trying to restore.rebuilt top end end runs good,after a few minutes it smokes from cylinder #2 i think it is a valve seal,or guide.i tore it down to pistons,honed cylinders and replaced std.rings,replaced new timing chain,replaced two rollers that were worn.bought 34mm carbs then rebuilt with new floats.i installed dyna s ignition with new coils and spark plug connectors.replaced advance assembly.sounds real good.installed new front mastercylinder new brake pads,have rear chrome caiper with new pads.recovered seat relpaced front and rear tires.new high torque battery.installed new windshield,i like it.has higher style handle bars.im sure i missed something i put a lot of effort into it for over a year now im ready to let someone else have it.i have new speedometer cable new tach cable 3 oil filters a new key blank not cut.new breathers also.please take it off my hands.i would consider a trade if it dont sell.i dont know the policy.i will deliver this if not too far from augusta georgia.have to discuss fee

The shape of the tank of this 79' is amazing, it has the original paint and pin striping. (and a couple of scratches) This could be a cafe project or with just a little clean up a great show bike, everything works, speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, lights Hi/low, blinkers, tail and stop light. the seat is original as well and has no tears. This is a 1979 classic Kawasaki KZ1000 Shaft Drive bike that has undergone extensive refurbishment to make it a great cruising bike. Sam's Cycle Supply performed all the mechanical work on the bike here in Las Vegas, Nevada. The carburetors were completely gone through and rebuilt and then synchronized on their dynamometer. The engine and transmission was resealed so there are no leaks anywhere. The carburetors are from a chain drive model which are slightly larger than the stock shaft drive versions. The bake has a custom flat seat in black simulated alligator hide with red piping. The wheels are stock from the bike with new tires mounted on them with extensive polish and paint work done to them. The red paint work on the wheels matches the red piping on the seat. The front shocks were completely rebuilt and polished to mirror chrome as were the front calipers and master cylinder. The ignition wires, plug ends and plugs were all replaced with new. The turn signals are retro era and work well. The speedometer and tachometer work perfectly. The buyer is responsible for transportation of the bike from Las Vegas, Nevada.
