck or record trout-and back again with matchless ease and economy. That is the HONDA TRAIL “55”-America’s largest selling trail machine.      We believe our 55 has 675 original miles. The entire bike has been disassembled, inspected, , polished bare frame, repainted, polished bare aluminum, serviced, and put back together and perfectly tuned. The motor is all original except: for a  bigger KEI HIN carburetor that’s compatible with today’s fuel (metal float valve) and a chrome straight pipe for a healthy sound. I have been riding Honda’s since 66 and never seen a 55 that ran better. Its no rocket: goes 25 with the big sprocket and 45 mph with the small sprocket. What it does is it makes good torque. Any 55 owner from back in the day would tell you “it goes anywhere” or “it will climb a tree”. Never tried that but it is fun and very easy to ride. Has automatic clutch (works perfect) and a three speed that shifts all down with no searching for neutral between gears (Transmission  is as new). The custom seat on ours sits low and works better for shorter riders.  The gas tank is a plastic after market. We have the original gas tank (rusty inside) and if you have the inside coated we will paint it to match. We have the seat mount too, but no stock seat, there is no kick start, but it starts very easy with one shove in second.         This HONDA TRAIL “55” is a piece of history. The first off road Honda, This one quit running when the drive chain fell off and broke the ignition points cover (allowing dirt and moisture to cause the breaker points to fail>Loss of spark).Has new OEM points now and perfectly tuned  The cover has been repaired and still shows a tiny crack on the outside. The damage was minimal and the cover is sealed and it has a new drive chain now. This HONDA TRAIL 55 is similar to my first bike a Honda Sport 50, guess that's why I spent so many hours repainting and polishing it. It looks pretty decent. I would like to keep it in a glass case, but just don’t have room for that. You are welcome to see it in Gresham.Oregon and I can run it anytime but it only goes out for fair weather. The bike has a lost title and Oregon DMV is no help there. It will be sold with a bill of sale and buyer is responsible for picking it up. We will not ship it.   If you seen it earlier: I still have the tiny gas tank, I think it looked better. Somebody calculated it had about 8 mile range.       Special thanks to:  Lee for the carburetor, Skiclutter for the  CM91 intake manifold, Karenndale for the new OEM brake cable, Speed Addict Cycles for the RK chain, Parts Avenue for the new IRC tires, Dgs38 for the new OEM points,
