1972 BMW R 75 , Matching numbers 1972 BMW R75/5 in very good condition with the original Monza Blue paint, pin striping, chrome tank panels, and chrome side covers. The frame and tank/fender paint, and the chrome tank panels are all in good condition with a few chips/scratches/checks and the patina of age, as you can see by the photos. For auction: My 1971 Honda C70 M scooter mileage 1650. I am the original owner. It was bought new in 1972. It had sat for a year on the showroom floor. It has an electric start that works fine, as well as a kick start. My parents bought it for me when I was 14 in Alabama to get back and forth from school and marching band practice. It was never abused. Apparently I've been an outlaw as my parents never re-licensed it after 1974. All miles were put on in the first 4 years because I bought a car when I was 18. At that time we were in S.California and that's where the scooter sat for the next 36 years- in my mom's garage. I hauled it back here in 2012 with the idea of having it fixed up. My aim was to make it ridable. The restorer went all out so I'm into it for well over what I'm asking. (by the way- he is a professional). While it has sentimental value to me, there's a time to let things go. I recently had the title changed into my name from my fathers name. I did not purchase tags as I expected to sell it and new buyer could be out of state. It came out of rehab with 1638 miles on it and I've ridden it to the DMV for inspection and for a gas fill up. I only fill it with clear gas (non-ethanol). I'll continue to ride it now and then to keep it in good order until sold. Condition: Sold "AS-IS". It is not a 100% restored scooter. I use the term "rehabbed". The mechanical issues from sitting so long have been dealt with but the body has surface flaws mentioned in the conditon description above. There are a variety of body scratches that just don't show in photos. The color is bright red, not pink as some photos may appear. It comes with a Ctek UC 800 6 volt battery charger with the connection installed on the battery for easy hook up and removal without opening the side panel. This trickle charger keeps the battery charged & conditioned between uses. I bought the charger new last year for this scooter. It has another set of aligator clip connectors that comes with it along with a vinyl pouch. The eyelet connectors are installed on the scooter as mentioned before. There is a photo with the plug sticking out from under the right side panel. I've had the scooter up to 45 miles per hour on a flat road. Best uses are in-town, local driving. Great scooter for students, retirees, snowbirds who want it to haul on their motorhomes, or anyone who could use a ride that's inexpensive to operate and insure. It's easy to ride. It has a 3 speed transmission that you shift by foot. There is no clutch- you just ease off the throttle and shift. It has a foot lever for the rear brake and a hand lever for the front. Easier to flat-foot than a vespa because there are no floorboards to get in your way or stretch around. Honda dealers are everywhere should you ever need anything. The Rarity Factor: Honda started selling 70cc scooters in the US in 1970. This model - the C70 M - was made by Honda for only 2 years- 1970 & 1971. Those are the only 2 years that it came with a 2 seater bench seat. In later years it was renamed the Passport.In many states this scooter will qualify for registration as an antique vehicle. Most people tend to think of the high quality coupes and sedans offered by the Japanese auto manufacturer. Many would be surprised to learn that this company actually got its start making vehicles of the two-wheeled varieties. In the years following the second World War in the Far East as well as in Europe the demand for motor bikes and motorcycles seemed to reach an all new high. In answer to this growing demand for affordable, convenient transportation in the urban areas and elsewhere, several companies got their starts including Honda. After the initial production began, it didn’t take long for the superior engineering and designs to make their mark on the local market. The company’s dirt bikes and motorcycles were soon entered into competitions and races all over Europe and the East. As a result, the Honda name, along with its products, quickly became a common everyday household word throughout the world. As pretty much everyone knows, Honda continued to grow and produce a more diversified line of products, including adding cars to the mix. However well received its four-wheeled offerings have been there are plenty of Honda fans who remain so because of the company’s motorcycle products. All of this leads us up to the present day and release of the 2013 Honda Fury. This street cruiser bike is getting plenty of attention from fans and the experts alike. Like most of its siblings and predecessors, the Fury is an incredibly well built machine with plenty going for it in terms of engineering and design. The body style is on the sparse side for what many people think of in terms of a cruiser. It doesn’t have the almost heavy appearance so much of its competition does. Visually the design is intended to draw the eyes to the impressive and incredibly powerful V-twin engine. All of that chrome sitting under the seat is hard to miss. The sleek black gas tank only helps to enhance the overall visual appeal of the Fury. The handlebars are set low enough to allow for fast riding, while still providing a comfortable position for those long drives. After all, the 2013 Fury is a cruiser after all. While good looks are worth their weight in gold, it would be a mistake not to mention the power and superb handling of this bike. The impressive V-twin engine has already been mentioned, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to do so again. Almost every test rider has had positive things to say about this powertrain. It has sometimes been described as the world’s first superbike. The Z1, along with Honda’s CB750 from 1969, introduced the four-cylinder, across the frame, disc-braked layout to a wider public. The Z1 was groundbreaking in that it combined many different elements which previous motorcycles had used into one performance package. The Z1 Kawasaki was developed in strict secrecy under the project name “New York Steak”. Some years previously, Kawasaki, already an established manufacturer of two-stroke motorcycles, decided to make a 750cc 4-cylinder 4-stroke sports motorcycle; they were beaten to the market place by the Honda CB750. Apparently, the bosses at Kawasaki disapproved and ordered their designers to come up with something better. The bike you see here is a ’73 Z1 900 that is in beautiful condition. We have the original retail buyers order and agreement that shows the bike was originally purchased June 18th, 1974 from Strathroy Small Engine. The bike retains its original engine (Z1E08169) as shown on the original bill of sale. The original paint on the bike is in near perfect condition with no imperfections to note. The emblems are all original and correct for the bike as well. Both stainless steel fenders look great with no damage or pitting showing to either. The seat looks great with no rips, tears or wear. The original 4 cylinder, 900 cc engine runs great and starts up with a push of the button. Brakes work as they should and the bike shifts with no problems.
