1979 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead , Ready for spring and summer: Beautiful low milage 1979 FLH80 FLH 80 Shovelhead. Believed to be less than 7500 original miles. Pretty awesome condition. I purchased it from the original owner 15 years or so ago (I'll have to check my paperwork for exact year I purchased it). He bought it from Illinois Harley-Davidson in Berwyn, IL. He owned a number of bikes, so no one of them was ridden much. Hence the low miles. I also own a number of bikes, so I put very few miles on it too. It was always stored indoors, mostly in a heated garage/storage space. It was sitting, collecting dust, for the last several years, but I recently gave it a once over: new fluids, safety inspection, drained gas, put in fresh gas, etc. etc. I wouldn't hesitate to ride it anywhere. I have the original fairing/windscreen too. A few years back I blew a bearing which did some damage to the crankcase, so rather than trying to machine it, I replaced it. Maybe 500 miles or less on the new parts. The original crankcase, plus other misc parts come with it. With a Hydraulic Roller Special Fireball 300H from Crane Cams and an S & S Cycle Super Stock Crankcase it literally runs better than new. This rare original seat and grab bars as well as the hard bags, were taken off by the original owner and he used an aftermarket seat and bags instead. That's why these are in such good condition, they were safely tucked away in storage for many years. The tank was resprayed years ago, due to repairs to a leak at the stem. Only thing that needs attention that I know of is the oil check valve. When the bike sits unused for a long while, oil gets past the check valve and gravity feeds down into the crankcase where it will be evacuated the first time it's started. You just top it off and you're on your way. This is supposedly an easy thing to inspect and repair, I just hadn't gotten to it yet. I'm thinking of selling this because this thing needs to be ridden, and it pains me to let it collect dust. Since having a baby, plus being overworked, I'm just not using the bike like I wish I could. All photos are very recent and represent the current condition. No disappointments. Would consider trade (plus cash up or down either way) towards low mileage Jeep Wrangler, Cherokee, Dodge Durango, Nitro AWD or Hummer H3 or H3T. Vehicle is currently in Chicago 60622. $9,200.00

You are bidding on a 1979 Harley Lowrider. This Shovelhead has a S&S lower stroker kit. It is 88ci. The motor has S&S jugs rods and wheels. The heads are two plug per cylinder. Ignition is a Dyna S. The carb is a two throat Dellorto. Oil system has a oil cooler. New All Balls high torque starter. Bike has JB aluminum controls and master with new rubber o rings and matching rear pegs. Rear brakes are JB rotor and caliper. Front brakes are stock dual disk. Narrow glide with chrome lowers and chrome top tree. Pull back bars. Adjustable chrome rear swing arm. Chrome inner and outer primary covers. LePera seat. Strutless rear fender. Rear tire still has the nipples on it. Paint is a good street rider. It has it's nicks and chips.
