Unrestored excellent condition, maintained here at GP, Big Bore 750cc kit and just 20,063 original miles. BEST EVER! The 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120 was not only the high water mark in Triumph 650 development, and the year that most people favor as 'the best Triumph Bonneville ever built', it was also the last year before the dreaded Oil-in-Frame bikes arrived, and all the problems with cash-strapped owner BSA began to surface. At this point the Meriden factory was turning out 900 Triumph Bonnevilles a week. I got this bike 2 or so years ago from Choppahead who are excellent Triumph mechanics and builders. I have a few other bikes that they have built for me and don't have time to use all of them! Bike is currently registered and on the road, it is a 5 speed and has a 750cc kit. It is FAST and LOUD! There is no speedometer just a tachometer so mileage is unknown, Bike runs excellent! For Those of you that are familiar with Choppahead they build some really beautiful machines, I know I have some. These bikes they referred to as "rats" means they do not share all the brand new engine components but I have upgraded this it has a brand new cylinder head and 2 carbs. The bike originally came with one carb head which limited it's performance. The bike is finished in Bright heavy metallic silver paint with offset black stripe. Gets plenty of looks everywhere it goes, has Continental tires and hydraulic triumph front end. For a hardtail it rides very nice! Not much to say but it's time for a new home, Choppahead finished a new bike for me called the Nickle Peeper check it out on the website, It's mine! I'm so happy! 1978 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE 750 This Triumph Bonneville 750 epitomizes the early 1970’s British motorcycle that became a permanent part of British motorcycle history and still represents the classic style… The condition of this machine is fully restored. It is the 750 cc engine. It is fully restored as close to original condition as possible and a great rider. The work was done by Aaron's Auto and Cycle in Coal City Illinois. When I purchased the bike, it was taken apart to have some minor repairs done, the engine cleaned, etc. I purchased it 2 years ago and had the bike professionally restored and all parts are original triumph parts from the 70's. Many are original to the motorcycle itself. The chain and a few other minor components were replaced with original parts as well. Besides a complete cosmetic detailing, we went through the entire machine and checked all of the major engine, transmission, and braking components for wear and safety. All gaskets and such were replaced as needed. The gas tank was cleaned and repainted and the carburetors inspected, cleaned, and re-installed along with a new air filter, all fluids were changed, and both front and rear brakes were replaced. The wheels are also original to the machine and are in good overall condition. The tires are in good shape with no signs of dry rotting. The seat is also original to the machine (with minor scuffs)and in beautiful condition as are the exhaust pipes (both commonly replaced and now very hard to find in original condition). The engine and transmission are in excellent interior condition due to the low mileage and absence of any type of harsh conditions or abuse throughout its life. The engine was taken apart and machine-cleaned to its original luster.A complete cleaning and detailing was performed, and although detailing on an original machine is never completed, the overall condition of the finishes is remarkable considering the age of the machine, and is in line with the original mileage. The aluminum and chrome parts are in very good condition overall. You can see from the photo that there is a small dent on one of the chrome pipes. The tank was repainted professionally to the original design. The Triumph on the road is very easy to handle, and rides down the road very tight, with no shakes, shimmies, or rattles. It shifts and accelerates smoothly and holds the road as it should. There is absolutely NOTHING that needs to be done to this machine to ride it and enjoy it. It is a very rare machine, as all of the hard to find original parts are accounted for. The only parts I am not sure of are the mirrors. Unlike other old British bikes for sale on the internet, this one is ready to ride and not in need of any expensive service once you get it home. I have the patches for a jacket, the book for the bike, and even the original tool kit that is stored under the seat! The title is free and clear and in hand. BALANCE OF AUCTION AMOUNT MUST BE PAID BY CASH IN PERSON. I will expect a $750.00 Paypal down payment within 48 hours of the listings end. This will go towards the final cash price when you pick up the motorcycle. The description of this motorcycle is written to the best of my knowledge. However, I am by no means an expert on vintage Triumph motorcycles. Please don’t hesitate to ask for more photos and, if possible, come and look in person before the auction ends. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! If you have any questions, please contact me before the auction ends.If you have any questions, please contact me. If you live close to New Lenox, I encourage you to come and inspect the motorcycle in person! In an effort to protect the eBay user information and to help ensure the authenticity of correspondence between sellers and bidders, eBay’s new listing format does NOT display any bidder information. Nevertheless, I STRONGLY encourage bidders to contact me directly to answer questions or to verify correspondence. 1971 Honda CB750K1 History: In February 1968, Honda organized a team of about 20 members to head the development effort of a new high-performance motorcycle. Around this time, Honda heard from a reliable source that the British manufacturer Triumph was developing a 750cc triple, and in turn, Honda immediately settled on developing a 750cc four to counter the British effort . The in-line four design, with 4 separate exhaust pipes, was chosen so motorcyclists around the world would immediately associate the bike with the Honda Grand Prix road racers of the mid-sixties.A secondary goal was to build an engine that would produce at least 67 horsepower - one more than the most powerful 1300cc Harley Davidson at that time. Lastly, Honda wanted to build a bike with superior performance and reliability. So, in July 1969, Honda introduced the first CB750, and changed the motorcycle industry forever. The initial production numbers were forecast to be only 1,500 per year. Well, the 1,500 yearly goal quickly became a monthly production number, and soon after, the monthly production number rose to an amazing 3,000 units. About this bike: The first Honda CB750 was sold as a "K0" model in 1969 and 1970. The bike for sale here was built in September 1970, and was sold as a 1971 model with the model designation "K1". However, the September 1970 build date means that this bike was manufactured in the original Honda "Factory One" where the bikes were a bit more hand-made, prior to the high production assembly line that came a short time later. The engine on this bike has a hand-ported head from the factory, and some of the frame components are hand-welded. These manufacturing processes were eliminated when the new assembly line was built by Honda to meet the rising demand for the bike. Recently, this CB750 received a complete frame-off restoration, and has been driven approximately 3,000 fair-weather miles since then. The frame was media blasted and received professionally applied black lacquer. NOS parts include the HM300 complete exhaust system, NOS rear shocks, NOS turn signals, and NOS tank and side panel emblems. Other new components are the swing arm bushings, front and rear wheel bearings, rebuilt carbs, new carb manifolds and boots, front brake pads, control cables and nearly all the rubber parts, bumpers and grommets. The tires are Bridgestone Spitfires with period correct sizing and look.Mechanically, the motorcycle is completely refreshed and the bike runs strong and stops as it should. The sound of the exhaust is really nice as these original pipes are a bit less restrictive than the later HM341 exhausts. Cosmetically the bike is a 9+ with all re-plated hardware and excellent chrome everywhere. The paint on this bike is new, very beautiful and unique for a Honda sold in the United States. The inspiration for the paint came from a Honda CB750 color called "Polynesian Blue Metallic". It was offered only in the European and Japanese markets and was not available in the U.S. It is not the same color as the Candy Blue-Green offered here in the U.S. in 1969 and 1970. Finally, the bike is just plain stunning. Take a look at the photos and see if you agree. This bike would more than hold it's own at a concours show. But good looks aside, I like the fact that the bike works so very well. It is really fun to ride, and for me, I think I would do as much riding as displaying. I am selling this bike on behalf of one of my restoration clients. Questions and/or offers can be directed to me. Feel free to call Bill at (805) 708-1129 Comes with a Clear Arizona Title. The bike is located in Santa Barbara, CA 93105. Shipping costs to the lower 48 States can run between $250-650 depending on your location. Arranging and paying for shipping are the responsibility of the buyer. I do have several shipping contacts that I am happy to share with you. The bike can be stored for several weeks (if paid for) while you arrange your transportation. International buyers are welcome. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours and is non-refundable. Stock # X065971978 Triumph T140E classic. The 650 cc capacity production T120 Bonneville was replaced in the early 1970s by the T140 Bonneville, the same basic machine but with a 750 cc engine. Refined from the later 'oil in frame' version of the T120, the first few T140s, designated T140V, featured a larger-capacity engine of 724 cc, a five-speed gearbox and indicators, but still retaining drum brakes and kick-start. Shortly after, the engine was further bored out to 744 cc and front disc brakes were fitted (using single discs until 1982). While originally intended for 'export only' the 750 Bonneville twin, caused so much interest among visitors to the 1973 motorcycle shows, that Triumph decided to put the bike on the home market at the price of 679 uk pounds. In 1975, along with engine modifications, the gearchange lever was moved from right to left to comply with new regulations mandated for the American market and a rear disc brake fitted. Several T140 models followed featuring various modifications and refinements including electric starting from 1980 until production ceased with the closure of the Meriden works in 1983.Although this should have been the end of the Bonneville, as it turned out it was not. Triumph Motorcycles was acquired by businessman John Bloor, who licensed a company called Racing Spares in Devon, run by Les Harris to manufacture the T140 Bonneville. These continuation bikes are known as the 'Devon Bonnevilles', which did not reach the market until 1985, and were not sold in the U.S. Production ended in 1988For more info please call Steele's Cycle at 303-781-5339 or visit our showroom for a test ride! 2015 Triumph Bonneville Two-Tone, **Price does not include $750 in Triumph Vouchers. Price with Vouchers is $8000 2015 Triumph Bonneville Two-Tone The most famous name in motorcycling. Bonneville stands for freedom, open roads, independence and some of the most stylish motorcycles ever made. Still looking, sounding and feeling like a proper motorcycle should, today s Bonnie connects you to over 50 years of heritage but is built with everything that comes with modern engineering too. We ve made sure that, to this day, a Bonneville retains all that's great about the name. You still get the breathtaking looks on a bike that is dependable enough for everyday use, easy and fun to ride. All at an entry level price. So you can still feel the same ride today as they did way back. Features May Include: The Look It s all there for you. The sweeping curved top of the fuel tank, authentic twin rear shocks, long reversed cone silencers, the chromed headlight bowl and yoke mounted instrument pod. Pure, classic Bonneville. Engine The iconic, air-cooled parallel twin sits proudly at the heart of the Bonneville. Setting the style for the entire bike. The engine and transmission has been engineered with the look of the classic Triumph twins in mind. Even the fuel injection has been moulded so you get the appearance of a pair of carburettors and there are double overhead camshafts despite what looks like a pushrod tube at the front of the engine, just like Bonnevilles used to have. Wheels Cast aluminium, just like the ones used on Bonnevilles in the 1970s. Performance From day one Bonnevilles have been built to be ridden, not just to look good. Today, this 865cc parallel twin puts out a healthy 68PS with 68Nm of torque at its peak, with plenty available at low revs so you get most use out of it. The fuelling is controlled by a sophisticated management computer programmed for clean emissions and a smooth, predictable throttle response. So there s enough performance to be fun for experienced riders but not so much that will intimidate riders with fewer miles behind them. Configuration A pair of cylinders still stand upright and proud at the heart of the Bonneville. With a wide bore and short stroke that adds up to 865cc for high levels of efficiency and low wear, with four valves per cylinder for the best breathing and power. There are balance shafts tucked away inside the crankcase so you ll notice very little vibration for a parallel twin and, being air cooled, there s no radiator to spoil the view. Frame All of our extensive chassis experience and technology has gone into the Bonneville s simple tubular steel construction. Providing easy, neutral steering and exceptional balance even at low speeds. Brakes Inspired by the 1970s Bonneville,

We are thrilled to offer such a unique and rare piece of motorcycle history. If you’ve got a Triumph-sized hole in your collection and want something pretty wild and very cool, this might fit the bill. The Triumph Hurricane X75 was a bit of a mongrel from the word go. Originally a BSA design, with very sleepy, Triumph Bonneville-esque style, the honchos felt it was way too conservative for American tastes. Famous designer Craig Vetter was tasked with a stylistic redo, and the resulting bike was different, to say the least, with a very 60’s chopper style and a distinctive triple exhaust slung along the right side of the bike. When BSA went under, 1,200 engines were put aside and the bike was rebranded as a Triumph.Three cylinder motorcycles in general are pretty neat sounding machines. Not quite as brutal as a thumping twin or single, not as smooth or refined as a four [or six!], triples make a very raw, iron-fist-in-a-velvet-glove kind of roar. Vetter was commissioned by BSA's US distributor to customise the BSA Rocket 3 to appeal more to American tastes. When, in 1968, the new BSA Rocket 3/Triumph Trident triples were shown to the American BSA-Triumph management, they were underwhelmed. They knew Honda had an important bike (the CB750) coming along, and they felt the triple's price of $1800 [4] was too high and that technical details (like vertically-split crankcases and pushrod ohv valve train) were far from "cutting edge". However, they acknowledged that the bike was fast, and a sales team led by BSA Vice-President Don Brown decided to launch the bike by using a Rocket-3 to set some records at Daytona, records which were broken in 1971 by the Kawasaki Z1. Brown felt that the BSA/Triumph triples needed a different look to succeed in the USA, and he engaged designer Craig Vetter to give the BSA A75 a customised face-lift, with a brief to make it "sleeker and more balanced". (Brown revealed the Vetter project to Peter Thornton, President of BSA/Triumph North America, but as Brown's initiative had not been authorised by BSA, Vetter had problems being paid, waiting two years for his fee). Vetter created the Triumph Hurricane in the summer of 1969,[5] and in October 1969 he unveiled the prototype with "BSA" on the tank as the new ‘Rocket Three’.[6] Thornton and the American officials were impressed, and Vetter's bike was then sent to the UK, but the bike arrived in England just as the BSA marque was about to be ended. At BSA-Triumph's design facility at Umberslade Hall, the design was seen as too "trendy" by chief designer Bert Hopwood; but after very positive public reaction to the design when it appeared on the front of US magazine Cycle World in October 1970, the UK managers changed their minds. They realised they had a large stock of obsolete BSA Rocket-3 parts that could now be turned into a premium-priced motorcycle. Engineer Steve Mettam was given the job of supervising production for the 1972/3 season; and the Vetter BSA Rocket3 became the Triumph X75 Hurricane. 1,183 engines were put aside for X75 production. However, BSA was facing bankruptcy and the design went into a limited production run of 1200 as the Triumph X-75 Hurricane in 1972. Production stopped in 1973 after the X-75 was unable to meet new American noise standards. Here are the specs: 1973 Triumph Hurricane X75Years produced: 1973 Number produced: 1,172Claimed power: 58hp @ 7,250rpmTop speed: 114mph (period test)Engine type: 741cc air-cooled, OHV inline tripleWeight (dry): 458lbMPG: 40-45Price then: $2,295 Thank you for looking, please feel free to ask any questions.
