1973 Honda Elsinore MR 50, I have a 1973 Honda MR 50 for sale. I bought this bike to restore but never finished the project. It runs good and has the following. New Parts: tires, grips, all plastics, levers, all cables, hardware kit, chain and sprockets, electronic ignition all from ReMx. Also includes a very cool and rare DG replica Pipe. I have a box of spare parts to go through so there is some extra stuff including service manual from honda. The bike really just needs to be cleaned good, the tank painted and new stickers applied to be finished. Solid machine for resto project or to ride. Hello, Up for sale is a 1973 Honda Z50 K4...One owner bike. The bike is 100% original down to the original factory ties on the handlebars and has the original Nitto tires that have a great amount of tread left and very low signs of any cracking. The original Nitto tires are proof of the extreme low hours on this machine. There is even a piece of the original styrafoam used when packing these bikes in the crate (pictured)! The provenance of this bike was it was purchased on Christmas of 1972 by Mr. Thompson of Sanger, CA for his grandkids to ride on in his backyard. The story is they road it a couple times they were over at Grandma and Grandpas house and soon developed other interests and the bike was drained of gas and it sat covered in his shed until now (2014)...The bike has zero timing chain noise, and has a nice whine to it---just like they did off the assembly line--- it runs perfect, as if it were new.The compression is outstanding for a bike of such small displacement.... It truly puts a smile on your face. The bike does have a fair share of small knicks and scratches and some minor surface rust on the wheels. I must stress nothing has been restored on the bike and this is what happens with 41 years of age. But zero dents are present on the bike anywhere. Please see the photos.
