Offered is my 1971 Honda CT70. There is not much that is stock. Features, in stream of consciousness order: Frame stripped bare, shot blasted and painted the 1969 color (just because I like it better). Faithful reproductions of all original stickers are placed under the professionally applied PPG urethane clearcoat. Repowered with Daytona 150cc engine. Daytona is not a Chinese company, they are a Japanese company. The metallurgy and quality control is superior. It is not a “big bore” copy of the Honda 70 motor like some others; this has a gear set matched to its power characteristics. Parts, should you ever need them, are readily available and I will provide all the info that came with it. The original CT70 engine was 5 hp. The 150 Daytona has 12.5:1 compression and more than three times the HP. Four speed, CDI, 28mm Keihin carb, K&N filter, 10-core oil cooler, full-bore exhaust. Yes, it is scary quick and the top speed is close to twice that of the best CT70 ever. As I have it geared it cruises comfortably in the 50-60 mph range. It will go faster but if that is what you want to do you should probably be riding your other bike. OK, so if you can go fast then to be safe you need the chassis to match. Has a wider-stance male-slider fork with tapered roller head bearings. Hydraulic front disk brake. Aluminum wheels with 120/90-10 Michelin Reggae tires, the rear is brand new. I didn’t wear that tire out; I did something stupid and cut it. The handlebars look like CT70 and still fold like CT70 but are both taller and wider and more suitable for an adult. These bikes were made for kids, remember? Air/oil rear shocks. Seat was replaced and is still like new. The ride is surprisingly nice. Let’s be clear here, it is still a “monkey bike”, but with nicely compliant suspension that is very un-CT70 like. The scratch-free windshield is of course well below eye level and acts more like a fairing. Ok, so the CT70 had a 0.4 gallon tank under the seat. Well, with a 28mm carb that won’t get you too far, so this hot rod has a 2.5 gallon keg tank mounted in a Shad 40L top box . That is the primary tank and the 0.4 gallon under-seat original now acts as the reserve. There is still room in the box for your sweater and gloves etc. but don’t think you are going to store your helmet in there. All hardware is stainless steel. The original speedo had a 50 mph max and so it eventually failed. I just replaced it with one good to 80 mph so that problem is solved. Personally I ran a gps on it and always used that because it was easier for me to see. The gps shown in the photos will be removed and is not included in this auction. The bike has about 1,200 miles on it, 100% on pavement. The donor had like 1,700 miles on it but that is irrelevant. The entire electrical system is new; no brittle old Honda stuff. Has a helmet lock and a lifting handle. Comes with a couple of new heavy duty tubes and spare sparkys. Has a clear PA title and a new PA inspection good through 8/31/2016. The buyer gets every paper involved in the build so you will know where every single part came from. You will get photos of the original donor bike. I did not build this for profit; I built it to my specs for my own use. The problem is, I am 58 now and she is just sitting while the comfy touring bikes are getting all the exercise. I am not a desperate seller. I invested $5,000 and a lot of time I this. My reserve is less than half of that. I realize this bike is not for everyone but look at what stock old CT70s are selling for with their 38 mph down a hill engines and pogo stick suspensions. Bid: You will not be disappointed. The one downside of owning this bike is that every time you stop somebody is going to come over and say “I had one just like that when I was a kid”. And of course you will be thinking “OK, Pal”. Buyer is responsible for pickup. If buyer arranges pickup I will see that bike gets on truck at mutually agreed time. I may be able to deliver within a few hours drive of western PA if buyer covers costs but this must be pre-discussed and agreed upon.

Thinning out the collection. This is the nicest CT I have and most all have been restored. This thing is like a piece of jewelry. It has been restored by a high end European car restorer in northern California about 3 years ago. I have had a lot of these machines over the years, but this one hands down is the nicest paint I have ever seen on one. This machine is mint. Motor rebuilt, cases being split and only fired for test run then fluids drained and shipped to me. This is KO with K1 front forks and suspension. I have never tried to start it, but I did not buy it to ride, just to stare at. This bike has always been inside in a smoke free and pet free environment. I go over all the bikes with a duster every couple of weeks, but there is some dust in the nooks and crannies. Mint Condition with paint a mile deep. No issues here. Clear California Title. I have others along with XR's and SL's. Any Questions, email me or call 972-922-two-nine-nine-six. Thank You Jeff

Good Day. This auction is for a 1971 Honda CT 70H rare 4-speed clutch model. I started the restoration process but have simply run out of time and space to complete it. I sell this bike with a heavy heart for it is the one I used to have as a child. It runs and shifts in all 4 gears beautifully. The motor and frame are all original. Mileage approx. 2,260. The paint is also the original Topaz Orange which has a few minor scratches for a 44yr. old antique bike, but no where near enough to even consider repainting. (see photos) Handle bars are straight and in great shape. All parts with the exception of the seat are original Honda OEM as you'll be able to tell by the photos. Newly replaced parts include the: Seat, total exhaust, grips, hand levers, front and rear wheel rims, tires & tubes, rear shocks, battery, kick shift lever & gas tank. The only major thing left to do was send out the engine to be re-polished and painted. I never did because I was so happy with the way it ran I was afraid it wouldn't be the same when I got it back!Everything; lights horn, brakes are in working order. Starts on first kick and idles like a champ. It's really a clean looking original parts bike that has received many compliments by friends and neighbors. The bike is available for local pick up only. Paypal deposit due with 48hrs. or close of auction. Balance in Cashiers Check at pick up. Serious bidders only please.

This is a 1971 Honda CT70. Frame number is CT70-253498, Engine number is CT70E-274847. The left crankcase half was replaced during the engine rebuild which explains the 21K point difference in the serial numbers. I rebuilt the engine and transmission within the last couple of months. The rings, clutch discs, seals and all gaskets were replaced with new. Also replaced with new was the stator, points, condenser, and ignition coil. The carburetor was replaced with a new CHP carburetor. I went through the electrical system and replaced the battery with a sealed lead acid unit, the ignition switch, horn, horn button, dimmer switch, front and rear brake light switches, and tail light bulb. All parts were purchased new for this bike. The throttle linkage was worn out and replaced with new, as were the throttle cable and front and rear brake cables. Front grips, fork boots, buddy pegs and left wheel adjuster were all replaced. This bike was put back into a 100% functional state. All systems work as intended. It's a great rider! Engine runs flawlessly, shifts through all gears, and rides straight. It has it's share of bumps and bruises from 44 years of use, but overall is in pretty good shape as seen in pics. Bike will be sold with " Bill of Sale" only! No shipping on this bike. Local pick up only! Check U ship. On Sep-06-15 at 19:46:58 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a Honda CT70 which has a 3 speed semi-automatic transmission. It is not the CT70H model which has the 4 speed manual transmission.

You are viewing a fully restored Honda CT70H, this is the manual 4-speed model. Nothing was over looked during the refurb of this fine example of everyone's favorite little mini-bike. Yes this is a matching number and titled Honda Trail 70. Marble Motors did themselves proud on the Candy Emerald Green paint for frame #CT70H-124528. Darrel Gunderson also worked his magic on the engine #CT70HE-124705. This guy is extremely good, quick and amazing! This thing looks as good as the day some lucky kid brought it home for the first time. You remember that? How crazy we all were about that Honda CT70? The “I’m not a mini-bike nor am I a big bike” little motorcycle? Only had 3-speeds for about a year then Honda unleased the beast! Yeah you know what I’m talking about! They did it! Hand clutch and four speeds! And the colors now…orange…blue. But the green…I know, right? Green was king! I sourced a NOS speedometer for this build. Also the complete Honda exhaust is new. Wire harness, chain, sprockets, cables, battery, rebuilt forks, tires & tubes - new. Correct headlight with both the vertical and horizontal adjustment. Much, much more. Questions/comments/concerns, please contact me through eBay. Shipping sole responsibility of buyer. I'll assist as far as pushing the bike down the driveway to the receiver. I've done it many/every time like this - no issues. No crating, breaking it down, transporting, etc. No Paypal for deposit or more specifically - full payment. Cashier's check, wire transfer or cash-in-person only.

This little ct 70 is 100% original, except for the exhaust pipe. I am offering this at a fixed price of $1,450. I live 60 miles from San Antonio Texas and I can deliver this within a 60 mile radius of me in Kerrville Texas free, otherwise you can pick it up. Because there was no ethanol in gasoline when this Honda was made I use aviation fuel, which is in it now. Has a new battery also. I don't think you're going to find a better little Honda that is 45 years old than this one. Bill of sale only, and thanks for looking, good luck.

Beautiful Emerald Green 1971 Honda CT70H 4 SpeedBuild Date 12/1970Vin# CT70H143738 Engine # CT70HE143838Mileage 1390 Now about the bike. I will do my best to describe it but being human can be subject to error. Please look at all the pictures I have provided and ask any questions you might have before placing a bid. The bike starts right up drives straight and shifts good. The horn, high and low beam, brake light, and speedo all work as intended. The paint is still extremely nice but does have its flaws such as scratches and chips. The headlight bucket is intact free of any of the usual cracks. The fuel lines appear to have been replaced and the footpegs have been painted. The chrome is in great shape for its age and is still very clean. It does have some of the normal patina you get over time. I did polish the triple clamp, points cover and cam chain cover with Mothers polish to clean them up. The seat pan is in great condition. The seat is still nice but does have some small rips you can see in the pictures. I believe the small rips didn't warrant replacing the seat cover and taking away from the originality of the bike. The bike comes with a California title and Street Legal License Plate. It is currently in Non-Op status with the DMV system since 2009 so all you have to do is pay the current registration of approximately $81 if you want to put it back on the road. You will also receive 1 key. Overall I think this bike will make any collector proud. I always say " A bike can be restored over and over again making it nicer then the new ones. But an original can only be that way 1 time." Happy Bidding Payment$500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction. I have a 1971 Honda CT70H for sale. It has been completely restored to better than new condition. All the parts used to restore the bike are OEM Honda parts, and a few parts from CHP. This is a rare vintage bike,4 speed with manual clutch, and they only made them a couple of years, and is very collectable. The bike runs and shifts like new, and the clutch is new. The engine has been totally gone thru and rebuilt. all new seals, gaskets, cylinder honed, new piston and rings, new valve seals and valve job. The stator is new, 2 new coils, points and condensor. Has new chain and sprockets, new tires and tubes, and new brakes. All the cables have been replaced, new wiring harness, new ignition switch with 2 keys, new headlight and tail light, new horn, horn button, high/low beam switch, and new bulbs in the speedometer, and a new battery. The bike was stripped down to bare metal and primed. Then painted with Honda Candy Emerald Green paint, 3 coats of base, 3 coats of Emerald Green, and 3 coats of clear coat. New decals and emblems were applied. It has a new seat, all the chrome is new, fenders, handlebars, tail light bracket, skidplate and exhaust guard. New gribs and levers. The only thing that isn't OEM is the exhaust, as I couldn't find one at the time. But would be simple to replace with original exhaust if you wanted to change it. The bike only has about 10 miles on it since it was completed. Its a great bike to ride, or to put in your collection or Man cave. You wont find a nicer Trail 70 anywhere, it wasnt this nice looking when it was new. The pictures speak for themselves, take a good look at the detail. I have a clear title for the bike, and it comes with a tool kit and owners manual also. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I went way over board on the costs of putting this bike back together with over 3k in paint & parts alone you would not be able to restore a bike to this level any cheaper so with said I'm selling at a loss to move on to other projects my loss is your gain. If you look at other restored CT70's they are selling for way more than I'm asking. Right Decal has small rub mark from rear brake cable not routed properly but has been corrected , Coil wire has a burn mark from the head but works fine I didn't feel like spending another $100 for a coil lol.
