Built nearly from scratch using the best parts and minds available - to build this master piece. Many of the parts on this bike were custom made from the finest materials. Every part of this bike was meticulously selected, manufactured, restored, reengineered to the highest level of quality fit and finish, and by the best in the business. The time and energy that went into this bike is immeasurable. Every part on the bike is ether chromed, powder coated or polished. When you look at this bike you can clearly see the painstaking level of detail and quality. You would be hard pressed to find another Kawasaki Z1 anywhere that comes close to this bike. If you were to add up the cost; the bike to start with, fabricating and custom made parts, chrome galore, powder coating, special ordered parts, custom paint the engine build the massive amount of labor in creating, designing, and building the bike, there is easily over $50,000 invested! The bike is flawless, runs perfectly and has almost no miles on it. Here is a rundown:The frame is a 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000. The neck was raked, reinforced and the frame powder coated. Swing arm is a one off custom made from steel and powder coated. Wheels are custom made for the bike by HDW at a cost of $3000. Brake rotor center carries are custom made billet aluminum from CNC machining and chromed. Brake system is all Performance Machine. Triple tree is billet and chromed special order from Japan through Z1 Enterprise at $1000. Front fender was narrowed to fit the small race tire. The front tire is a racing slick custom grooved for street use Tank is new OEM Rear tail is custom modified racing tail piece from Z1 Enterprise. All electrical harnesses and components are custom done to the highest level of fit, finish and quality. The seat pan is an original Z1 seat narrowed, shortened and modified to accommodate the bike along with the nitrous solenoids. Motor is a mix of the best parts. The cases are of a later KZ1000 year because of the extra web in the case that gives more strength. Head is from a Z1. The trans KZ1000. The engine was built by MRE (Murdoch Racing Enterprises) in Florida under the direction of the owner Jay Regan. No expense spared approximately $10,000 was spent at MRE. The components and work done were simply the best and are as follows; Engine is 1200cc Cylinder head is milled to 11 to 1, ported with oversize stainless steel valves. (Runs fine on 91 pump gas) 400 lift web cam shifts MRE street-cut transmission MRE lock up clutch Welded blue printed and balanced crankshaft by Falicon Dyna ignition 35mm CR smoothbore carbs Vanes & Hines drag racing exhaust aka Spider pipe MRE Nitrous system installed to the highest quality level MRE air shifter The engine was dynode and develops 154 H/P without Nos. The nitro system the way it’s setup will give a 35 to 40 H/P bump in power.

For your serious consideration, this is a rare, unrestored, original, survivor that has been well cared for over the past 41 years. The only two items that have been relplaced are the battery and the tires. The original seat was removed years ago in order to preserve it in its excellent condition. Both seats will be passed on to the next collector. One of the many unique aspects to this Z1 are the original, stamped 1973 exhaust pipes. I can't recall seeing another Z1 with the original exhaust on E-Bay or elsewhere in years. Most riders replaced their pipes with a Kerker back in the 1970s. This Z1 also has the original chain oiler which is still connected and in operating condition. All date codes, including the swing arm, wheels, and switch blocks have been verified and are correct. I would like to stress that this is not your normal restored example of the Z1 that you normally see here on E-Bay. Most of them were basket cases that were rebuilt using reproduction parts. You can rebuild these bikes many times, however they are only original once! As with any 41 year old motorcycle there are a few minor, cosmetic signs of wear on this Z1 that you would expect to see, however this is normal for the age and original nature of this bike. I had the carbs rebuilt last year. The bike starts right up, does not smoke, shifts through the gears and runs flawlessly! The oil was changed this year using Mobil-1 synthetic. I only use 93 octane, ethnal-free gas in all of my bikes. Serious bidders only please! If you don't have the funds, need to check with your wife, or are not a serious buyer, then please don't waste your time or mine. Thank you for your interest! This is a rare opportunity for one serious collector to add a unique piece of history to their collection that will surely appreciate over time. The 1973 model was the first year for the Z1. It was nicknamed the "New York Steak Project" by the Japanese and was designed to dominate over the Honda 750. There is a video from the fall of 1972 on U-Tube showing a test of three Z1 bikes at Daytona. The factory bikes were clocked by radar in that video at 160 MPH! Shipping is the sole responsibility and expense of the buyer, however I will assist your shipper with loading the bike on this end. I have had success with U-Ship in the past and have found them to be reasonable with their prices.

Over several years I have had the pleasure to own, restore and be a avid collector of all things 1973 Kawasaki Z1. To date I have had at least 10 (ten) 1973 models that have passed through my garage doors and 4 remain. Two original bikes and two in the early state of restoration, both of which were decent running largely original bikes prior to dismantling. In addition, I have compiled a large assortment of NOS, and quality used parts for the 1973 model. A large number of these parts from the dismantled bikes as well as extras have been re-chromed, re-zinc plated, and or powder-coated in preparation of my use in the restoration process. There are of course some (very little) new and aftermarket parts as well but on whole I would say 99% are OEM Kawasaki. There is essentially with the exception of a rear wheel, and exhausts nearly every part necessary to complete both restorations. In addition, there are probably enough desirable extra parts to offset much of the cost of the parts one would need to acquire. See link below to see hi-res photos of the bikes and inventory of parts http://s83.photobucket.com/user/arcaneman/library/2Z1Parts? This auction is for two (2) 1973 Kawasaki Z1's Vin: Z1F-14002, Z1E-14219 31K miles and Z1F-7338, Z1E-7518 15K miles? with matching engine numbers, and with clear open titles. In addition, this sale includes all the shown parts, to complete the bikes restorations if desired or for whatever intent you as the buyer desire. This is a BUY IT NOW sale. No offers will be excepted for individual parts or either bike alone. Winner takes ALL or NONE. I have included multiple views of all parts I only posted 24 of nearly 100 photos. A few highlighted Parts Factory dual disks Original body work, 2 original Z1 tanks and one KZ900 Original gauges Original fork ears/ fenders, lights Rare “Long Guard” fender and required tail light Manuals Original handlebar switches Original hardware Many parts re-zinced. 1973 Kawasaki Z1900 With clear title and lower vin# Z1F-07355 Engine # Z1E-07560 and dual disc brakes! Prior owner purchased this bike running last year and did not like how the back wheel was placed so he took the swing arm off, was going to shorten it and as you can see did not get far with it. Prior to that it was road worthy. I have not tested the engine myself but by talking with the guy I would not doubt for a minute that the engine was definitely running. The only reason he did not finish is because he ended up buying a newer Harley. He bought a brand new 60 spoke rim with a Avon tire. There are dual disc brakes in the front with a Mag rim. Obviously there there are some of the original pieces missing and the paint is custom etc... But it is a 73 with original vin# close to each other as they should be. This bike is located in Erie, Pa. inside a its own 5x5 storage unit. Buyer must pick up or have your transporter pick it up. I can send you or your transporter the key to the storage along with the code to the gate to pick it up. I will NOT be there to meet you or the transporter, so if you need help loading you will have to bring someone. Storage is paid up and owners have been informed of the pickup arrangements etc... Everything you see in the pictures is what I have for the bike, I have no other parts that come with this bike. If you have any questions just let me know. 801-898-5865. THANKS<

Tons of torque and I've been told multiple times by friends that this was the fastest XS they've ridden.
