1973 Honda CB175, Before we ramble on about how cool and perfect this forty-one year old classic little Honda is we???ll tell you what happened when it first arrived. Just about the entire staff at Bob???s was sure that Bob was going to hold onto it for himself. While his collection, now well past 75 machines that he shares through the Vintage Museum at Bob???s, is for the most part BMW focused there have been a few very interesting exceptions. The 1913 Indian single in his office is just one. He mulled it over for almost a week but then selected to take these photos and the rest is here for you to read and mull over yourself. We might be surprised one morning when he arrives and he says ???I???ve changed my mind??? so if you???re interested don???t twiddle your thumbs too long. An opportunity like this does not come around very often.From what we can tell and have learned this gem has had just two prior owners. The first who never rode it until shortly before offering it up for sale and supposedly logged about 200 miles and number two whom we took it in trade from and rode it the 32.9 miles (+-) from the sellers home to his own. It was then parked, pickled and proudly displayed for about three and a half years. He never rode it again. The battery in it still takes a change and is not the original battery and there is currently fresh fuel with fuel stabilizer in the tank and we???ve started it. We can pickle it for the next owner for a small fee if their intent is to hold, show and enjoy instead of adding miles even though we are sure they would be very enjoyable miles.The tires are recent additions as neither owner felt the originals should be used any longer. They were dealer installed before the last purchase was completed so those 32.9 (+-) miles were on the fresh rubber from about 3.5 years ago. We have the original tires and tubes so if you???re a collector like Bob who wants as much originality as possible they are included with the purchase to the right new home.

Vintage 1973 Honda XL175. This bike is my daily rider and is titled, registered and driven by me. Milage is climbing. No off road riding by me. It starts with kick start easily and shifts and rides like its supposed to. Tank and fenders recently professionally painted. Inside of tank is clean. Seat has been reupholstered by a professional. New battery. Tires are new this season and have less than 200 miles on them. Gauges and horn works as they should. Headlight, taillight, and signals all work. This bike was N.Y. state inspected in april and is ready to ride. A nice little bike that gets compliments everywhere I go. Look at all pictures carefully. This started out as a 1973 Yamaha ct175. There is a ton of modifications. The biggest one being the rm125 liquid cooled motor. Everything but the gas tank and rear rim has been changed.. The bike runs and rides. Has some good parts on it like the tank and progressive rear shock off a vintage rm125. I think just the gas tank is worth some money. Parts have to be made for this bike not bought. Buy to keep on modifying it, for parts or just to have a cool toy.

1973 Yamaha ct3 175cc endure mechanically restored .new top end and main bearings, gaskets ,fork seals, brakes, air cleaner ,seat cover, foot peg covers, battery ordered will be in bike before sold, pet cock gaskets, rubber grommets, all oils changed , nice chrome . Tank is rust free some dings and scratches average for 42 year old bike. tires have some dry rot but holds air fine if your going to ride it more than just around the side streets I would recommend changing them . (I didn't put new ones on because every one likes different type of tires) if you like me to but new tires on that can be arranged. Runs, drives, shifts great. ( NO TITLE NO TITLE BILL OF SALE ONLY ) Not resposible for shipping buyer to arrange shipping. I used RPM Unlimited LLC Transport great rates great service. A brief word about the Pantera Ford Motor Company under the direction of Henry Ford II(Grandson of Henry Ford) , and the ever capable Carrol Shelby, won the 24 hours of Lemans four years in a row from 1966 to 1969 with their GT40 Supercar. After winning four years in a row , and handing Ferrari it's ass on a platter, Henry Ford II made overt motions to Enzo Ferrari to purchase Ferrari and bring it under the wing of Ford. Enzo was very incensed, and told Ford II that the company was not for sale at any price. So.... Henry Ford II, went looking to purchase an Italian coachbuilder, which he found in Detomaso S.P.A. in Modena, Italy. He also acquired the Ghia studios, and the Pantera was born. The bullet proof 351 Cleveland V8 engine from the Mustang was chosen, and the German ZF five speed transaxle from Ford's GT40 race car was employed to stir the gears. The Pantera was sold through Ford dealerships in the US beginning in 1971. The initial MSRP was slightly over $10,000, though most dealers were selling them for around $14,500. This was about $6,000 less than a Ferrari at the time (in 1971 a new Daytona was about $20k), and the Pantera was noticeably faster. Stock zero to sixty time in 1971 was 5.5 seconds, top speed 175 mph (Road and Track 8/71). Less than 2300 Panteras were sold during their US importation of model years 1971 through 1974. After Ralph Nader lobbied congress regarding bumper laws, importation , and modification for the US market would prove to be too impractical for the US market. Detomaso continued to sell the Pantera to other markets in the world until 1996 on a custom order basis. This is truly an exotic and scarce automobile. This car was secured in 2000 and has had its original 351 Cleveland placed in temporary storage while a bored and stroked Big Block Ford occupy the engine bay. This 533 c.i. engine has more than enough torque to make this car an absolute thrill to drive. This along with several other subtle upgrades keeps the Pantera’s claim of being one of the ‘most modified production cars’ ever made.
