Own a classic! This 44 year old Barn Find, 1971 Honda CL175 K5 Scrambler, was found in a barn in Minnesota 12 years ago with 724 original miles on it. It was, and still is, in pristine original condition. The farmer who purchased this bike in 1971 took a spill after putting 724 miles on it and put it up in his barn, never to ride it again. You can see from the front left fork photo that there is minor damage to the left fork ear and a tiny bit of rust on the headlight. There are also a few paint chips and one very minor ding in the gas tank. Since I purchased it 12 years ago, I have put 828 miles on it. I believe that the motor is finally just now beginning to break in. It runs like a new bike, because it essentially is a new bike. It has been kept in my garage and cared for with white gloves. This is the perfect bike for the collector, or the rider who wants a beautiful classic get-around bike. This listing is priced OBO Columbus, OH. 1967 Honda CL175 Scrambler Frame: CL175-6005604 CLEAR TITLE. Manufacture Date: 12/70. Barn find. Has not been run in many years. Engine turns over freely with the electric starter.....but I have not tried to start it up. The lights come on and electrics all appear to work at this time... Missing right plastic side cover. Missing the points cover. Slides are stuck in carbs so they need to be freed up. Tank has no fuel in it nor do the carbs. The tank has some rust and will need to be cleaned but it is not too bad. see picture please. Clutch pulls in solid and feels good and the bike shifts through sll the gears. The brakes work too. For Sale:Honda SL175 K1This bike has been rebuilt over last winter. All parts were replaced with genuine Honda parts. Over winter all new standard piston rings were installed along with all new gaskets on the entire motor. The carbs were dismantled and cleaned. A brand new petcock was installed since the original one leaked fuel(I still have the original if needed). Brand new battery was installed just last month. Brand new air filters were installed. The bike is in fully running condition it starts up on first couple kicks. There are no missing parts on the bike all the lights function properly. I am the second owner of the bike and have the original title for the bike. The bike was never really rode much we took it up north for light trail riding years ago but since it just sat in the garage till i decided to get it running and rebuilt it. The bike has 2029 miles on it. I am able to ride the bike down the road and shift through all the gears nice and smooth. The only issue I'm having with the bike is to keep it idling it seems to want to die if i leave it idle for too long. The bike also starts to rev up to 6,000 RPM at random when left idling. I am sure it has something to do with the carbs possibly the float gets stuck open and letting more gas causing it to rev up to burn off excess fuel. I decided to just leave it and let someone that knows how to properly check them handle the carb adjustments. If you want to check it out i can show it to you on the weekends.
