YOU ARE BIDDING ON A CUSTOM THAT WAS ORIGINALLY ASSEMBLED BACK IN THE LATE 70'S. (LOTS OF PETINA HERE..) I'VE TRIED NOT TO DISTURB MUCH BUT AT THE SAME TIME MAKE IT SAFE FOR THE ROAD.. FOR STARTERS, IT HAS A CLEAR TITLE WITH A NY STATE VIN TAG ( PICTURED). I'M ALMOST POSITIVE THE ENGINE IS A 1969, THE FRAME A 1974. MOST RECENT WORK DONE (WITHIN THE PAST YEAR) HAS BEEN CLEAN AND REBUILD CARBURETOR, CLEAN AND REBUILD MAGNETO INCLUDING NEW BATTERY,CAP AND MOST INTERNALS, NEW TIRES & TUBES AND FRESH FLUIDS..THIS BIKE RUNS WELL BUT WILL STILL NEED A FEW THINGS. IT HAS A TIN OUTER PRIMARY THAT LEAKS (SHOCKER), NEW GASKET SHOULD HELP. BRAKES ARE GOOD BUT NEED SOME ADJUSTMENT. THIS BIKE IS A PRETTY COOL LOOKING PIECE FROM THE 70'S, IT EVEN HAS A CHROME FRAME, FRONT AND REAR FENDERS TOO.. SO WITH A LITTLE TLC AND A FEW HOURS SOMEONE COULD MAKE IT A VERY SPECIAL RIDE... FEEL FREE TO CALL OR EMAIL VINCE WITH ANY QUESTIONS AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER THEM. 914-592-2200. THE BIKE IS LOCATED IN ELMSFORD, NEW YORK. I CAN ALSO ASSIST WITH SHIPPING IF NEEDED. GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR LOOKING..

I acquired this machine a few months ago, and brought it back to stock form, from race trim, using the parts that came with it.( The pictures showing the stock parts as found are the ones used on this machine, there is not a extra set). The original owner bought this machine new in New York, and campaigned it successfully at Englishtown drag strip and at Atco drag strip, racking up at least 6 documented class wins in Pro Stock. It was then parked in 1974. The original new York inspection sticker is still on the fork tube, The Kendall and S-K tools stickers were due to them being track sponsors in that period. All the spares were wrapped in SOCKS. I started it 2 days after it was recovered, and it is running on the original points and plugs, which was accomplished with only a carb clean and fluid change, and it is still running and you can drive it home on the original plugs and points. ( I will also supply a new set of points, condenser, etc.). The spares that will be included, (pictures are within the link I will provide ) which include the original owners track side tool box , NOS spokes, ( ONE SET ) factory shock tool, some hand made tools of his, NOS cam cover or primary screws, and too many other numerous spares to list. Some of these are NOS spark plugs, (around 5 or 6) 3 NOS countershaft sprockets, , NOS carb rebuild kit, all of the race parts I removed, the original front tire, the drag slick, the machined aluminum struts, drag pipes, the owners running notes and notebook, the service manual, the spare parts book, and the 1973 supplement. I will also include as much of I can from my stock of engine gaskets. All the indicator lights are functional. I replaced a couple of the lenses with NOS ones. It is charging properly, shifts and clutches properly as well, and does not smoke. I removed the spark plugs to inspect the cylinders, and with the pistons TDC, it shows new pistons with no visible carbon. ( See the owners notes about Dytch piston fitment). I can not guarantee these are Dytch pistons, as I did not disassemble any part of the motor, but what I see leads me to believe they are. I also suspect cams, a racing clutch, and stroker flywheels ( again see the notations the original owner noted in the bore and stroke specifications photo, where he noted a different bore and stroke next to the factory specs. The original key switch was inop, ( Still has factory paper isolator intact on the back side of it. ) so I bought a original switch that works, but it drops the keys, so for now it is running on a accessory after market switch.( No wires were cut, and the original dis- assembled switch and the replacement original I bought are also included ). The paper disc isolator is still intact behind the rear brake light switch, as well as the yellow dot on the carb ( factory marked). I installed a new air filter, 2 tires and tubes, and a new headlight bulb, and new battery. I chose to leave the patina as best I could , while waxing as much of it as well, to preserve it as is. There is a 2 inch nick in the very back of the seat (shown in pics), not through to the foam, It is my opinion, this machine would score the high 90's if judged, and will win your local show hands down. The title was transferred Monday last week, and a copy kept of the original. I have written a log of all I have done as well, as well as extra photographs of it in progress. If you are interested in purchasing, please feel free to contact me. The NADA blue book is 8750.00, and with all the documented history, NOS spares, and the race parts included, we feel it exceeds that. The video of it running has some lag in the sound due to being too close with the camera microphone. It does rev quite nicely. The head gaskets show a little seepage, but all it may need is torqued down, I was focused on making it start. I will add a complete top end gasket set to be sure if it needs it you have . I will consider doing that myself if some arrangement is made, contact me for details. ( In reality, though, re-gasketing a top end is a no-brainer) It is, in essence, a time capsule. I am not accepting any trades. Please contact me with your email for a video of it running the first 2 days it was recovered . Thank you for looking, I hope you enjoy. here is the link to additional photographs- http://s1381.photobucket.com/user/Bruce_Kiper/library/ Here is a video I described, I failed to post the first time. This was 2 days after I purchased this year. https://youtu.be/XXrKHOFJAAo I will assist in International shipping as well.

NOTE: BUYER responsible for pickup arrangements. I suggest 1-800-haul-bikes. I cannot and WILL not contact them for a quote, thats up to you.Bike cannot be ridden home in its current state, please read description for more information on that. It is located in Chisholm, Mn, zip code 55719. Feel free to send me your phone number and Ill call you if you want more details on the bike. 1974 Ironhead, in the same condition its been in since the 1970s. My buddy owned this bike since 1985 , and my other bro owned it before him since the 1970s. This is an easy project, heres what it needs: accelerator pump on the carb doesnt work (very common, they dry out. the kit costs ya about $30). Needs a battery, the one in it is not included and is the wrong size anyways. Rear brake is non working, the pads are out of it. Front do work. Front tire has some weather checking, rear looks great with near new tread. It fires up quite easily and runs excellent. Also needs a seat (had an ugly as sin king/queen on it, i tossed it out). The little seat on it now doesnt fit and is not included, only shown for asthetics. Has a sweet old school metalflake blue paint job. This bike is somewhere between rat, and just needing a really good cleanup, depending on which way you go. It has chips, dirt, but I like 'em that way ! "THE FINE PRINT" : $300 non refundable deposit required within 48 hours. Final payment due within 7 days. I prefer bank check, money orders, or cash in person because Pyapal is going to hit me for another chunk of fees. Bike must be picked up within 14 days of auctions end. There will be a $25 per day storage fee each day after. Thanks for looking . Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.

This bike started life as a 1974 Harley Sportster XLCH1000. It has had many tasteful modifications done. They're listed below:- S&S Stroker kit installed in the 1970s. Believe it to be 4 5/8". I have pictures of the internals so you can verify. This kit included forged flywheel/crank, rods, pistons, and cylinder base plates. It takes the engine from 1000cc to roughly 1200cc and increases the torque monumentally. It hasn't been 100mi since this stroker kit was installed; it's still in the break-in period.- Dual plugged heads, with an Accel coil powering the second set of plugs- Dyna Ignition Booster replacing the points condenser- Entirely converted to electric start. New chrome handlebar controls, starter + solenoid.- New extended kick arm and pedal- Hi-flow period-correct air filter assembly- Chrome squared horseshoe oil tank- JPcycles spin-on oil filter kit installed. No more oil filter in the tank (they're hard to source).- Larger oil cooler installed to cool the larger engine- Chrome rocker box covers, primary cover, right side engine cover, points cover, gauges, chain cover, and just about everything else that could be chrome.- Has original Bendix carb which is freshly rebuilt, but should have an adjustable main installed. I left the Bendix to maintain the stock look; If you're looking to get real power out of the bike, it would benefit from an S&S carb.- Drag pipes- This year it has had the top end redone with all new gaskets. - New paint job this winter- Rebuilt front brake master cylinder and caliper- Have new tank decals if you want themIt is about 99% of the way to an amazing daily driver. I have made friends with every person in my neighborhood because they all stop to comment on it. It just needs a few more things. - I've been using a small battery I had sitting around in it because I always kick start it. To use the electric start, you'll want to pick up a new battery. - I bought a generator for it but for whatever reason it doesn't seem to be putting out. Will probably need rebuilt, maybe just polarized. - The front tire is original so it should be replaced. This is an amazing bike that really needs a good home. They just don't make them with this character anymore. I've been fixing it up but unfortunately I'm moving across the country for graduate school and I can't swing the shipping. Otherwise I'd ride the wheels off of it. The bike, chromed out and in its current very good to excellent condition is worth $5-8K according to NADAguide. The cost to build this engine would be at least $1000 for the stroker kit plus quite a bit more for labor. In light of the few little things the bike needs (front tire, generator and battery) I'm asking $7500 OBO. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or offers. Clean and clear title. Thank you very much,Nick

For sale is a very nice mostly all original 1974 Harley sportster 1000 xlch with a clear title, 15,000 miles, matching vin #'s 4a36282h4, right side shift, kick start, The key is missing and the bike has been sitting for a couple years not running but has compression and kicks over nice, other than the key switch or new key replaced, with a fresh battery, carb cleaning, new fuel, bike will run great, also missing the horn as it needed replaced, Bike is in great shape for being original and is hard to find sportsters un altered cosmetically as this one is. the chrome on one exhaust pipe has some chrome chipping(front most exhaust), the bikes chrome looks great and just has some slight rust spots and scuffs in areas but nothing major for being as old as it is. The glass on the gauges need to be replaced as they were removed due to needing replaced after they get a foggy almost scuffed look to them from over time, the Paint is in good shape and on tank and front fender has some slight fading on top but still shines great, metallic flake, tank has no dents, just some slight signs of age in a few small paint chips, and small scuffs but nothing major, front brake works in master cylinder and needs to be bled through and cleaned to be perfect. has a few small parts on air cleaner, and handlebar clamps and on engine side case replaced with aftermarket Harley Davidson chrome eagle covers/caps. and the front clutch side handle bar switch that the clutch lever is attached to seems to be re welded as a repair but is solid and works fine, I took a picture of it on the mirror side, The seat is a mustang, but otherwise this bike Looks excellent and only has small accessory parts aside from everything else original that would make a great runner and example of an original sporty with a little work, Bike up close does look excellent and will turn heads. I Must receive full payment within 3 days of auctions close, please contact after auctions close to discuss payment and pickup or shipping if it is desired, but must be arranged on the buyers end after receiving cleared payment. Thanks and feel free to ask any questions.
