Missing the left side trim cover under the seat, it blew off in a high wind. I have replaced these before from ebay for about $13 a cover. Seat is in great shape, no tears. Their handling far surpassed their rivals, and the engines are powerful and bulletproof, modelled very closely after Kawasaki's Z-engines, with several interchangeable parts. This is a very usable bike, even today. In fact, I ride it regularly, including on So. Cal Freeways, where it has given me no problems in traffic. The previous owner restored this bike in what he stated was a “frame off restoration”. The bike runs exceptionally well. The following work was done: Frame and bodywork repainted.Carburetors sent for specialist rebuilding with all new parts and tuned perfectly.New brake lines and pads, discs turned and vented.New chain.New seat.New lithium battery and charger.New tires.New speedometer and tachometer cables.New clutch cable.NOS gear-position display (the gear indicator works properly; often these are a problem). 1978 Honda Cb 750, 1978 Honda 750K with 14,912 miles. This bike was unused for many years until I found it and got it in running shape. What has been done: New plugs, air filter, oil and filter. Carbs disassembled, cleaned, adjusted and syncd. New Dunstall replica mufflers with original down tubes. These are as close to stock as can be found. Gel (AGM) battery. New Dunlop D404 tires and tubes. New fork oil. Disassembled clutch discs to check for wear, they are all the same thickness as new, as well as the front and rear brakes. Rebuilt front caliper and master cylinder. This bike is a nice original and has not been restored or modified. There are minor chips, dings and scratches and some light chrome pitting. The tank has original paint but the side covers have been replaced with nice originals (not reproductions). The aluminum engine covers have not been polished. Seat is perfect with no tears or bad seams. There were only two colors offered for the 78K, black or Candy Alpha Red, this one is the red. There is a non installed sissy bar w/small luggage rack and crash bar included. Tool kit and owners booklet.
