Up for grabs is a rare first year 1968 Honda CL350 Motorcycle. This bike came off the line in 1968, and is titled as a 1968. Clean, clear Michigan title provided with sale. Frame # 1008489 Engine # 1009759 This bike was purchased locally. It was then taken to a reputable Honda dealership that specializes in vintage Hondas, so that they could go over the motor and replace gaskets and getting it running as it should be! Below, I have tried to dissect the bike's condition so that you have a better idea of what you are bidding on. Please view pictures closely! Tank – Nice condition tank with original paint. Badges are all present, and in good condition. Original gas cap, also in good condition. Inside of tank is VERY clean, with little to no rust. It has some chipping up near the steering stem, and also a few small scratches. Wheels – Both wheels are in very good condition. No bends or dents evident. Some very very slight surface rust appears on a few of the spokes and throughout the wheels. Exhaust - The exhaust on this bike is unfortunately cracked near where the pipe meets the muffler (see pic). The rest of the exhaust system is very clean and solid. Tires – Both tires are in good condition. Bridgestone 5703 and 5704. May be original tires? Tons of tread left, and no major signs of dry rot or cracking. Grips – Grips are in fair condition. Throttle side is very nice still, clutch side is more worn, and has a hole in the end of it. Gauges – Although the tachometer and speedometer are both in great physical condition, neither one functions correctly. The speedometer does not move at all, while the tach will bounce in high rpm whenever the bike is running. On that note, both gauges are in near perfect condition. The trim rings have no rust, and faceplates are not faded or cracked. I debated on purchasing working gauges to include with the bike, but decided to leave the old ones on there since they match the title, and are original to the bike. Side covers – Both side covers are in excellent condition, original paint, and have no cracks or missing pieces. Battery – Brand new battery installed. Stands - Both the side stand and center stand are present Seat - Original seat , with original cover. Cover has a hole in it near the tank (see pics) Electronics - Front and rear signals are all in good condition with no cracked or missing lenses. Brake light, headlight and signals all work. The horn also works. Fork Ears - Both original paint, but both have cracks in the paint as if the headlight was tweaked at some point in the bikes life. 1972 MICHIGAN PLATE Included with the bike. The bike starts instantly (a little choke when it's cold), runs and rides very well. Hop on and go! A large amount of money was spent at the dealership to get this bike running the way it should be, saving you from having to spend the money in the future. It is not perfect. You will find some scratches on the tank as mentioned above, throughout the frame and other random places. It will have some surface rust on parts of the bike. With that being said, it is a complete , original, VERY NICE bike. It is a true head turner, and this is your chance to own it! Buyer is responsible for any costs associated with transporting the bike. Depending on the time, I will more then likely be available to assist loading it. A $200.00 deposit through Pay Pal is due immediately after auction ending. The balance can be paid in cash , or cashiers check within 7 days (the bike will not be released until the funds have cleared). Please see my positive selling history so that you can be confident with what you are bidding on. Good luck!

I BOUGHT THIS bike FALL OF 2011 AND TOOK IT OUT OF A 31 YEAR STORAGE. IT WAS ORIGINALLY THE CANDY PANTHER GOLD WITH 8800 MILES. IT LOOKED GOOD BUT EVERYTHING WAS FROZE TIGHT....FROM CABLES TO BRAKES TO ENGINE TO CARBS. I COMPLETELY DISMANTLED BIKE AND EVERYTHING BLACK WAS SANDBLASTED AND RESPRAYED. EVERY NUT AND BOLT IS ORIGINAL, POLISHED AND PUT BACK IN ITS SPOT. THE ENGINE BROKE FREE VERY EASILY DURING DISMANTLE AND EVERY PART WAS PRESSURE CLEANED, PAINTED, RERINGED AND PUT BACK TOGETHER WITH NEW POINTS, PLUGS. THE CARBS WERE EXTREMELY BAD AND EACH ONE WAS BOILED IN LEMON JUICE FOR 5 HOURS AND HAVE ALL NEW SEALS, JETS, FLOATS AND NEW CHROME TOPPERS. THE GAUGES WERE FADED SO THEY WERE COMPLETELY TAKEN APART AND RESTORED TO NEW CONDITION..DURING THAT SPEEDO WAS SET BACK TO ZERO. SEAT WAS DISMANTLED AND SEAT PAN WAS SANDBLASTED AND RECOVERED. SWITHES WERE EVEN FROZE AND FADED SO THEY WERE REPLACED WITH NEW ONES. I HAD ONE OF THESE 30 YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS A KID AND MINE HAD BEEN REPSRAYED MAROON..SO I WANTED TO GO BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD AND INSTEAD OF PAINTING ORIGINAL COLOR. I SPRAYED IT harley BLACK CHERRY. AND IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL IN THE SUN..  THE BIKE WAS FIRED UP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 30 YEARS AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP AND RUNS FLAWLESS...ITS A GREAT RIDE. I HAVE PUT 494 MILES ON SINCE REBUILD. BUT SAD TO SAY IM GONNA LET HER GO TO SUMONE WHO WILL ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I WOULD BUT I WANT TO BUILD ANOTHER ONE CUZ THERE AS MUCH FUN TO TEAR DOWN TO RESTORE AS THEY ARE TO RIDE.....SO HERES YOUR CHANCE FOR AN ALMOST NEW CL350...

Please be sure to READ complete listing to be sure you understand exactly what you will receive from me. 1972 Honda CB350 Motorcycle About the Bike This listing is for a 1972 Honda CB350 with Clear Title. I acquired this bike from a garage sale. It was not my personal bike. My intention was to fix it up and replace the missing parts, but have too many projects. I brought it home and cleaned it up. The bike does not start. It is non-running. This motorcycle has lots of potential! Bike has excellent compression. Carburetors may need to be gone through. It may need the points cleaned up. I believe it needs minor mechanical work to be a running motorcycle. As far as cosmetics, it needs a missing front brake caliper assembly, missing rear turn signals, missing side covers, missing rear grab bar, missing point cover and front mirrors. There is a small dent in the gas tank. Seat cover is ripped. There is some surface rust (See photos.) Bikes has 7600 original miles on it. Bike has a lot of potential to be a show bike. Again, you are bidding on a non-running bike. Please view photos closely to accurately determine the condition of this bike and please ask questions prior to purchase. I am happy to answer any questions prior to purchase. Payment Deposit will be required within 24 hours. Full payment must be made within 3 days. Please contact me for payment arrangements and options. Shipping Buyer is responsible for picking the bike up or arranging shipment. (I can refer you to a reliable shipping company if needed.) I can crate the bike if needed for an additional fee. Please contact me for details. This item has been described to the very best of my knowledge. I try my very best to make sure each item is described accurately.

13,750 mile 1972 Honda CB350K4 This motorcycle maintains its original parts and has undergone a recent FRESHENING including: POR-15 Frame Coat, VHT High Heat Engine Paint, Ultra-Sonic Carb Cleaning and carb adjustment, all aluminum, chrome and bolts de-rusted, polished and waxed, all original paint work buffed, polished and waxed, seat cleaned and conditioned, timing set, new spark plugs, Honda GN4 oil change, new Motobat sealed battery, new tires, tubes and chain, all cables lubed, all electrical connections cleaned. Everything works, even the front brake light switch. As with all 40 year old motorcycles there is paint fade with the red, but you can see from the photos it is still very stunning. The right muffler has battery acid staining as does the rear fender to the left of the right side cover. The inner half of the right muffler was bead blasted, cleaned and painted with high heat silver to correct battery acid staining. There is no factory owner’s manual or tool kit. The Honda CB350 was produced in smaller numbers than the CL350 Street Scrambler and is a great starter bike or around town grocery getter. This one is a looker with its red body work and fresh frame paint. Electric start makes for an easy get away. This was my rider recently at the Barber Vintage Motorcycle Festival, where it received many complements.Shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. This motorcycle because of its age is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty either express or implied. The seller cannot accept any responsibility once it leaves his care for any damage or performance. Not returns or refunds will be issued.

They still have the sprue nubs! - New Petcock (they wear out and it was recommended by my mechanic when he replaced the tires)- Point adjustment (another recommendation by my mechanic). This has improved the performance of the bike and truly made it feel like a brand new bike.- Full run through all mechanical and electrical elements to make sure the bike was in tip top shape.- New battery In the interest of full disclosure, I have been honest in the photographs of the bike, including it's imperfections. I will also do my best to list them here, and they are included in the photos of the bike. I considered fixing some of them, but to me, it added character to the bike and I wanted to maintain as much of the original bike as possible. - Small crack in the rear light cover (cosmetic only, it has not affected function or integrity). - A few tiny chips in the tank paint (road scars)- Small amount of scratches on the exhaust cover (top cover, over the cans) which could be replaced but is barely noticeable (I could hardly get a photo of it). This doesn't look like the result of a drop, but rather someone using something too abrasive to clean the chrome in the affected area.- Small crack and chip (repaired but visible in the right side air filter cover. These are barely visible, but again, I'm looking to be as honest as possible.- Tiny scratch on the left gauge. - A bit of wear (patina) on the underside of the frame (left side). Serious offers only. Thank you for your interest.

BUY A BIKE YOU CAN RIDE TODAY. This is TRULY a solid and one of a kind find. WATCH THIS BIKE RUN SAMPLE RIDE THIS BIKE WILL TURN HEADS, and if you plan on taking it out, plan time to stop and talk with people about it. I've loved owning this bike, but I've also loved the connections I've made with people through owning it. Whether it's the big Harley guys down at Dinosaur Barbecue (Harley Central) excited to see their first bike resurrected, or the young kids who love the vintage look and the unique styling of the high swinging Scrambler pipes, I am stopped and complimented absolutely everywhere I go on the bike. It's been very exciting and gratifying to share the story of this bike and hear the stories others have to share about their love for it. I recently had the bike professionally detailed, and when I went back to pick it up, the owner of the shop told me people were asking about the bike left and right. He even kept it for an extra day because HE couldn't believe it's condition. I've seen similar bikes on ebay and youtube and I can honestly say, I believe this bike to be superior in every way. - Chrome is original and in beautiful condition- Rubber fork boots are soft and shine beautifully- Aluminum elements are polished to a beautiful finish and really set the bike off and make it sparkle- Seat is in perfect condition, no cracks or tears and is still supple - Gauges are vibrant, as the bike has never sat in the sun.- Gauges have NO condensation or cracking (common on these bikes)- Plastic covers and rubber ends are still on the brake and clutch levers.- Original grips.- Bike starts immediately and needs VERY LITTLE warm up time. It's actually better to get it up and running right away.- Bike idles perfectly. - Revs and comes back to idle with no dipping or stalling. This bike still has all the original safety stickers on it! These bikes are gas efficient and highly desirable. In an age of $4.00/gallon gas, it's great to only burn two gallons a week, if that. That said, they can keep up with 650's. These bikes were made to be light and quick. Plenty of pick up! History of the bike: I have owned this bike for four years. I purchased it in 2010 in Fairport, New York from an individual who owned a small motorcycle shop. He and his employee had worked on the bike a bit and run through the basics to make sure it was mechanically sound. The bike had been part of an estate sale and had been perfectly stored and preserved in well-to-do Pittsford, NY. Whoever owned this bike obviously loved it enough to store it in a climate controlled environment and make sure it was preserved. When I purchased the bike, it had not been registered in almost 30 years! I went through the process of registering the bike with the DMV, which took almost a year!! As it is a 1972, and titles were not issued in NYS until 1973, the bike had only it's VIN as a record and a transferable registration from 1972. I now have the "new" registration and have kept the bike up to date, registered and insured for the last 4 years. From day one, the bike started on the first few kicks or with a press of the electric starter. But while I was waiting on the DMV I performed the following: - Full Carburetor rebuild- Full Carburetor tuning (a difficult task that takes great patience and a lot of trial and error)- Replaced the throttle cable (very important on a 40 year old bike. The last thing you want is a throttle cable to stick) Two summers ago I decided to perform some other upgrades. I had a professional mechanic who specializes in these bikes perform all of the work: - New tires, haven't even been scuffed in yet. They still have the sprue nubs! - New Petcock (they wear out and it was recommended by my mechanic when he replaced the tires)- Point adjustment (another recommendation by my mechanic). This has improved the performance of the bike and truly made it feel like a brand new bike.- Full run through all mechanical and electrical elements to make sure the bike was in tip top shape.- New battery Now, all of that being said, this is a 42 year old motorcycle. DO NOT expect the amenities of a modern bike nor the condition of a brand new bike. This bike is in amazing condition for it's age, but it is NOT A NEW BIKE NOR A SHOW BIKE. In the interest of full disclosure, I have been honest in the photographs of the bike, including it's imperfections. - A bit of wear on the paint, underside of the frame (left side), typical wear and tear. Reason for Selling the bike: Clearly, I love this bike. I must say, I will do everything in my power to ensure that it is in the condition described when it arrives to it's new home. But it is sold AS IS, with no warranty. So please read the description, look at the photos and watch the videos on youtube to gain an understanding of what you're bidding on. It is an absolutely great bike and I have spent hundreds of hours and a lot of money making it so. Honestly, I'm selling this bike because even though I love it so much, I just don't have the time to ride it and keep it running as well as it does now. At one point I considered making it a permanent installation in my eclectic living room, but I can't imagine making it sit and not letting someone enjoy it the way it should be. These bikes need love. That being said, I'm not desperate for the money, so please don't waste my time or your own. Only make an offer if you are serious and capable of paying for the bike. I will not entertain low ball offers, someone will want and appreciate this bike as much as I, and I'm willing to wait for that to happen.
