I bought the bike last year with the intention of keeping it for a while, but things change. It needed a little work when I bought it and since I thought I was in for the long haul I never got around to changing things. The last owner did some work on it before selling, new UNI pod filters, aftermarket fairing (not pictured but included), and a fresh oil change. The bike is in very good overall condition for being 43 years old. Brakes, lights, signals, etc. all work. I took it out for a 10 mile ride when I first got it and unfortunately not out on the road again since. I have stored it in my garage since and do occasionally fire it up. It's biggest need is to sort out a small oil leak that seems to come up after it's run a bit. It doesn't seem to show any signs while running but upon going out the garage the next day some oil can be seen on the ground. Second is for safety sake it could use tires, there is tread left and they hold air just fine BUT there are dry rot cracks so they should be changed before putting a bunch of miles on the bike. The previous owner also noted an exhaust leak at one of the cylinders. Other than those specific item it could benefit from general lubrication and cleaning up. The chrome is in great condition for the age of the bike. Some pitting and rust on some surfaces, but the bulk of the front and rear fenders and very clean. The paint on the has some streaks where gasoline has spilled at some point. The seat is in great condition with no rips. I'll also include a small original two page Honda brochure for the 1971 CB500 model, that I had purchased separately. Here is a video of the bike running. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMmDXP1q2Rg&list=UUGATXmhP98D7IT_qVHMd_7Q

1971 Honda CB500 Four, This is a tastefully restored Honda motorcycle which is in outstanding condition. Receiving both mechanical and cosmetic rejuvenation, this is truly a piece of history one can find pride and joy in immediately. Featured on this bike are the original dent-free tank and matching side covers with the lustrous original paint. The original model/branding emblems are also present and look superb. The engine in this cycle has been upgraded to a fully rebuilt CB550 engine and carburetors to increase performance. The seat has been upgraded to a Cafe styled piece, including the Honda branding to complete the look. The exhaust system has been replaced with a Mac 4-into-2 system coupled with fresh exhaust gaskets - this results in a pleasant thrumming engine note without being obnoxious or vibey. The intake system is in the original configuration for this model with a brand new K&N Drop-In filter to freshen things up. The original chrome fenders, spoked rims, and engine covers have been polished to a shine and are quite eye-catching. The carburetors have been meticulously rebuilt with all new gaskets and seals, correctly adjusted floats, synchronization set, and mixtures tuned to match the exhaust change. All of the electrical components including the lights, horn, and electric starter are original to this cycle and function excellently after having each of their terminal connections cleaned. The engine has received a valve adjustment, retorqued cylinder-head bolts, and fresh gaskets & seals. It should go without saying that this cycle received new plugs, new battery, an oil change, new ignition-points & condensers, a brake adjustment & fluid change, lubricated control cables, and quality tires. The results are a cycle which runs, rides, and shifts very smoothly through all of the gears - it doesn't smoke from the exhaust or leak any fluids. It's ready to be loved for many years to come. ________________________________________________________________________________ Model Features: Chain Drive, Five-Speed Transmission, Front Disc & Rear Drum Brakes, Adjustable Rear Shock Suspension, Chrome-Spoked Wheels, Electric & Kick Starting Systems, Side & Center Stands, Passenger Seat & Foot Pegs Click for Buyers Guide Disclosure and Inspection Notes! ________________________________________________________________________________ Model History: This is a tried and true Honda CB motorcycle; these bikes are known for exceptional performance and longevity. This bike is a CL350, not the CB350. Didn't see that option in the listing...The CL350 is very similar to the more common CB350. The CL350 was the Scrambler model that has a slightly longer wheelbase, larger tires, different handlebars, and side pipes. As you can see, the side pipes were replaced on this bike with more of an aftermarket CB style pipe. This is a good upgrade because the CL pipes got very hot and usually rusted out. Super fun to ride. Lightweight and responsive. Never dropped. Cranks right up and runs great. Doesn't need a thing. 9,528 original miles. Not bad for a 45yr old gem. It has Mikuni VM series carbs. Overall it's in excellent condition with very little rust. The paint is in good condition but has worn through in a few places (see tank photo). This bike is great for commuting to work or tearing up old fire trails. It's a great starting point for a café project, or you could restore it to all it's original glory with just a little elbow grease. The iconic Hondas will run forever with just a little maintenance here and there. I have the original luggage rack, original side covers, and a whole box of other CB stuff. Just put a brand new battery in it. I have the clean SC title. Asking $1800. Cash only. Serious inquiries only. No trades.

~ 1971 CB500 Four K0 Super Sport ~ Frame/VIN# 1002857 Meaning it was made 2857th of the first year of production of the CB500 Four. Engine # 1003111 Engine was made 3111th...These are "matching" VIN/Engine #s for Honda in 1971. Comes with another tank and side covers, the 1971 brown version (which this bike was off the production line). The brown tank is in similar condition, looks new with the one dent being on top and in a nice easy spot to repair. I will also include a very nice perfectly clean DENT FREE TANK that has been painted in the cafe racer style. Thats three tanks, so no worries on what to wear to the party. I will post photos of the other tanks and side covers as well as a video in the next 2 days. The mileage is unknown because the one of the few missing parts when purchased was the Speedometer. After 1.5 years of restoring this machine along side 3 other cb500/cb550s with varied mileage, with first hand knowledge of the engine internals, their comparisons revealed a good estimate of this here beauty's mileage to be around 8-12K. A look inside the top end and the cylinders, showed the stock pistons and rings all were in good condition. The tiny stamped markings on the rings were still clearly visible which points indicates lower mileage. While in the top end I cleaned ALL the carbon build up on every part. It looks new inside. Valves and Seats were lapped until smooth, they are air tight now, and the # 3 exhaust valve was replaced. All new valve guide seals were then installed. Then to give the bike a HUGE BOOST in power the legendary CB650 camshaft swap was performed. The difference this upgrade makes is just plain awesome. This 45 year old machine has lots of power with rebuilt top end, performance cam, and its a lot lighter than stock with the 4 into 1 pipes... short muffler in place of the long and weighty 4 into 4 pipes took lots of lbs off her. Carbs have been ultrasonic cleaned, and freshly rebuilt with new o-rings and gaskets. The bowls and slide covers have all been polished. New tygon fuel lines. New Stainless Steel Hex screws are in place of the old float bowl screws which makes rejetting much easier. Speaking of rejetting, the carbs are still 100% stock with 40 pilot jets and 100 main jets. She runs very strong especially at low and middle rmps, but shes loosing a little "umph" at wide open throttle. With the uni foam air filter and 4 into 1 exhaust I'd recommend 110s for the mains, the pilots should be just fine. 4 new 110 main jets cost less than $20. Needle clip is also in the stock position. As far as tuning the carbs, you can change both the needle clip position and main jets with a screwdriver and hex key...and most importantly without the laborious task of removing the carburetors. I am willing to install any new jets if the buyer has them sent to my address. New cylinder base gasketNew Head gasketNew oil passage o-rings and 6 new rubber pucks under the valve coverNew valve cover seal8 New intake manifold o-ringsNew spark plugsNew Spark Plug CapsNew Uni Hi-Flow Air FilterNew rocker cam cover o ringsNew tappet cover o ringsNew points cover gasketNew Stator Cover "HONDA" PlateNew Stator cover gasketFront forks disassembled, cleaned, inspected and rebuild with new sealsNew OEM front Fork BootsWheel bearings are smoothNew front brake master cylinderFront brake caliper assembly disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt with new seal.New bronze motocross racing (lightweight) handle bars ($130)New GripsNew rear Tank mount rubberNew batterySpeedo, tach and headlight bucket have been sanded and repainted with 2 stage urethane satin black and clear coated.Bike comes with the original 1971 OEM owners manuel and tool kitAlso the original handlebars for returning back to stock if desired Not-perfect-by-any-means ListOriginal seat cover looks really good, there are one or 2 tiny pin holes in the 45 year old vinyl. Front fender has some little scratchy-dings and some pitting in the chrome. Rear fender looks better but still has tiny pits that you can see when you get your face up close. Tachometer isnt hooked up right now due to the cb650 cam upgrade. The worm gear on the cb650 cam doesn't play nice with the stock 500 tach gear, so it required the removal of the cb500 tach gear. The cb650 tach gear will need to be installed before the tach will work. As of now the hole for the tach gear is capped. Otherwise, I have the original camshaft and tacho gear gingerly tucked away in a box for the winner. For the over all aesthetics of this resto-mod build I removed the front blinkers, but I can install them no problem at the wish of the winner. Currently the left tank emblem is off to show the tank dent. I will install for winner of auction.Tank is incredible to look at except for the unfortunate crease-like dent on the left side. Its a weird dent because despite its size, it sorta hides itself...especially when shes on the side stand. Neutral can be a little stiff at times, NOT TERRIBLE AT ALL came this way stock in 1971, honda later issued a parts fix for this in a 1972-3 bulletin. Rear brake arm needs a longer shaft to mount to. I will fix before winner picks up. I have a video of a walk around and drive off that will be posted in a link below in a couple of days. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! I'm selling my 1971 Honda CB500.It has been rebuilt and customized over the years all by trade professionals, i.e. not a home build project bike. Everything I can think of saying about it is below, if you have any other questions or request feel free to contact me. Most of the bike has been customized in the Japanese Brat/Cafe style its a very strong running and driving bike, very light and fast for a 500 with comfortable cruising at 30 or 70 mph. It starts right up in good weather and need a little choke if cold, it rides and shifts like you would expect and stops on a dime. The engine is standard '71 CB500 setup with the exception of K&N filters and custom 4 to 1 exhaust purchased new from "dimecitycycles", its got the classic honda trumpet sound (see video) but you can pull the baffling from the muffler fairly easily if you want straight pipes. The motor was rebuilt by the previous owner and I had it recently checked to be in good working order with great compression, he found no issues with the drive train.Electrical and charging system has been gone through and updated to support the Ballistic 8 cell lithium battery, daytime running head & tail light and aftermarket controls. The tank was professionally cleared, resealed and the emblems shaved prior to painting. The gauges work, mileage is actual to the best of my knowledge and I can't pin point the motor rebuild because I don't have docks but my mechanic tells me it can't be more than 7500 miles.Clip on bars, awesome seat and seat pan with a custom aluminum box under to hold wiring and battery, its also got both the side and center stand. EMAIL ME FOR A VIDEO LINK OF START, WALK AROUND AND ENGINE REV. See the photos for minor chips in paint. Other than those chips there is wear as expected for a 43 year old bike, its a driver not a show bike you'll get compliments and inquiries wherever you go. Its currently registered as a collector vehicle in Washington State with a clear title, vin, and motor # inspected by the state patrol this month. Payment must be made within 48 hours of purchase, please do not waste my time if you're not ready to buy.Ask before you buy, all sales are final and the bike is as is no warranty (just like any classic vehicle) but I promise you'll love it.Buyer is responsible for shipping setup and payment. I will make sure I'm available with reasonable notice to accommodate shipper or local pickup.

Descended from the original factory customs, the Dyna™ series lives at the crossroads of style and performance. Born of an undying urge to chase far-flung horizons. This year, the family gets a wheel-to-wheel redesign. One look and you see the machine is substantial in every detail. From the mass of the 49 mm raked forks to the muscular 160mm rubber in back. On top of the new tough look, you’ll notice performance upgrades, too. Beginning with a whole new gearbox. The all-new 6-speed Cruise Drive™ transmission is ready to kick its legs out on the open road. The clutch takes less effort to pull, making all six gears even more satisfying. A new frame, new 1" front and rear axles, and a wide swingarm make handling tighter than ever. Also for 2006, you’ll find all Dyna 1450cc Big Twins equipped with consistently smooth-operating Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) standard for the first time ever. You might find it hard to believe, but we did all this without compromising affordability. No one but Harley-Davidson® could ever take the factory custom to a place this good. When Willie G. Davidson’s Super Glide® rolled off the line in 1971, you could see it was different. Fat rear tire beneath a boattail fender. Narrow front end. Big Twin engine in the center. Gleaming red, white and blue paint on a one-of-a-kind shape. Thirty-five years later, The Motor Company announces the Anniversary Edition of the Super Glide®. Wide handlebars Fat Bob™ fuel tank with dual caps. Loads of chrome parts. The famed #1 logo emblazoned on the tank, just as it was on the first model. Even the paint scheme does the original machine proud. Each of these limited-production bikes is individually numbered. Don’t wait another 35 years to get yours.
