Almost perfect, plus extras. Only 194 miles and still under warranty! Title in hand. Not many of these used 2015 ABS models come up for sale on Cycle Trader. SW-Motech Crash Bars, SW-Motech KOBRA Handguards, Moto Werk 2-inch Lowering Kit, Honda OEM Centerstand, and the official Honda Service Manual. The bike was too tall for the beginner rider while practicing in a parking lot, resulting in the SW-Motech engine guards and handguards being officially tested out. The bike was let down from a stand-still on both the left and right side. The guards did their job perfectly and were the only parts to touch the ground (see photos for the slight scratches...the let-down was so light that they weren't even dented). We had the dealer verify that no other damage besides the scratches occurred when they installed the lowering kit. The Moto Werk 2-inch lowering kit (see photos) now has the seat height at 30 inches (original stock height is 31.8). If you want to return the bike back to its stock height, the original parts are included (these are the two metal triangle links and the stock kickstand). This beautiful bike is practically new as it hasn't even reached its 500 mile break-in period. The bike has always been garaged and has never even seen any water (rain or washes). The new rider that this was intended for has decided it's just too heavy for her even after being lowered and will be getting a 150cc-300cc to learn on after selling this one.

This is a great running example of a 400 triple with only 9,282miles. It has brand new tires and has been recently serviced and tuned. In 1974 Kawasaki redesigned their 350 triple increasing displacement to 400cc and improving the head design for better cooling. The result was greatly improved reliability. This is a very quick and smooth low mileage bike. There are some minor cosmetic issues as you can see in the pictures, but the mechanics are rock solid. Up for sale is a 1974 Kawasaki KZ400 with 12500 miles. It is in stock form mechanically. I made and installed custom café racer handlebars, reusing all of the OEM handle bar controls. I replaced the headlight with a NOS Kawasaki replacement the previous owner had as an extra. This KZ400 was in storage since 1985, I cleaned the carbs, replaced the cracked air intakes, rinsed out the fuel tank (previous owner properly removed gas before storage took place), cleaned and polished all chrome pieces, verified all electrical parts work correctly, made a custom seat for the café racer style look, sale includes OEM seat which is in excellent condition, I replaced the rear taillight assembly with a 1967/68 Kawasaki Sidewinder rear tail light to add to a custom look as well. Perfect for a daily rider or weekend cruise .... this bike is not a museum piece. There are a few minor scratches and little dings here and there, but overall the bike is in excellent vintage condition. A very clean bike. It will need tires for inspection, I did not buy or install any because I didn't want to limit the new owners preference of make or style. Additional pictures on request and please ask me questions before you click buy. I will hold you accountable once to commit to buy it. Available for a personal inspection before you buy, contact me to set up a time. I will help coordinate shipping to the lower 48 states USA only .... all shipping charges will be paid by buyer, I recommend uShip. The payment must clear before I allow shipping to occur, or let a local pick occur. For sale locally as well. This bike will be sold as is .... not warrantee. Remember, this bike is a 1974 not 2015. This bike runs very well, has lots of spunk and is a blast to ride around town. But do understand, it may need minor repairs once its been ridden for awhile, it was stored since 1985, all in all its a great vintage ride and currently works well.

This is a comfortable low mileage bike that runs smooth and shifts fine and stops well. This bike had a mint set of gauges that say 700 Seven Hundred!! No shit. we still have them. The previous owner swore the odometer on the title we handed to the secretary of state. Smooth engine, no smoke, no noise. The front tire is an original, and the front brake rotor shows no wear. It is lowered, and has a hog wheel on it, which shows some rust, unlike the rest of this clean bike. It had a 4x4 cross chopper pipe set in mint condition, but was so low the bike would not turn, and there was not a mark on them, I sold them and put this nice 4 into 1 on it. The seat is an original pan, cut to fit the 78 supersport gas tank. It has a new petcock installed as well. I took the carbs off to clean them and after setting since 1992 they needed nothing. I am the 3rd owner, the second owner bought it in 1991, from his friend who bought it new, and sold it with 650 miles on the odometer. The tank, breather, and bodywork were lost in a fire while off the bike in a separate building. It was never ridden by the 2nd owner. It has a new battery, and all lights work. It has an H1 Kawasaki tail light, because I like it. We still have the 700 mile gauges, but they are on the 74 we restored. The cut seat, lowering kit, and CB500 shocks set this bike low enough that with a 28 inseam I am well comfortable on this bike. It has an Emgo bullet fairing. There is a whole set of finned aftermarket covers on the engine including 4 very rare vintage valve adjuster finned covers. There is no chain damage on the engine, we check them all. Mileage is unknown, but was honestly sworn at 698 miles by Previous owners. We make NO such claim, unknown miles per seller. It has had some leaks at the Alternator cover they are fixed. I have ridden this bike 4 or 5 miles and in that time frame no odd noises no jumping in and out of gear.Picture of the bike in burgundy is the we got it. not a scratch in the exhaust that would rub on every corner. AS IS ASK ALL QUESTIONS FIRST Deposit of $400 due immediately at auction end total to be paid in CASH. If you want to use paypal you will pay the fees not me. The bike can stay in a dry indoor storage for 60 days any longer and you will have to make arrangements first.

1975 MAICO GS400– ALL ORIGINAL SURVIVOR! 134 ORIGINAL MILES, FRAME # 341016, ENGINE # K407112, TWO OWNERS FROM NEW, TITLE INCLUDED, RUNS AND RIDES 96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Maicowerk A.G. was a West German motorcycle manufacturer. Founded in 1926 by Ulrich Maistch as Maistch & Co, the company originally manufactured 98 and 123 cc Ilo two stroke engines. After Worls War II, they began producing their own unit construction two-stroke engines, selling complete motorcycles. Maico made a brief foray into the automobile business with their own line of microcars in the late 1950s. Maico have also made go kart engines. The road motorcycles were named after winds... 'Blizzard', 'Typhoon' etc., but the company was better known for its purpose-built Motocross and Enduro machines, and for its 'Maicoletta' motor scooter, both of which sold in higher numbers than the road motorcycles. Maico Racing Motorcycles: Maico motocross (MC) and enduro (GS) racing models proved very successful in both European and American competition throughout the 1970s. While lacking the financial capital and big money race-team backing like that of the Japanese factories of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, Maico riders such as Adolf Weil, Ake Jonsson, and Willy Bauer proved to be a serious challenge to the Japanese factories and produced numerous top three finishes in the Motocross World Championships. The firm also experienced some success in Grand Prix road racing competitions with rider Borje Jansson winning three 125cc Grand Prix races between1972 and 1973. American publication Motocross Action called the 1981 Maico Mega 2 - 490cc the greatest open-class motocross bike of all time. The 1974.5 400cc and 440cc GP, 1978/79 250cc Magnum and 1981 490cc models along with any year 501cc motocross bike are also some of the most sought-after vintage MX and twin-shock motorcycles to this day. One of the visual modernizations of the Maico off-road motorcycles was the move from a "coffin" style tank in 1974 to a "teardrop" style tank in 1978/79 on bikes like the 250 Magnum. The bikes later moved to plastic tanks in 1980 with the Mega 490. One of the largest contributions to the world of motocross suspension technology came in the 1974 season when the Wheelsmith Motorcycles team in the USA and the Gunther Schier teams in Europe forward-mounted the rear shocks on the Maico factory-backed motorcycles, immediately increasing the travel and ability to trump the competition. This initiated a frantic effort on the part of factory teams and privateers alike; chopping up their frames in a desperate attempt to remain competitive. Maicowerk AG filed for bankruptcy in 1983, but continued to produce small numbers of motocross and enduro models (re-badged as M-Stars in the United States due to legal issues) up through 1986. Subsequent manufacturers have purchased the brand name and applied it to their own limited production motorcycles. Modern open-class dirt-bikes are still being produced under the Maico brandname. The ATK Intimidator dirt-bike (reportedly the most powerful production 2 stroke motorcycle available aside from Maico's own motorcycles) features a Maico motor. After the company went out of business in 1986, its assets were taken over by a Dutch company, but to this day retains a strong cult following. Many riders restore vintage Maicos for display or to take back to the track.
