1972 Yamaha DS7 250CC 2-stroke motorcycle for sale. This is a very close to complete bike that was running this past Saturday (can provide video) and is an excellent starting point for a resto. The bike is dirty but it is a great piece. Much of the chrome will clean up real easy. The bike has good compression and low mileage at 7418. This is a numbers matching 1-year bike. This was the predecessor to the RD250 but is piston port and was considered much closer to the race bikes of the period than the RD. This is a great example that will make a relatively easy restoration project. Again, overall this is an amazing starting place. The original paint on the frame appears decent shape and again just needs a wash to see what lies underneath.. I think the pipes and most of the chrome will only need a clean and polish. Tank has some dents but overall good shape. It is not a rust bucket like many of them. Cables all appear to be original and controls are in excellent shape. Many projects have loads of missing parts or damaged pieces. This is not the case here, you will not need much to get this restored. This appears to have been an Alberta bike for some time (although I am unsure of the actual history) so there are not the rust problems you see with bikes from the east and closer to the coast. The items of note that are missing are relatively minor but include the battery, tail light lenses, side stand spring and tank badges. The front fork legs have some rust which may or may not be repairable. I expect the carb boots will need to be replaced as well. The bike comes with the original seat that has a rusty pan and the foam is no good. It also comes with a RD200 seat in very good shape. Also comes with a manual in binder. VIN is DS7-121130 The bike comes with a bill of sale and I will not crate or ship to you. I am happy to help load into your truck or shipping vehicle. I will try and provide reasonable assistance if you are planning on shipping the bike. See pictures for condition and feel free to ask questions. Happy to provide phone number if want to chat. Deposit of $300 due within 24 hours and balance due within a week. Paypal or cash only.

1972 Yamaha CS5 & 1975 Yamaha RD200 A Lovely Pair of Two-Strokes for Different Folks We are selling, as a pair, a 1972 Yamaha CS5 and a 1975 Yamaha RD200. What better than two classic Yamahas to explore the world around you? These are two very fine examples, different in their own rights, but ready to ride and make memories with. This would be an ideal "his and hers" setup. CS5 We are selling a 1972 Yamaha CS5E 200 Street. AKA, the RD200 predecessor. The "E" stands for electric start. This bike has 895 original miles, and it has been preserved or restored where necessary to excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It got 2nd place in the April 2014 OC Vintage bike show in Huntington Beach, CA. Everything on it works, and it runs and rides great. It is a blast to ride...light, quick, and great handling. The bike starts easily with either the electric or kick start, and shifts through the 5 gears smoothly. The brakes are excellent..the front being the same size twin-leading show as on the contemporary R5 350. The auto lube system has new lines and is properly adjusted and works as it should. Some of the highlight of the work that has been done since 2013: Engine top end, carbs, electrical system and forks rebuilt and engine tuned by Mach 1 Cycles of Costa Mesa. Machine work was by Q&E machine, Santa Ana. Paint on tins by California Cycle Design in Costa Mesa. Chrome by Orange County Plating. The paint is base/clear coat, polished to perfection. The bike has many NOS parts, and a few select repro parts. NOS parts: Tank badges, pistons, rings, pins, fork seals, fork nuts, tach cable, brake cable, speedo cable, brake and clutch levers, footpeg, shift, and kick rubbers, and the stop switch. Repro parts include air cleaner boots, seat cover, blinkers, mirrors, and the rear shocks. Most people will look at the bike and think its like brand new and perfect, but it's not. While most of the chrome has been redone, the pipes and rear fender have not, and they have some light pitting. Those familiar with these vintage bikes will understand that it is 43 years old, and there are minor idiosyncrasies with its operation. Sometimes the engine stalls when shifting from neutral to 1st when it's cold, and sometimes neutral is difficult to select when hot. There is a small oil leak on the left side from either the clutch pushrod, or the shifter seals. The generator light comes on at idle, but goes away as soon as revs reach above idle. Charging system works perfectly. Rims are original and in great shape. The bike comes with the original rider's manual, factory service manual, and parts listing. Also included is a copy of the 1972 Cycle World road test article and original magazine advertisement for the bike. Clean title. You will not be disappointed with this beauty. RD200 This is an original-condition motorcycle with 1133 original miles. Tires replaced in 2014. Well-preserved for years in a garage, this motorcycle was just recently brought back to life by us at Blue Moon Cycle. After replacing the airbox boots and performing an ignition tune up and a carb adjustment, this little RD started right up. You will not find a motorcycle that's easier to start; it simply wants to GO. Take it home, ride it, show it off. These motorcycles are available for both viewing and pickup at our showroom in Norcross, GA. We also ship and crate within the U.S. as well as internationally. For more information, please call John @ 770.447.6945 ext.20. Thanks for looking!

NO TITLE. This Yamaha starts runs and shifts like new. It has the usual patina for a good condition bike for this year. I believe it to be original except for the fuel lines and battery . The tires have dry rot but hold air. The rims have some rust spots. Some rust can be seen on the inside of the tank but has not been sealed and looks good. All the electrics work as they should and the wiring has not been altered or cut up. Electric start works. Auto lube works. Gauges are in very good condition with clear lenses. The tool kit is there. No Title. Shipping is the buyers responsibility.

1972 Yamaha R5 350C (NOT R5b!) "The Giant Killer" For Sale Up for grabs is a sweet Yamaha R5C in surprisingly good condition for its 42 years. This is the first incarnation of the legendary RD series Yamaha 2 strokes, small displacement bikes affectionately known as The Giant Killers for their ability to beat larger displacement 4 stroke motorcycles in straight line performance, as well as dominate them on curvy roads because of their light weight and agile handling. After a fresh set of plugs and a thorough carb cleaning she fired right up. This beauty now needs a new home and is available in Atlanta, Georgia for $3200. The high stock bars have been replaced with lower, black K & N superbike bars, new levers and new grips. Also added are new, black bar end mirrors and brand new Dunlop tires. The electrical system has been completely restored so all signals, lights, horn and indicator lights work perfectly. Also fitted are new jets to go with the new free flow air filters.
