Beautiful original Daytona Orange paint 1975 BMW R90s . I am the third owner of this bike and purchased it this spring in Manchester New Hampshire. I flew out and rode the bike 2600 miles home two up. It currently has 41,859 miles but is going up slightly. The bike runs and rides beautifully. I had intentions of putting all of the original R90s parts back on the bike but have really grown to like the RS fairing and Lester Mag wheels. I do have the original R90s fairing, original spoke wheels, and most of the necessary hardware to return it to it's original configuration as shown in the last picture. I also have a large file of information and service records from the first two owners. The top end was freshened up at 34,995 miles along with the dual plug conversion, I believe this was done in the mid 1980's but the invoice isn't dated. The RS Fairing was installed and painted to match in the early 1980's along with the LESTER mag wheels. The paint on the tanks and fenders is original and is not perfect but is very nice and still shines. There is a small dent on the right side of the tank that is shown in the pictures. The tail also has some scrapes and a crack in the sheet metal where it looks like someone tried to pick it up at some time. I had new Metzler Lasertec tires installed at 41,500 miles I also just changed the engine oil and filter along with the pan gasket and the drive and transmission fluid. I would not hesitate to ride this back across the country tomorrow. Please look at the pictures carefully as this is NOT a perfect bike but is a VERY nice, well sorted, ORIGINAL PAINT rider. It attracts LOTS of attention. If there are specific items you would like pictures of I have LOTS more or will take more. Please call with any questions or concerns. Ryan 303-263-0641

WOOOO! Check this out. Low miles. This has a kilometer speedometer and was a European delivery for the Continent and registers its speed and distance in Kilometers! Speedo goes to 220!!! I have decided to part with my beautiful 1975 R90/6 BMW motorcycle. I have owned many BMW motorcycles over the past 40 years and I can tell you this is one of the finest year and models ever. The 900cc engine is considered to be the best airhead ever built. Smooth, powerful and balanced with its oem oversized flywheel, it goes down the autobahn at record speeds of its era with incredibly low fuel consumption. BMWs built between 1974 thru 1976 are considered to be among the most collectible including the most sought after of them all the R90S. This is a bike in which all of the parts on it have lived together for over 40 years. Everything is original with no reproduction parts. This is a totally OEM unmolested survivor, in completely original condition. Clearly the bike has always been garaged and has never seen inclement weather nor is there any damage history. The paint color is called Monza Blue and is rare and coveted. The optional large Euro tank with knee pads is most sought after. In this case the paint is 100% original and enjoys its full luster. The original alloy/ spoked wheels are perfect and shine beautifully. The mufflers, headers and matching Continentals are in excellent condition and will serve you well for years. The machine has enjoyed the following services over the past 500 miles. New starter and battery. All fresh fluids including oil and air filters renewed. The rubber boot behind the transmission which protects the universal joint has been replaced. The rear splines were inspected and found to be perfect. They were properly lubricated and reassembled. New spark plugs, condenser and point. Also, the fork oil and front brake fluid has been renewed. The rear brake is set correctly and the master cylinder has been re-sleeved for the front brake. The carburetors and fuel petcocks have been rebuilt and adjusted as necessary. Mechanically it is one of best, smooth running BMWs. The throttle is perfect with the Bing carburetors responding perfectly. The 5 speed is perfectly mated to the proper horsepower. The braking is spectacular. Far better than you would expect from a 30 year younger bike! It was also necessary to replace the seat pan with a far better example. You would have no way of knowing by inspecting it as it it is an original replacement part. Buy it and drive it. That is all you have to do to enjoy the summer riding season! This bike is equipped with a wonderful set of Craig Vetter saddle bags with chrome side rails. Yes they are huge and do take some time to get used to, however you will not see too many others on the road. The seat is original and enjoys its period correct grab rail. Also included in the sale of the bike is an original Luftweiser fixed fairing. This was painted and striped to match at the time of sale but has lived off the bike for decades. This is one of the finest BMW bikes on the market at any price. Watch and see, soon these mighty 900s will follow in the footsteps of the R69S and R90S bikes as well as well as the air cooled Porsche models from the same era and will command higher and higher priced. There are very few airheads which can be purchased for this price that actually run! Original tools, and tray included. This bike is sold with a proper Maryland State title, with no liens, loans or damage history. The bill of sale as well. In closing, if you convert 60000 kilometers to miles, you are looking at a 40000 actual miles 40 year old bike. An average of 1000 miles per year! go figure. Feel free to call or text at 914 403 1768. I am happy to invite to our scenic hamlet in upper Westchester, located just 40 miles north of Times Square, where the roads are perfect for this giant autobahn cruiser. Minutes from Danbury or Stamford Connecticut as well. Thank you for reading. Cheers. John Louis. 914 403 1768

1975 R/90 with 5400 original miles!!!! The bike is not a numbers matching machine. The motor, drive train ,fenders and all other components are from the original 5400 mile bike. The original frame was damaged so a different frame was used. The bike looks great for its age. It has scratches some chips in paint, but otherwise a really nice old machine. It starts, stops, shifts well also! That frame is a from a 1975 r90/6 but it had roughly 25000 miles.I also have the number matching engine that matches the frame to go with the bike!According to receipts that I recieved when I bought it here on ebay it has had motor and trans work done. This is the motor that was in the donor frame. There is also the complete driveline, the sub frame, original grab bar because it now has a backrest on it. Along with these parts are also the headlight, headlight bucket, battery box, plus numerous other parts. The motor also has an electronic ignition module for it but installed on the donor motor. It has newer front and rear tires on the donor frames rims. The tires and rims on the bike are the originals from 1975 and are in excellent condition. The bike does have the original owners manuel and several other books that go with it, plus the original tool kit! The only thing changed were the exhausts due to the fact of old age. I do have the original exhausts that go with the bike. The bike has zeuna exhausts from a 1975 bmw R90/6 sport. It has a clear title for Indiana. It is pick-up only! Please look carefully at pics and call me with questions!!! 219-552-5092. A $1000 deposit is required at end of sale, with the rest due upon pick up. The bike will not leave until monies have cleared.I may stop ad at any time because it is for sale locally. Thanks for looking! The mileage may increase due to riding it some.* The bike is sold as is with no warranty of any kind!*

1975 BMW R90/6 Only 14,458 ORIGINAL MILES!!!! This is my Brother's cherished Classic R90 Airhead. He is no longer able to ride, so it will soon have a fortunate new owner. Don't miss this opportunity to be the new OWNER of this, all original, low mileage, Black Beauty! It will be a sad day to see it go, as it has been a "member of the family" for nearly 2 decades. It is easy to see that this vintage German classic has been well cared for and garage kept since it was born 40 years ago. The awesome OEM alloy tool kit, as original, is included in the sale! Other than a minor ding in one of the exhaust pipes(as shown in picture), the Motorcycle is in exceptional condition! Ride it in the Summer, and display it in a Museum over the Winter, It's that nice! Although currently licensed and stored indoors, no one has had a chance to ride it in about 4 years. For that reason, a tune up(points, condenser and carb kits) and a new battery will be installed for the new Owner. Please peruse the pictures, and you be the judge. Come and take a look if you like, and ask all the questions that come to mind. You won't be disappointed! 734-301-5178 P.S. All of the pics were taken last Fall. It has been put away since then, and its condition is unchanged.

1975 BMW R90/6 She starts, runs, and looks great. I would have no worries taking it on a 1000 mile trip tomorrow. I originally purchased it new in 1975 because I heard that BMW’s can last a long time. Forty years later I can assuredly say Yes they really do last forever. Of course proper maintenance is the key. I have religiously changed the fluids, filters, grease, and kept her tuned up. She is all cleaned up for you but I’m not going into a lot of detail about cosmetics because the pictures speak for themselves. The displacement is 900cc. Call me at 217-356-0912 and let me know which of the additional items you don’t want. Local pick up only in Champaign Illinois or you can use uShip. It suffers from the odometer failure common to this model years. I don’t know what the exact mileage is. Based on road trips and round trip to work, I am guessing around 70K to 80K. I had the odometer repaired once but it started slipping again so I just lived with it. The trip odometer works OK and is all I need to tell me when I should start looking for a gas station. She still gets 45 mpg. Additional Items included; Original users operating and maintenance manual, tool kit, and air pump; BMW fairing; Headlight safety flasher and rear 18 red LED brake flasher; Newly upholstered seat.

800x600 This motorcycle looks nearly showroom original, including little things like the original shock and shock covers, original barrel key (not available anymore), kick start (last year available as option), and rear (European) mud flap. Perfect for daily rider or show. An east coast BMW dealer has a completely restored 1975 R90S Daytona Orange listed for $30,995 if you are looking for a nicer R90S. However, if you have a slightly smaller budget, read on. Paint is better than original, repainted by master “smoke” painter in Orange, California, (has since passed away), one of the few that did it so well, some BMW dealers used him as their restoration painter. The only parts I know of that are NOT original are the Lufmeister triple clamp, the Corbin sport seat (the original seat is also included for competitive BMW shows), handlebar ends, stainless brake lines covered with black sleeve to look original, BMW battery charger connect plug (makes keeping the battery charged REALLY easy), the Hepco & Becker deeper hard bags with secure latches and locks (these bags can hold a full face helmet). Hepco & Becker are the same folks that made the original bags for the R90S, however, the new latch and locks work perfectly and no stories about how you arrived at your destination only to discover that one or both of your hard bags fell off somewhere while you traveled like with the old “seat belt” style latches. The mechanical condition is nothing short of spectacular with matching frame and engine numbers. This motorcycle is so powerful and fast, you will appreciate the Corbin sport seat since you probably would have slid off the stock seat otherwise. This R90S is unmolested (it still has the original ignition points, no electronic ignition here!) The only engine improvements are BMW recommended improvements including gearbox rebuild with upgraded shift mechanism. The original housing was kept and re-installed in order to keep the original appearance. Past service included replacement of clutch and drive-shaft (u-joints were slightly sloppy) and ring seal. An updated crankcase breather valve has been installed. Complete carburetor rebuilds, clock rebuild including quartz movement, and Michelin tires. This motorcycle is a nuisance to ride. I can’t go anywhere without folks coming up to me with questions/comments. Most folks think it is new, the ones that know what it is, just stare in awe. If you do not like being approached by admirers, this is the wrong motorcycle for you. Sold “As is, where is”, no warranty stated or implied. This is a classic vintage motorcycle, it is NOT new and there are slight signs of use and ware typical of a 40 year old motorcycle, however, it is EXTREMELY well preserved overall. This R90S has spent most of its life on the west and gulf coast in a climate controlled environment. I was advised that this R90S was Winner of the Preservation Award 2004 MOA National Rally. Mileage is currently 48372 and will change as I am riding when weather is nice. A $500.00 deposit required within 48 hours of end of auction, final payment via bank wire or cash within 7 days of end of auction, and pick up within 10 days of end of auction. I can help co-ordinate with shipper if necessary. It is unlikely that you will have an opportunity to purchase a 1975 Daytona Orange R90S in this condition in the future at this price. Good Luck and happy riding to the winner. Please email with any questions [email protected]. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

I have "For Sale" a nice 1975 BMW R90/6 with 62,533 miles on it. It has the hard to find Lester mag wheel option, a Corbin comfort seat, new AGM battery and a new old stock, 1979, R100, transmission. The transmission change was done about 3,000 miles ago to solve the stock transmission notorious shifting problems. Other than that, as far as I can tell, it is a 40 year old, unrestored, original that is ready to ride anywhere. I ride it on regular bases and would take it cross country today. This is just a nice old bike that runs great but would need some light cosmetic work to make perfect. Please ask questions before you bid. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping cost and arrangements. To protect everyone I request that the full payment be made with PayPal or cash in person. Seeing as how this bike is listed locally, I reserve the right to end this listing early.
