For sale is a 1972 Honda SL350 K2. When purchased, the bike it was already in good condition except for the paint. The tank, side covers and head light had been painted orange and the frame was black. The bike was then stripped down to the frame. The frame, engine side covers, upper and lower triple tree clamps, swing arm, rear brake brace and chain guide were sent out to be powder coated back to the correct silver color. The top triple tree clamp was powder coated the correct black color. The engine side covers were powder coated the correct grey color. The tank, side covers and head light were sent out to be re-painted back to the original blue metal fleck color with yellow inlays with black pin stripes on the tank. The yellow inlays and black pin stripes on the gas tank were originally decals. I had the inlays and pin stripes painted on and then clear coated. The paint job is flawless. The mufflers were in fair shape with no rust or holes but they did have the usual dents. The entire exhaust was sent out to a metal smith for restoring. The results were well worth the time and considerable expense. The fenders were already in good condition and have not been polished. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts great and did not need any major work. The bike only has 7K miles on it and the engine did not look like it had ever had any major work done on it. The cylinder and heads cleaned up very nicely but have not been polished. The cylinder does not have any broken cooling fins or damage. The carbs were taken apart, cleaned and re-assembled. The tires were new when I purchased the bike. The wheels were already in good condition when the bike was purchased. All the control cables, including the very hard to find rear brake cable, were replaced with exact re-production cables in the correct grey color. All the brakes and wheel bearings were replaced. The front forks were rebuilt with new seals and fluid. The wiring harness has not been cut or altered in any way. Almost all the nuts, bolts and other fasteners were replaced. A new battery was installed. All the steering bearings and seals were replaced. New seat cover was installed. All the Phillips head screws holding the engine side covers on were replaced with stainless steel Hex Head screws that won't strip out when removed. I have a correct toolbox that goes with the bike but the toolbox cap is missing. I have a clean and clear Kansas title in hand. The Honda SL350's are desirable collector bikes and this one is exceptional. It is ready to ride or show and even draws a crowd at the Harley shop. If there are any questions, please ask. The bike is for sale locally so the sale may end early. Thanks for looking.
