Vintage 1969 Harley Davidson XLCH Sportster Motorcycle With Tons Of Extra PartsTHIS IS A VINTAGE 1969 HARLEY XLCH WITH EXTRA PARTS. THIS BIKE RUNS GOOD BUT IS SOMETIMES HARD TO KICK START. SOMETIMES IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND SOMETIMES KICK STARTING CAN BE MEAN. THE BIKE IS IN OVER ALL IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THE YEAR. THERE HAS BEEN SOME PARTS OVER THE YEARS THAT HAVE BEEN CHANGED FRONT END ETC BUT IS PRETTY MUCH STOCK. I DO HAVE A TON OF EXTRA PARTS FOR THIS BIKE TOO MUCH TO LIST. THE SPEEDOMETER IS BROKEN BUT I HAVE CABLES AND CHROME BEZEL ETC. THIS BIKE MIGHT NEED A TUNE UP AND TO BE DIALED IN BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR MANY YEARS. I GAVE IT A ROAD TEST TODAY AND EVERYTHING WORKED. THIS BIKE IS NOT PERFECT BUT CAN BE WITH A LITTLE TLC. IT DOES SHOW WEAR SCRATCHES SCRAPES NICKS AND RIP IN SEAT ETC AS SEEN. We have a rare non-molested 1969 Harley-Davidson XLCH 900 Sportster for your consideration. The XLCH was HD’s “competition hot” and was released in 1958. Sony Barger of the Hell’s Angels owned a ’65. 1969 was the last year for this classic old school motorcycle. Most of these machines were chopped as was the thing in the day. There is no battery or electric start. There is a system for kick starting these bikes as there is no float bowl. Google it. It’s not a bike for the timid or folks with leg or knee injuries. It’s a big boy’s ride. The motorcycle is owned by my 69 year old heavy equipment mechanic friend. The machine is in excellent and mechanically sound condition. There are 30,000 original miles on it. This motorcycle came with the Akron wheel option as well as the optional drag pipes. It has the Fairbanks Morris Harley magneto, not Joe Hunt. The machine has some minor upgrades. This includes a 38 mm Bendix adjustable jet carburetor, 3/16th stainless steel Buchannan spokes and a La Pree seat. The clutch has been changed to wet, so lubrication comes from the engine. The original factory seat shown in the pictures goes with the bike. The machine comes with extra spare parts such as mag, carb and generator-the original repair manual an old add any anything else we find related to it in the shop. Bike has been repainted in 1969 DuPont Emron factory Blue. The bike was to be auctioned in Houston Texas as a benefit for a cancer patient, but they never paid the donation fee, so we are now putting it into auction. Too many other bikes to keep up. NADA lists prices from $4,260 for poor condition to $16,705 for excellent. 1969 Harley-Davidson Sportster , THIS 1969 HARLEY DAVIDSON XLCH SPORTSTER 55ci was found in my brothers basement when he passed away last July where it has been in safe keeping since 1980. The bike has been looked at by a local bike shop and it does need general repair-carburator, new fuel lines,gas tank cleaned,oil changed,all rubber replaced,spark plugs,wires,new oil lines and tires.the electrical was not checked. The paint is original and the chrome was good for the period. They estimated $600-1000 to do these repairs. We have the service manual,and assorted parts with the original black seat. The bike did kick over. The first picture is the bike now and the second picture is the bike new in 1969. All other pictures are present day. There are more parts than shown and more pictures of the bike. The bike is in Dayton,Ohio. He was the original owner. $14,000.00

Starting 1966 the XL-A’s were made only AFTER the military special ordered one. This bike has a matching engine and frame number # 4D52301H2 You can get information about how many of each model was produced, EXCEPT the XLA. Harley-Davidson will not give any information about Military bikes because of the Government’s confidential rules and regulations. I was told that less than 50 were made for the Military. They were used primarily for parades and escorts. They were ridden and used for parts to keep others running and then scrapped. This is the only survivor I have found other than a 1969 XLA a couple of years ago. This bike does not run. It was taken completely apart in preparation for restoration. I purchased the bike in a “Basket” I have assembled the bike to show it in its basic form and to roll. I have not put all the parts back on the bike. I have a picture of all the parts I have for the bike. (I’m told that it has the wrong carburetor.) All the wiring has been removed but included. The motor turns over freely but needs a complete overhaul. The bike also is in need of a total restoration. Once finished and done right this bike could be a priceless museum piece. The bike has a clear North Carolina Title. It has been signed off by the previous owner and notarized. My name is listed as the “first Re-Assignment” The bike has recorded mileage of 15.342 I’m getting a lot of different opinions about the value of this bike. I really don’t know the value of this bike in its present condition. It is for a collector. I think somewhere around $15,000 when finished. The auction has a buy now price of best offer.
