My buddy owned this bike since 1985 , and my other bro owned it before him since the 1970s. This is an easy project, heres what it needs: accelerator pump on the carb doesnt work (very common, they dry out. the kit costs ya about $30). Needs a battery, the one in it is not included and is the wrong size anyways. Rear brake is non working, the pads are out of it. Front do work. Front tire has some weather checking, rear looks great with near new tread. It fires up quite easily and runs excellent. Also needs a seat (had an ugly as sin king/queen on it, i tossed it out). The little seat on it now doesnt fit and is not included, only shown for asthetics. Has a sweet old school metalflake blue paint job. This bike is somewhere between rat, and just needing a really good cleanup, depending on which way you go. It has chips, dirt, but I like 'em that way ! Titled as a 1975 Harley Davidson, Has a 1974 HD sportster "ironhead" motor with VIN also appearing on title. The frame is a true rigid frame of unknown origin. It is molded, and straight. Goes down road with no hands. Frame has 34-36 degree rake. Front end is a late model HD wide glide with billet triple trees. Lower legs are set up to run dual discs. It currently has a single, late model 2002 and up caliper with 11.5" rotor, 21" front wheel w/great tread. Rear wheel is a 16", also running late model 2002 and up caliper, 11.5 rotor and matching master cylinder. Tire has equally great tread. Motor is 1974, 1000cc with about 8000mi. It started as a brand new lower end, top end, clutch, tranny. It has a Dyna 2000i electronic ignition, S&S super E carb, dyna coil, mild cams, solid lifters, and if memory serves me, I think .020"over bore. it has some nice chrome parts which also include the heads. Yes, the heads are chrome. They have ran great here in Norcal year round. Handle bars are custom made. Fashioned after a set of Biltwell window bars, these were made 11" tall and are 23" wide. This bike has been very dependable, and is really fast. front cobra seat is starting to show some cracking. rear P pad, and foot pegs. It is kick only, and of course, suicide / jockey shift 4 speed. This bike sits on the low side, looks cool as hell. It will make you look cool too, even if you aren't.. HAHA. Once you know it, it will usually start in 1-5 kicks. That will greatly depend on how much of a hurry you are in. Seriously, don't ask, but it is true. Real hurry, and it will give you some grief. No hurry, start right up. Its been switched to right side shift with forwards (last year for right side shift was 1974 but up to 1978 its an easy conversion). This is a rat bike, nothing else to say about the physical condition.Purposely left dusty, dirty, and mean. It fires up, runs out great. Front tires nice, rear will get ya through the season. Brakes all work great. Not an oil spitter, hasnt yet left a puddle in my garage after running it several times over the past 6 weeks. Ive ran this bike around town. Clutch, trans, all work fine. This bike is electric start only. It has no signals. Brake light is burnt out (just a bulb as far as I can tell). Hi-Lo beam work, brakes work, horn, etc. It has removable zip off bags in nice shape. If the bike sits for a few weeks not started , the battery gets low. Might just be because its winter and its in my garage, or you might want to replace it for peace of mind. Up for grabs is my Special79 built 74 Ironhead. This bike was built by Jason Roache of Special79 Fabrication for the Born Free 5 "People's Champ" contest.1974 XLH: The frame is an original front section and a custom rigid rear section 35mm Front end and 19" front and rear wheels Hand made aluminum oilbag, electrics box, and front fairing.  Drop Seat with custom seat pan  Custom exhaust sounds great No speedo, no odometer, no fuel gauge, no blinkers I've had this bike for a couple years and ridden around DFW and made some back road trips as well. I rode it to New Braunfels for Giddy Up a couple years ago and had a blast. It has a recent battery in it and as long as I keep it on a battery tender it starts right up every time. It's electric start and even in cold weather it only takes a little choke to get it going. Once it warms up it runs like a champ. I know Ironheads have a bad reputation for reliablilty but this one runs. The only drawback is that the clutch is pretty stiff and can be hard to get in to neutral but it's never stopped me from riding. It has a custom clutch but it wouldn't take much to get it back to stock. Make a reasonable offer but don't be disrepectful. This is a clean, running, reliable machine and I won't bother with lowball offers.
