This bike is bad ass, it turns heads and gets complements everywhere because it is one of a kind, it was built to be a California lane splitter. The 1000(bored to 1100) Ironhead motor sits in a 2003 Harley sportster hardtail frame, and a springer front end. It was also one of the last years they made right side shift. Electric key start, kick start was removed for the custom ceramic pipes. It has a fresh paint job, I just rebuilt the custom carb and changed out the fuel lines. It runs fast and loud with the custom Ceramic pipes. Custom made old school saddle seat (super comfortable) custom fuel bottle holder mounted behind your left leg. Power band is still not perfect as I think the carb needs a good cleanout or rebuild.Clutch drags a little -- when in 1st gear it wants to creep forward when you have the clutch pulled in. Most old Harleys do this with stock type clutches and I would suggest adjusting the clutch to help reduce this.Shifts through all gears.New NAPA Premium AGM battery just installed. This is a very cool custom vintage Iron Head Harley Davidson Bobber. Bike can be kick started or has push button ignition. Ape hangers with black Avon grips. Avon white walled tires go great with the custom black and red paint scheme and have minimal wear. Powder coated red rims are a great accent. Bike has many new and original old school components. That's what makes this bike so cool. It will turn heads everywhere you go, even if you're next to $60,000 choppers, this bike will get all the attention. People love the look and the fact that it still has some old school charm. This bike is a blast to ride, great local bike night rider. Hand stitched leather seat sits on a rigid frame. Many custom brass accents throughout. Bike is not perfect, it is 40+ years old. Expect some cool vintage wear and character. The original left hand brake/ right hand shift has been modified to a standard right hand brake and left hand shift. 1972 HARLEY DAVIDSON IRONHEAD SPORTSTER For your consideration. I have built this Harley from nothing, to what you see in the pictures. Comes with a clear title.The title states a 1972 Harley, However the motor is a 1973 that has been gone through with TLC! New gaskets, bolts, washers the works. The generator has new brushes as well. The voltage regulator is new as well as the battery. New plug wires and plugs. There are many new parts all around. Any old part that I felt to be unsafe or not working correctly was replaced with a new one. The rigid rear end is from the awesome guys at Hammer In Hand Customs built by the owner Ivan. I spoke directly with him about this build and it is designed specifically for this bike. The rigid frame extends overall length five and a half inches longer than stock which means the chain is brand new as well . The tires are in good shape with a lot of tread left and minor weather checking. As you see in the pictures I have added 2 mini LED brake lights under the fender for added safety. Although the 32 coupe light works and looks great I wanted more for the folks behind me! The added chrome "toppers" on the fork tubes as well as the triple tree bolt decoration are just that...just for show. All of the aluminium has been hand polished by my self in shop. The tank is a 2.5 gallon Frisco mount. It does have some run marks from gas on the top of the tank from a bad gasket that used to be in the cap which also has been replaced. The frame does have some scratches from normal use but the overall paint job is pretty good as you can see in the pictures. The oil tank was ordered from a custom shop and features the inward domed ends. All paint was done by me in shop. The motor is the 1000. The bike has been minimally ridden since the build that was completed in May 2014. It does have a small oil leak due to a bad seal on the gear shift rod. Cheap easy fix. It rides nice and turns A LOT OF HEADS!!!! Be prepared to talk to a lot of strangers when riding cause this bike demands a lot of attention. It has a brand new S&S Shorty "E" carb with a few extra jets I'll throw in as well. I have a basket full of parts and a couple sets of bars and misc that will come with it too. THIS BIKE IS RIGHT SIDE SHIFT! I do have the manuals for the motorcycle as well as the carburetor. Comes as is where is. Runs great starts fine turn key and enjoy!! Buyer is to arrange all shipping.
