Great original 1979 R100RS in good shape and ready to ride. For the person who has always wanted an RS, this is a good low mileage bike that we have just taken in as part of a fleet of older airheads from a CT collector. We have gone through the motorcycle, mechanically checked it for all functions., changed all the fluids and filters, cleaned it up, test ridden it, and are now making it available for sale.If you have always wanted an RS, these are getting harder to find in good condition and restored versions are selling for tens of thousands of dollars. This is a great looking and strong running example that is priced well under $10,000 and will be easy and fun to own. Please call Steve with any questions.Contact Steve at MAX BMW CT S. Windsor for more info at (860)372-4552. Condition: This bike is in good overall condition.Warranty: Due to the bike's age, mileage or condition, this vehicle is being sold as-is.Our As-Is Process includes the following: Test drive (6 miles) Documentation of visible mechanical conditions Estimated cost of repair of major issues Documentation of all known options or accessories Wash and cleaning of bike Basic mechanical and cosmetic reporting No warranty

1979 Kawasaki Kz 400, 1979 Kawasaki KZ 400 Bobber. Absolutely nothing wrong with the bike. It needs a back tire(which I have and will give you) and a new front brake master cylinder( have it as well, nothing wrong, just looks dirty to me). Haven't had time to put on. Has less than 100 miles on it after previous owner said he rebuilt. I bought it back in about Feb and have only drove around my neighborhood to keep it running and not just parked. Stored inside. Fun, great running bike. Fresh paint. Had a quarter size dent(dimple) in gas tank. Has a '29 ford taillight. Real head turner. Shelbyville, Kentucky. Must be able to pick up before 4p in order to transfer title. Text is best 502-257-4045 $2,600.00 5022574045

Beautiful vintage classic! The ’79 Kawasaki KZ650 C3 had several upgrades to previous popular Kawi KZ650 models. The muscle-machine of its day, this supersports middle weight is that very bike. This machine is 100% O.E.M. unrestored in superb condition, having been stored inside all of its life. And it shows. KZs in this series had bullet-proof longevity and reliability. A few upgrade features of the KZ650 C3 series model included: - cast alloy wheels - drilled triple disk brakes (greatly improved wet braking) - auto cam chain tensioner - very pretty luminous blue paint and gold trim Recent features that are part of this bike include: - rebuilt carbs & new plugs - new air & oil filters - fork & brake hydraulic fluids replaced - new tires (149 mph rated) - new 2016-2017 reg. tag - 13,617 mi. - Clymer Manual Best of all, this baby purrs, raps, & rides as nice as it looks. Lots of life & lots of oomph. Suitable for collection, commuting, or cross-country. My opinion is that it’s just a ton of fun. Serious inquiries only pls.

This is the cleanest KZ1000 you'll ever find, the motor pulls strong and smooth from the first gear, we rebuilt the carburetors and we might install new jets soon. The shape of the tank of this 79' is amazing, it has the original paint and pin striping. (and a couple of scratches) This could be a cafe project or with just a little clean up a great show bike, everything works, speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, lights Hi/low, blinkers, tail and stop light. the seat is original s well and has no tears. Great solid bike, it handles like new in the city as well as on the highway. it has motor guards and it's completely street legal.Once again, no modifications were made on this beauty, just a light restorations of the original components. NO oil/fuel leaks 93 HP - 1015 cc !!! Super Fast bike Clean/clear title I will need a non refundable deposit of 500$ once we agree on the price and full payment MUST be made within 7 days from the purchasing date. The deposit must be made through paypal so we both enter the Seller/ Buyer protection plan. However, If you wish to pay the balance through paypal you'll take care of the fees. (a wire transfer it's a better option in terms of fees) The buyer takes care of shipping, (booking, paying and dealing with pick up and delivery dates) make sure that your shipper has insurance, because once the bike leaves my shop, i will NOT be responsible for any damage caused during shipping. We offer to ship Worldwide (on buyers expenses) Contact me with any question/concerns The best offer takes the bike Buy with confidence As we have 100% positive feedbacksMagnum Opus Custom Bikes

I am selling my one of a kind 1979 Kawasaki KZ1000 Pro Street style chopper. This bike has been extremely good to me and was my daily rider for several years. It is very reliable and very fast. It has approximately 24000 miles on the engine. The previous owner told me that he had a Wisco 1075 big bore kit installed when the bike had about 10k miles on it, but I never opened the motor to confirm. The new speedometer shows 106 miles (might go up a few). The last oil change was done at the 8 mile mark. This bike has a clear Florida title in my name.It was my daily rider for almost five years but I bought a new bike, and instead of neglecting it, I figured I would give someone else a chance to appreciate it. This bike gets a lot of attention and has been known to draw small crowds, even at gas stations. Most of the custom work has been done in the last two years and there are a lot of new parts on this bike.Below is a list of everything (that I can remember) that I have changed on this bike. Most of the parts were new at the time of installation.Voodoo Vintage Boardtrack Hard tail conversionFactory KZ1000 front frame section has been modified with a double walled backbone and gusseted for added rigidity Custom Chrome 4.2 gallon stretched tank (Red kote sealed)Aircraft style vented gas capPingel high flow fuel petcockCustom rear fenderCustom electronics boxCustom battery boxLow Brow Customs kickstandNew AGM battery (installed 06/08/15) with charger pigtails attached and trickle charger included Biltwell Black Smooth Slimline seatLa Rosa coil seat shocksVoodoo Vintage stainless steel Snail Cam chain adjustersMonster Craftsman sprocket chain tensionerShaved upper fork clampUlitma 18x5.5 60 spoke rear wheel with a 200/50-18 tireKawasaki 19" front wheel with a 100/90-19 tireHarley Davidson rear caliper w/new carbon Kevlar padsKawasaki Ninja rear master cylinderHarley rear rotorRebuilt KZ1000 front forks (new seals, dust covers and oil)KZ1000 dual front calipers with carbon Kevlar padsSport style front master cylinderFront and rear stainless steel braided brake linesAll Balls roller steering stem bearings530 chain conversionEK MVXZ gold chainOffset front sprocketModified sprocket cover (to accept the offset front sprocket)Custom made rear sprocketTarozzi Type 13 folding foot controlsTarozzi fork braceWoodcraft 3 piece clip-on handlebars1.9" mini speedometer with odometer5-3/4" visor headlight with H4 composite bulb.Momentary micro-switch controlled LED turn signals LED neutral and high beam indicators Axle mounted tag bracket with LED tail/brake lightThoroughly cleaned, completely rebuilt and synced Mikuni BS34 carburetors jetted (40 pilots, 132.5 mains) with new JBM Industries diaphragmsSteel Dragon polished billet velocity stacks with brass mesh filter screensMotion Pro throttle, clutch and speedometer cablesEmission reed valve block of platesStainless steel engine hardwareWrapped Vance and Hines header with open slash cut chrome tipPolished exhaust flangesMarshall liquid filled analog oil pressure gaugeDynatek ignition and performance mini coilsCrane Cams 8.5mm FireWire performance plug wiresNGK B8ES spark plugs118 DB hornPolished oil capWaterproof registration holderFresh oil change with K&N oil filter (approx 100 miles ago)Click here; Custom KZ1000 to see a short video. Due to liability issues, no test rides will be allowed. This bike is also listed for sale locally, so this listing could be canceled at any time. The winner will be required to make a $500.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours and the difference must be paid in cash or certified cashier's check within 7 days. Typical XR Honda - starts right up even after months of being stored in the shed. Runs, idles, goes through the gears, just as it should. Modifications I've made to the bike: - Kawasaki KLX110 front forks...nothing too fancy about that. Just had the forks sitting around and thought it would be an interesting swap. - 1980 CR80 rear shocks...just like we used to do back in the day to our XR's. - "XR MiniRacer" Snake Pipe...makes a better sound than the stock pipe and looks trick. If you don't know who XR MiniRacer is, google his web site. The engine mounts are also a product from there. - CR125 side panels - I think they look better than the stock side panels - Uni Filter pod-style air filter...helps the engine breathe easier with the aftermarket pipe - I had the frame powdercoated and the tank repainted to give it more of a CR "racer" look - Engine was completely rebuilt and actually has very few miles on it. Like I was saying, my son outgrew it before he put many hours on it - The black paint you see on the engine is not just rattle-can heat paint. It's Gun Kote...which helps dissipate the heat from the engine. This is a great bike for a 7-10 year old beginner rider. That's why I built it, so my son could learn how to ride. He's just outgrown it. But if you know anything about these bikes, adults can ride them, too! Makes a great pit bike (we always had people coming up to check it out at the race track) or a bike for the wife/girlfriend to ride As far as delivery, I can probably deliver the bike within a 100 mile radius of Phoenix, Arizona. If we can come to an agreement on that. Otherwise, THE BUYER (that's you) will have to arrange for shipping/pick up. The description shows that I will ship out of the country and unfortunately, I do not know how to change that. I would rather not have to deal with shipping out of the country. But if you are buying from outside the Continental United States, be sure you have a company that will come to my house to pick up the bike and guarantee that the bike will be delivered to you unharmed. ALL FREIGHT COSTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. Once the wheels touch the freight carriers vehicle, that's where my responsibility ends! I'll try to add more pictures, if anyone needs to see more. Payment is to be by PalPal ONLY - unless you arrive at my door with cash in hand. Any emails about "I'll send you a check and have my agent pick up the bike" will be ignored/deleted. Thanks for looking! Message me if you have any questions not answered in my description!

You are looking at a 1979 Kawasaki KZ650C. I will list the good and the bad. The Good: New tires with less than 200 miles on them (Avon Roadrider's front and rear).Newer (2 years ago) cables (clutch, tach, and both throttle cables).Newer (2 years ago) drive chain (O-ring chain) and sprockets.Newer (2 years ago) iridium spark plugs.Newer (2 years ago) ignition points.Accel ignition coils and 8.8mm spark plug wires.Air filter pods.Vance & Hines header and muffler (sounds wicked).Carbs rejetted for air pods and exhaust. All newer (less than 200 miles) gauge cluster backlighting bulbs. The inside of the gas tank is clean and free of rust.Turn key ready to ride. The bad:The right starter button and kill switch controls are inop. The starter switch is under the seat in front of the battery. The taillight is not original and does turn on automatically. There is a switch to turn on the taillight by the starter switch. There is a small oil leak under the bike. I haven't looked to see where it is coming from. The oil filter bolt head is stripped out. I have a new bolt and oil filter that will be included with the bike. The headlight is not 100% secure in the housing. I have a piece of cardboard wedged in there to keep it from rattling. The headlight trim ring is rusted. There is a crack in the paint on the gas tank in front of the fuel cap and some chips in the paint around the neck opening. The paint on the back of the rear fender and under the seat is chipped up.The ball is broken off of the clutch lever. There is a replacement lever that will be included with the bike.Could use new grips. The front axle cap on the right side has a stripped stud and the nut will not come off. There is a jamb nut on this stud and the cap is secure. I have a used pair of front forks that will be included with the bike ( I do not know the condition of the seals on the replacement forks). There are dents in the header and muffler.Other:I replaced the seat cover with a piece of simulated alligator skin vinyl.I had picked up everything needed to convert the front brakes to a dual brake system. The master cylinder needs to be rebuilt. The original single front brake set up is back on the bike so it can be ridden. The dual brake set up will be included with the bike. The original fuse block was severely corroded. I replaced it with individual inline fuse holders. The fuel valve on the gas tank was broken and I couldn't find a replacement at the time for reasonable money. I installed an on off valve, there is no longer a reserve. All of the left controls work properly. The tail and brake lights are wired differently from the factory (they do work properly) so when the brakes are applied the stop lamp indicator comes on extra bright indicating a burnt out bulb. The bike has been repainted in orange. The bike could use a good cleaning. This motorcycle is a turn key ready to ride bike and has nice power for a 650. I was in the process of collecting the parts needed and addressing the things that needed to be corrected when I acquired another motorcycle last summer and I haven't ridden this one much since. From the time I had gotten this bike in 2011, I have put on less than 1000 miles. Please look at the pictures for more details. I have a lot more pictures than what I can post on here, so if you want to see something I don't have a picture of or if you want to come out and take a look at it in person, just let me know. This listing is for and is LOCAL PICK UP ONLY! I will not ship this motorcycle. Pick up must be within 7 days unless you contact me to work out details. I have no problem with working something out with you as long as you contact me. If you have any questions, please email me. Payment: Due to Ebay's policies, I only accept cash at the time of pick up (please notify me that you want to come out and look at the bike and payment can be made at that time) or Pay Pal. PayPal payment is due immediately upon clicking the Buy It Now tab (this is to keep "jokesters" from fraudulently buying this motorcycle, I prefer cash at time of pick up). If you have ANY questions about making a payment, please email me. I will be happy to work something out with you. I am as descriptive as possible and questions are always welcome. Thank you for stopping by.

What you would be getting here is a real classic! For it's day this bike was the fastest production bike on the road. It was so good that for the decade of the "80's" this was the bike police chose the most to use (www.wikipedia.com/wiki/Kawasaki_Kz1000) Now this bike was not a police version but she still "GETS ON IT" As you can see by the pics, this bike is in very good shape for it's age. The owner before me took very good care of her, as she was garage kept all those years. And yes those are 23,000 original miles! Now I was not able to keep her in a garage, but she was covered nicely. I have performed a full tune and timing service on this bike. This included a full removal, dis-assembly, clean & adjust, re-assembly , and re-install of the four carburetor set. I also recently changed the oil and filter, about 300 miles ago. I should note the she get about 35-37 miles a gallon (32 mpg with the windshield on). And yes, I will give her a very good cleaning before you take possession. When I bought her I bought her on EBAY for $ 1500.00 and that's what I'm selling her for now. But all I got was the bike, you are going to get a lot more then I did. Below is a list of what you will get: 1) 1979 Kalasaki KZ 1000 LDT, 23,000 miles (www.wikipedia.com/wiki/Kawasaki_Kz1000)2) Two each (DOT) helmets, one large, one extra large3) One extra set of shocks, the set on the bike are 13" and are for two riders, the extra set is 11" and can be used by just one rider (lets you sit closer to the ground)4) The bike has a new (http://sidewindersprockets.com/) chain and sprocket set.5) Two each new coils and spark plug wires.6) Four each new spark plugs.7) One each new set of points and condenser.8) Three each cans of Chain Wax, each slightly used.9) One each "King & Queen" Saddleman seat, a $100.00 value10) One each Saddleman extra seat. a $75.00 valve11) One each easily removable Plexafairing windshield, originally $200.00, your getting it for free,(www.nationalcycle.com/catalogue/Classic.shtml) (NOTE: This unit is damaged, however she still functions well for taking the wind off of you on those chillier day and nights, and she is the largest model, covers your full upper body and hands)12) The previous owner installed the Extended Front Forks you see.13) Both tires have about 65% of their life remaining.14) I also added a center kick stand for making tire and chain servicing easier. NOTE: One ISSUE that does exist is this, one of the carb's has a sticky float, sometimes it will hang open and drain the gas tank over night. I have attempted to fix this to "NO JOY" . So now I just turn the gas line valve (the one on the left hand side of the bike used for the reserve tank) to "OFF" every time I park the bike. SHIPPING, there will be NO shipping.I will however bring it to you up to about 100 miles from Alpena, MI. As far south as Standish, as far west as Gaylord, as far north as Rogers City. Sorry nothing east, as this is a bike not a boat! In no way shape or form am I suggesting, endorsing, recommending, or redirecting any potential seller to buy anything outside of the sale of this bike!
