Original Barn Find 1971 Honda SL70 Survivor Mini Bike Here we have for sale a beautiful original barn find 1971 Honda SL70 mini bike This is a wonderful survivor mini bike that is unmolested. I found this bike stashed away in an old barn way out in middle of nowhere California. This bike has been sitting idle for a very very long time. I think the license plate says it was last registered in the late 70's. I could just have a few years of use on it. I don't know the exact mileage on it because the early SL70's, like this bike, did not have speedometers on them, they were an option or an accessory that you could of put on the bike. The only things I have replaced were the grips, but they are OEM Honda and match the original style perfectly. And I replaced the cables but they too match the originals. The bike is such a cool motorcycle that you just don't see in this condition. They are only original once and that is what makes this bike so neat. SL70 Hondas are pretty scarce and don't not come up for sale often like the Trail 70's and 90's do. This is actually one of my favorite bikes of my collection because you just don't see them. I like the unique and different Hondas that were produced back then! The paint is all original and untouched on the bike. The tank is in great shape with just a little fading on it from time sitting. The original warning decal is still present on the tank. The fenders, both front and back are in great shape. The paint is pretty nice on the two and show just a little wear. The front fender has a little chip on the edge of it, on the front. The frame is original paint and has just the normal wear from your foot on it and some chips and scratches underneath it. The side covers are original and have original red paint on them, they do have some fading on them from sun exposure. The chrome is all original on the bike and has some pitting and patina on it from sitting with dust on it for such a long time. The tires are both original to the bike but are cracked all over them. The exhaust is in pretty nice shape with just a couple little dings in it and a little pin hole under it that you can't even see from the side. The bike has the same engine as the four speed clutch Trail 70's. The clutch works great and works as it should. The engine runs great and doesn't make any funny noises or smoke. The original carburetor was rebuilt and new fuel lines were run. The original petcock was rebuilt with a new packing kit from Honda. The seat is also all original which is so hard to find on bikes. The seat is still pliable and the foam is soft. It has come apart at the seam in the back, it's very minor though. The headlight and tail light both work but I would replace the battery because I don't know how old it is. Overall this is a rare bike that is original and you just don't find them untouched and unmolested like this. This has been greatly cared for in my hands but it's time to let it go. I do NOT have a title with the bike, I repeat, I do NOT have title with the bike, it has been lost most likely 40 years ago when it was last registered. It was last registered in California some 40 years ago. This bike is being sold as-is because I can not guarentee anything on an old bike and I do not know the history of the maintenance done or not done on this bike. I am trying to describe the bike to the best of my ability. Please contact me with any and all questions that you might have. I can hold and store the bike for a month in my climate controlled garage so that the winning buyer can arrange shipping. Thinning out the collection. This is the nicest CT I have and most all have been restored. This thing is like a piece of jewelry. It has been restored by a high end European car restorer in northern California about 3 years ago. I have had a lot of these machines over the years, but this one hands down is the nicest paint I have ever seen on one. This machine is mint. Motor rebuilt, cases being split and only fired for test run then fluids drained and shipped to me. This is KO with K1 front forks and suspension. I have never tried to start it, but I did not buy it to ride, just to stare at. This bike has always been inside in a smoke free and pet free environment. I go over all the bikes with a duster every couple of weeks, but there is some dust in the nooks and crannies. Mint Condition with paint a mile deep. No issues here. Clear California Title. up for sale is my 1971 Honda SL70. I bought this bike when I was fourteen and rebuilt it in highschool. the bike is in nice shape, It runs and rides great. there are a few defects with the bike. the front fender has a small crack in it from normal use. there is a scratch on the tank under the gas cap. the Honda sticker on the right side of the tank is slightly out of place and the front tire is weathered but still holds air, it may bee the original front tire. as far as I know these are the only defects. I have a headlight, tail light, battery box, wire harness assemblies for the bike that is included. I do have both the headlight and taillight brackets for the bike. This bike is in great shape and has a lot of new parts on it. It would be a great bike to teach your kids on or an easy Restoration project. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Available for Ebay sale is this 1971 Honda SL70. An older restoration, the bike runs great, carburetor and fuel valve have recently been cleaned and adjusted, and although there are some flaws this little SL70 shows very nicely and has great potential to become a spectacular example of a most sought after little Honda. Apologies include, missing battery, I do not know if the light and horn work, both side covers are very brittle and cracked, some pieces are missing on the edges, ignition cover has a small crack; however there is no missing aluminum, spokes and hubs have been rattle can spray painted, front fender bracket, side covers and rear fender have been rattle can sprayed, engine paint is not the best and could use a proper respray, seat has some cracks in the cover, holes in grips at the ends, cables are dry and faded brown, tires need replacing, etc.....etc....etc... I don't want to hide anything, all of the short comings are over shadowed by the fact that this is a nice complete bike that runs very well. Gorgeous Bike. I bought it but need to pass it along because my dream bike is now available. Nice Honda SL350 build date 11/70 Within the last 50 miles/2 years, this bike has been largely restored by the gentleman I bought this and another bike from. I do NOT have a long time history with this bike. When I bought the bike a few weeks ago the bike started easily and ran, shifted, stopped etc. When I got it home, it did the same, starting on the 2nd kick.... I assume it will do the same for you... but please remember this is a 44 year old bike. Blows NO SMOKE!!, does backfire on occasion. Clutch is smooth and shifting is too. Handlebars and fork ears nice and straight Took pictures in Garage and outside to give a clearer image of vibrant color, etc This is a restoration that resulted in a real nice bike. It is NOT a world class restoration, That said..... It will save you untold hours and dollars in work..... The paint is correct candy ruby red with clear coat. It is nice paint, not perfect... but nice. Inside tank real nice. Gages correct and work I have a clean, no lien Michigan title from 1973, it was signed by it's owner, probably decades ago. Notorizing is almost a "lost art" in Michigan and there is no notary signature. This is the title you will receive. The "new owner" area is completely blank, ready for your name. If this is an issue for you for some unknown reason, please don't bid. Of course I will provide a bill of sale, or you can just use a printed copy of the e bay listing. The are NO erasures or "scratch outs" or other alterations to the title and the title matches the frame neck Pipes quite nice. I am pointing to a repair that's needed in one picture. I could have fixed in a few minutes with JBweld and some spray paint.. but the pipes on these bikes are a big deal.. so that's not fair. Bike sounds good so correct baffle must be in there. no tool kit or tool kit cover. There is factory appearing foam on the air cleaners on each side.. so all ok there side covers uncracked with all pegs in place new petcock does need a gasket leaks some oil good battery 6170 miles Chrome is very nice, not perfect.. but real darn nice espessilly the shocks. seat must be a recover as it very nice and firm Basically no nicks in frame paint. Saw pictures of the bike down to the frame and repainted. Tires older, may be original, as they appear correct but with some wear... certainly good enough to ride around the campground or go get ice cream on a summer evening. All in all a nice bike that you can show your buddies the first day you get it home, stare at it... and remember when...... Happy to work with you shipper all I can, local pick up OK.
