I am selling this from my late brothers estate. He had a few bikes tucked away in his garage awaiting restoration and this was one of them. It looks to me to be a complete bike- please see pictures. I provided a few so you can have a good look. Motor turns over and has good compression as noted above. It sounded great when I kicked it over. Radiator holds fluids and little bit leaked out when I kicked it over to test compression. The pipes look really good with no rust through anywhere that I can see. I provided pictures of underneath the mufflers and they look good as well. I restore bikes myself and this looks like a great candidate for a winter project. These RE5's are pretty interesting but a little too complex for a Triumph twin guy like me :) I do know that the bike was in covered, heated storage for over 20 years and my brother bought it from there. We do have a Florida title which is signed off on by the previous owner however my brother never transferred it into his name. I assume he would have done that after he restored it like he usually did. I suppose that is a kind of clear title? So I am not sure what to do with that. I will treat is as if there is NO title for this bike- will provide Bill of Sale, had to put something in the title box for Ebay. Purchaser is welcome to the title that we have though......I don't think it is a big deal for a 40yo bike and not hard to take care of. Bike is located in Roseville, MI - Zip 48066. Bike can be shipped or picked up. Paypal deposit of $300.00 required at auction end, full payment in 7 days.

I am selling this as part of my late brothers estate, my brother LOVED this XS11. He was a master auto mechanic and tooling machine repair man. The condition above is accurate and as much as I hate to sell this, my sister-in-law could use the funds and that trumps anything. My 67yo brother had this bike forever so I am not totally sure of its history. I think that he bought it from his friend who bought it new. The numbers match. Basically the bike was ridden regularly until he became ill and then sat for 3 years on a lift in his garage. I simply rolled it off the lift, washed off the dust and took the pictures to post. On a whim I quick charged the battery, tried to start it and like a good XS11, it started within 10 seconds with 3 year old gas in it !! The engine sounded great and no smoke. I think my brother did put gas stabilizer in it for winter storage which may have helped. Like I said, the carbs were leaking some but I am familiar enough with XS carbs to not freak out at that, those vacuum feed carbs are sensitive to sitting around. I took a video of it running but not sure if ebay will let me post a video. Overall the bike needs a couple weeks on a lift and some good elbow grease to be returned to a great 1st year specimen. The carbs might just "self correct" if some good gas and solvent are ran through. I simply have too many bike projects to do it myself and like I said, the Sis can use the $$. Shipping is on buyers dime and we can help get it loaded of course. We will answer any questions you may have. The BIN price is good deal for someone. I will answer questions as best I can if you have any. FYI , I will be listing a 1975 Suzuki RE5 and 1970 Triumph Trophy soon as well (complete "barn finds").......if you are interested just keep an eye out.
