Purchased new in the summer of 1971 from Easton Honda in Easton Pennsylvania. This 1971 Hona Ct70h was owned and enjoyed by a family to get around the streets of Easton and never left town covering just over 1500 miles. It was always cared for, stored in doors, and regularly maintained at Easton Honda. I spent an afternoon just this past weekend with the owner of Easton Honda from 1965-2003. He remembered the bike and family specifically. He went into detail about how much they cared for it and how 'the mom' would sometimes ride it in for its routine maintenance. He also remembered the day the family picked the bike up, he told them how important it was not to lift the rear end of the bike by the seat, and that if they did it would crack the seat pan. All of this information may not be of interest to everyone, but I personally love all of the details and background that make up the history of each bike. For sale is the pictured 'candy blue green' 1971 Honda CT70H. For those of you that don't know the 'H' designates the (4) speed clutch model which is a lot more fun, a lot faster, and more desirable. Of the 3 colors offered that year I like this one the best. Frame # CT70H-112713. Engine# CT70HE-112552 Manufactured 6/1970. It is 100% original down to the grips, tubes, tires, and original battery. It has never been touched up, detailed, painted, or restored. The pictures really speak for themselves, it is in unbelievable condition for a 43 year old motorcycle. It starts 1st kick, will run/idle all day, and rides as good as it looks. All switches, controls, speedometer, and lights work as they should. As instructed the bike was never lifted by the seat so the original seat and seat pan are free of any cracks, bends, or damage, and still safely holds the original tool kit. It is a very special little bike with a great 1 family history. Please view all pictures and read entire description. Included in the sale is the bike as pictured, a new yuasa battery, a clear NJ title in my name, and a notarized bill of sale. I do not get involved with shipping or crating, please have your finance and shipping logistics sorted out prior to bidding. Any potential buyer with less than 10 positive feedback, please contact me before bidding. Failure to do so will result in bid cancellation and and blockage from future auctions. Restored / refurbished things are nice, but they will never have the character or value of an original.
