1972 Kawasaki S2 Mach II up for sale. This bike is mostly restored and runs and rides great! Clean title in hand. I spent about a year and thousands of $$ restoring this bike back in 2012ish. Now I don't have a good place to store it or enough time to ride it, so it's time to pass it on to someone else who loves the classics. 350cc 2-stroke triple (3-cylinder) engine. Odometer reads 2xxx miles, but I've put less than 900 miles on the bike since full engine rebuild and restoration. Brand new ignition points/condensers & timing just adjusted. Brand new battery just installed. The bike was fully torn down to frame during restoration. The frame and all black metal parts were sandblasted down to bare metal and powder coated with modern coating. Engine covers powder coated with silver powder coat. Red painted parts were painted with high end automotive paint. Engine was fully rebuilt during restoration with new Wossner pistons and rings, cylinders bored and honed to match the new pistons and crankshaft rebuilt in California with new seals by one of the leading machinists who specializes in these old two-strokes. Many extra/spare parts I will include for free with the bike, along with extra paint. Restoration notes: the engine is from a 1973 S2A (identical engine to the 1972 S2), completely rebuilt as described above. Some of the fasteners (nuts, bolts, screws, etc) currently have surface rust, as these are the parts that deteriorate rapidly and I did not replace most of them during restoration. Red paint is slightly darker than stock. Asking $3300, cash only please.

This relisted auction is for my 2 owner Kawasaki h2 750, build date 5/72, H2F19xxx-H2E 19xxx , On 2D rims it is apx 1rst or 2nd day May machine.Bike has 11,569 miles. I rode apx 5800 miles of this when I tagged it up in 87, and then in 89 it was disassembled along with all my other bikes for shipment to our new home. Reassembled in 2013 during a brief window of good health , with apx 30 mins runtime and about 1 mile. In Sept 2015 restarted again with apx same runtime, it really hasn't even warmed out the long dormant splooge from the pipes yet.. Cosmolined crank, still on STANDARD bore, gaskets, specking out the trans, detailed ring grooves etc, new chain, battery, O-ring on output, assembled with love by a 43 yr triple rider. I toyed with the idea of a tight, new rebore, but decided against it-They are only std once right? Bike should be re torqued and rechecked with the intent to ride and should provide many hrs of pride and enjoyment to new owner as long as he respects that this is 2015, not 1972,lol. . New Dunlops-Rear 1 mile, frt has apx 50[i borrowed it for my original H2 waiting on a replacement] A nice once over with some new hardware [7's,4's, handlebar bolts etc] would really be a reward for this machine, just not a priority here for me.Frt rim is original, the orig rear included, but does need refurbishing. Check item description for more details and extra items included Extra pcs for the new owner include new seat foam, cover, chain oiler, and the orig rr rim[2-D which needs some refurbishing-currently on my spare, frt rim is orig. Bike starts easily and paint is Original showing some thinning, scratches, etc consistent with it's age, but still looks very nice overall and represents a survivor type machine well.. . I have described this item to the best of my ability, and at 43 yrs old no warranty is implied or given, after all it is an H2,lol. . I will answer questions best I can but please allow time to reply that depends on current health. I will work with a shipper if you need, but all shipping is your responsibility to do, and please it must be coordinated within my Drs scheduling. This machine has a clear title in my name all the way back to when I tagged it up. I will also give owner a bill of sale and a odometer statement, notarized with the purchase. All bidders are welcome, but if you are relatively new to ebay just drop a line and express your seriousness, or I could change my mind. A deposit of 500.00 nonrefundable, should be received by paypal by close of 2nd business[TUES] day after auction, and the balance by certified bank check,

Over several years I have had the pleasure to own, restore and be a avid collector of all things 1973 Kawasaki Z1. To date I have had at least 10 (ten) 1973 models that have passed through my garage doors and 4 remain. Two original bikes and two in the early state of restoration, both of which were decent running largely original bikes prior to dismantling. In addition, I have compiled a large assortment of NOS, and quality used parts for the 1973 model. A large number of these parts from the dismantled bikes as well as extras have been re-chromed, re-zinc plated, and or powder-coated in preparation of my use in the restoration process. There are of course some (very little) new and aftermarket parts as well but on whole I would say 99% are OEM Kawasaki. There is essentially with the exception of a rear wheel, and exhausts nearly every part necessary to complete both restorations. In addition, there are probably enough desirable extra parts to offset much of the cost of the parts one would need to acquire. See link below to see hi-res photos of the bikes and inventory of parts http://s83.photobucket.com/user/arcaneman/library/2Z1Parts? This auction is for two (2) 1973 Kawasaki Z1's Vin: Z1F-14002, Z1E-14219 31K miles and Z1F-7338, Z1E-7518 15K miles? with matching engine numbers, and with clear open titles. In addition, this sale includes all the shown parts, to complete the bikes restorations if desired or for whatever intent you as the buyer desire. This is a BUY IT NOW sale. No offers will be excepted for individual parts or either bike alone. Winner takes ALL or NONE. I have included multiple views of all parts I only posted 24 of nearly 100 photos. We are thrilled to offer such a unique and rare piece of motorcycle history. If you’ve got a Triumph-sized hole in your collection and want something pretty wild and very cool, this might fit the bill. The Triumph Hurricane X75 was a bit of a mongrel from the word go. Originally a BSA design, with very sleepy, Triumph Bonneville-esque style, the honchos felt it was way too conservative for American tastes. Famous designer Craig Vetter was tasked with a stylistic redo, and the resulting bike was different, to say the least, with a very 60’s chopper style and a distinctive triple exhaust slung along the right side of the bike. When BSA went under, 1,200 engines were put aside and the bike was rebranded as a Triumph.Three cylinder motorcycles in general are pretty neat sounding machines. Not quite as brutal as a thumping twin or single, not as smooth or refined as a four [or six!], triples make a very raw, iron-fist-in-a-velvet-glove kind of roar. Vetter was commissioned by BSA's US distributor to customise the BSA Rocket 3 to appeal more to American tastes. When, in 1968, the new BSA Rocket 3/Triumph Trident triples were shown to the American BSA-Triumph management, they were underwhelmed. They knew Honda had an important bike (the CB750) coming along, and they felt the triple's price of $1800 [4] was too high and that technical details (like vertically-split crankcases and pushrod ohv valve train) were far from "cutting edge". However, they acknowledged that the bike was fast, and a sales team led by BSA Vice-President Don Brown decided to launch the bike by using a Rocket-3 to set some records at Daytona, records which were broken in 1971 by the Kawasaki Z1. Brown felt that the BSA/Triumph triples needed a different look to succeed in the USA, and he engaged designer Craig Vetter to give the BSA A75 a customised face-lift, with a brief to make it "sleeker and more balanced". (Brown revealed the Vetter project to Peter Thornton, President of BSA/Triumph North America, but as Brown's initiative had not been authorised by BSA, Vetter had problems being paid, waiting two years for his fee). Vetter created the Triumph Hurricane in the summer of 1969,[5] and in October 1969 he unveiled the prototype with "BSA" on the tank as the new ‘Rocket Three’.[6] Thornton and the American officials were impressed, and Vetter's bike was then sent to the UK, but the bike arrived in England just as the BSA marque was about to be ended. At BSA-Triumph's design facility at Umberslade Hall, the design was seen as too "trendy" by chief designer Bert Hopwood; but after very positive public reaction to the design when it appeared on the front of US magazine Cycle World in October 1970, the UK managers changed their minds. They realised they had a large stock of obsolete BSA Rocket-3 parts that could now be turned into a premium-priced motorcycle. Engineer Steve Mettam was given the job of supervising production for the 1972/3 season; and the Vetter BSA Rocket3 became the Triumph X75 Hurricane. 1,183 engines were put aside for X75 production. However, BSA was facing bankruptcy and the design went into a limited production run of 1200 as the Triumph X-75 Hurricane in 1972. Production stopped in 1973 after the X-75 was unable to meet new American noise standards. Here are the specs: 1973 Triumph Hurricane X75Years produced: 1973 Number produced: 1,172Claimed power: 58hp @ 7,250rpmTop speed: 114mph (period test)Engine type: 741cc air-cooled, OHV inline tripleWeight (dry): 458lbMPG: 40-45Price then: $2,295 Thank you for looking, please feel free to ask any questions. If you would like any additional photos don't hesitate to ask. We look forward to placing this rare Hurricane X75 in your collection.
