1971 Honda CL100 Scrambler 99cc, single cylinder, 5 speed, 4 stroke kickstart only only 2300 original miles weighs less that 200lbs. has a center stand and kickstand this is an amazing find for it's age. it has minimal cosmetic issues. some small scratches on the fuel tank, cracks in the plastic, and one small patch on the leather, everything else is pristine! new battery new tires new kickstart spindle new carb new seals new chain all other regular maintenance was just done all repairs and maintenance, since I've owned it, has been done by professional mechanic these little bikes were originally meant for kids, most were torn up and left outside. This one has somehow managed to stay in almost factory stock condition. In the almost two years I have owned it, it's been stored inside away from the elements. the guy I bought it from had also stored it inside his garage. such a fun little bike to goof around on and show off this would probably be better for someone who has owned an older bike and understands what comes with owning them comes with... clean Georgia title original owners manual (I downloaded it and had it bound) a brand new headlight (the one current only has a high beam, very easy switch out) 1900 OBO or best offer willing to shiptags: honda, vintage, cafe racer, scrambler, dual sport, blue, sporty, small, motorcycle, bike, dirt bike, mint, hipster, moto

1971 Honda CB350, RETRO - Engine: 324cc air-cooled OHC parallel twin, 64mm x 50.6mm bore and stroke Claimed power: 33hp @ 9,500rpm Top speed: 100mph Weight: 346lb (157kg) Fuel capacity/MPG: 2.4gal/45-50mpg Price then/now: $700/$1,500-$4,000 Honda might not have been the first motorcycle maker to market a high-pipe 2-cylinder scrambler, but it was probably the most successful. Many manufacturers had traveled down the scrambler-style street-oriented route before Honda, including BSA and Triumph. None of them, though, were as successful as Honda and their CL350 model, and according to Honda restoration guru Charlie O?Hanlon, none of them have the same cachet. They were built to be ridden, they were built to be reliable, and they were built for people to have fun on them. Honda broke open the American market for small, rider-friendly motorcycles in 1959 when they established their import business in LA. Prior to Honda, many of the motorcycles being ridden on the streets and in the dirt in the U.S. were heavy American-built V-twins. Lighter British iron was more sporting, but still featured relatively crude production qualities.

Offered is my 1971 Honda CT70. There is not much that is stock. Features, in stream of consciousness order: Frame stripped bare, shot blasted and painted the 1969 color (just because I like it better). Faithful reproductions of all original stickers are placed under the professionally applied PPG urethane clearcoat. Repowered with Daytona 150cc engine. Daytona is not a Chinese company, they are a Japanese company. The metallurgy and quality control is superior. It is not a “big bore” copy of the Honda 70 motor like some others; this has a gear set matched to its power characteristics. Parts, should you ever need them, are readily available and I will provide all the info that came with it. The original CT70 engine was 5 hp. The 150 Daytona has 12.5:1 compression and more than three times the HP. Four speed, CDI, 28mm Keihin carb, K&N filter, 10-core oil cooler, full-bore exhaust. Yes, it is scary quick and the top speed is close to twice that of the best CT70 ever. As I have it geared it cruises comfortably in the 50-60 mph range. It will go faster but if that is what you want to do you should probably be riding your other bike. OK, so if you can go fast then to be safe you need the chassis to match. Has a wider-stance male-slider fork with tapered roller head bearings. Hydraulic front disk brake. Aluminum wheels with 120/90-10 Michelin Reggae tires, the rear is brand new. I didn’t wear that tire out; I did something stupid and cut it. The handlebars look like CT70 and still fold like CT70 but are both taller and wider and more suitable for an adult. These bikes were made for kids, remember? Air/oil rear shocks. Seat was replaced and is still like new. The ride is surprisingly nice. Let’s be clear here, it is still a “monkey bike”, but with nicely compliant suspension that is very un-CT70 like. The scratch-free windshield is of course well below eye level and acts more like a fairing. Ok, so the CT70 had a 0.4 gallon tank under the seat. Well, with a 28mm carb that won’t get you too far, so this hot rod has a 2.5 gallon keg tank mounted in a Shad 40L top box . That is the primary tank and the 0.4 gallon under-seat original now acts as the reserve. There is still room in the box for your sweater and gloves etc. but don’t think you are going to store your helmet in there. All hardware is stainless steel. The original speedo had a 50 mph max and so it eventually failed. I just replaced it with one good to 80 mph so that problem is solved. Personally I ran a gps on it and always used that because it was easier for me to see. The gps shown in the photos will be removed and is not included in this auction. The bike has about 1,200 miles on it, 100% on pavement. The donor had like 1,700 miles on it but that is irrelevant. The entire electrical system is new; no brittle old Honda stuff. Has a helmet lock and a lifting handle. Comes with a couple of new heavy duty tubes and spare sparkys. Has a clear PA title and a new PA inspection good through 8/31/2016. The buyer gets every paper involved in the build so you will know where every single part came from. You will get photos of the original donor bike. I did not build this for profit; I built it to my specs for my own use. The problem is, I am 58 now and she is just sitting while the comfy touring bikes are getting all the exercise. I am not a desperate seller. I invested $5,000 and a lot of time I this. My reserve is less than half of that. I realize this bike is not for everyone but look at what stock old CT70s are selling for with their 38 mph down a hill engines and pogo stick suspensions. Bid: You will not be disappointed. The one downside of owning this bike is that every time you stop somebody is going to come over and say “I had one just like that when I was a kid”. And of course you will be thinking “OK, Pal”. Buyer is responsible for pickup. If buyer arranges pickup I will see that bike gets on truck at mutually agreed time. I may be able to deliver within a few hours drive of western PA if buyer covers costs but this must be pre-discussed and agreed upon.

For auction: My 1971 Honda C70 M scooter mileage 1650. I am the original owner. It was bought new in 1972. It had sat for a year on the showroom floor. It has an electric start that works fine, as well as a kick start. My parents bought it for me when I was 14 in Alabama to get back and forth from school and marching band practice. It was never abused. Apparently I've been an outlaw as my parents never re-licensed it after 1974. All miles were put on in the first 4 years because I bought a car when I was 18. At that time we were in S.California and that's where the scooter sat for the next 36 years- in my mom's garage. I hauled it back here in 2012 with the idea of having it fixed up. My aim was to make it ridable. The restorer went all out so I'm into it for well over what I'm asking. (by the way- he is a professional). While it has sentimental value to me, there's a time to let things go. I recently had the title changed into my name from my fathers name. I did not purchase tags as I expected to sell it and new buyer could be out of state. It came out of rehab with 1638 miles on it and I've ridden it to the DMV for inspection and for a gas fill up. I only fill it with clear gas (non-ethanol). I'll continue to ride it now and then to keep it in good order until sold. Condition: Sold "AS-IS". It is not a 100% restored scooter. I use the term "rehabbed". The mechanical issues from sitting so long have been dealt with but the body has surface flaws mentioned in the conditon description above. There are a variety of body scratches that just don't show in photos. The color is bright red, not pink as some photos may appear. It comes with a Ctek UC 800 6 volt battery charger with the connection installed on the battery for easy hook up and removal without opening the side panel. This trickle charger keeps the battery charged & conditioned between uses. I bought the charger new last year for this scooter. It has another set of aligator clip connectors that comes with it along with a vinyl pouch. The eyelet connectors are installed on the scooter as mentioned before. There is a photo with the plug sticking out from under the right side panel. I've had the scooter up to 45 miles per hour on a flat road. Best uses are in-town, local driving. Great scooter for students, retirees, snowbirds who want it to haul on their motorhomes, or anyone who could use a ride that's inexpensive to operate and insure. It's easy to ride. It has a 3 speed transmission that you shift by foot. There is no clutch- you just ease off the throttle and shift. It has a foot lever for the rear brake and a hand lever for the front. Easier to flat-foot than a vespa because there are no floorboards to get in your way or stretch around. Honda dealers are everywhere should you ever need anything. The Rarity Factor: Honda started selling 70cc scooters in the US in 1970. This model - the C70 M - was made by Honda for only 2 years- 1970 & 1971. Those are the only 2 years that it came with a 2 seater bench seat. In later years it was renamed the Passport. In many states this scooter will qualify for registration as an antique vehicle. I encourage you to come see it in person! Look it over in person. If you have any questions -Ask Them Before Bidding!!! SHIPPING: I prefer you pick it up yourself. I might possibly delivering it to certain areas of western Oregon for additional cost if I am available and it works with my schedule. If you might want that discuss it with me before bidding. I'm in and out all day long and my hours vary but I will keep an eye out for questions. If you wish to ship it out of the area I would recommend certifiedautoshippers.com - but any shipping will be at your own personal expense. Their numbers are ( 541 ) 991 - 8778 and ( 503 ) 985 - 6161. Mention me if you talk to them. Specifications for the scooter I found online: Dry weight 180.8 lbs Overall length 70.9 inches Overall width 26 inches Fuel capacity 1.1 US gallons Understand this: Other shippers will quote you rediculously low prices. They can quote you anything but it's the trucker who makes the decision. The quote is posted on a dedicated board for truckers. If he can't make money he won't pick it up. The only way to get it done will be to raise your bid. Certified will give a rate that has a chance to actually be picked up. They will not take any money from you until your vehicle is on the truck. Certified Autoshippers is a 5 star rated shipper. They use truckers with proven reputations. If it should sell off of ebay thru other means I will end the auction. I am not responsible for the scooter once it goes on the truck. Be sure you choose a responsible shipper.

I bought my bike on may 05,2004 after having owned several Hondas from 1971-750cc to Honda 1100 shadow but never a fully dressed bike like my Goldwing. Original owner had extras installed and I bought it with 6,000 miles on it. I commuted from downtown Houston,Tx to IAH airport for 12 years taking advantage of the HOV lanes.Nothing major has gone wrong with this bike except maybe a torn reservoir for coolant which a metal spike had punctured underneath my chassis.I'm not rushing to sell it or get rid of it but selling it is better than trade-in

Back then, British twins, usually Bonneville engines, were used to form the basis of home built bikes. Used to race from one café to another, they featured extensive modifications such as dropped bars, single seats and upswept exhausts. To this day, we’ve kept many of these styling cues for the modern Thruxton. Named after the high speed British circuit where Triumph enjoyed great success in production racing, it follows in the tire tracks of the legendary 1960's Thruxton T120R. And just like those café racers of the 60s, the modern Thruxton is Bonneville based but nowadays, our engineers have made sure it rides like a modern Triumph twin. So it’s dependable enough for everyday use, easy and fun to ride yet still evokes the classic café racer look. MSRP$9,099.00DIMENSIONSLENGTH84.6 in. (2,150 mm)HEIGHT43.1 in.
