The miles will go up a little as I ride it now and again (in the neighborhood) Last registered on the road in 1979/1980! Last inspected in 1979 Frame stripped and repainted with Rustoleum Black Enamel. New carb, fork seals and dustcaps, rear tire. Runs, shifts and stops! Everything works on the bike (Indicators, horn, lights, speedo etc) except for the headlamp. It needs a new sealed beam unit. A "New Old Stock" Suzuki headlamp complete with chrome ring and adjuster is $99 delivered (eBay). An after market one should be available for around $30. Comes with original tool kit, owners manual, workshop manual and parts manual. I also have new stickers for the gas tank. The gas tank is in great shape but the paint is poor. I do not have the title for the bike and nor did the previous owner. I have had the VIN number ran by the local police and it doesn't come up with any issues, in fact, there are no records for the bike at all! I am very careful about my descriptions having gone on many wild goose chases to see bikes and cars that turned out to be in far less condition than advertised. I am sure many of you have been in the same boat so I will do my utmost to describe this so that there are NO disappointments or surprises. Fresh from long dry storage since last registered in 1994, 1979 Suzuki Wes Cooley model 1000cc. It has 38680 miles but the engine was completely rebuilt in 1994 by a certified Suzuki tech at about 37500 miles and before the then owner could put many miles on it, he bought an old Harley he had been chasing for years so this was stored until I purchased it. While it appears mostly stock and has the original paint, it has been totally worked over. The following were improvements made by him. 1100cc big bore kit with high compression dome pistons. Chrome Molly Valves. High Lift Cams. All new gears and shifting forks. Vance & Hines clutch basket and plates. 29mm Mikuni Smooth Bore Carbs. K&N Air Filters. New 630 chain and sprockets Dyna Coils and Taylor Wires. GSXR 1100 Swing Arm. Fox Shocks. Vance & Hines Sidewinder Competition Only exhaust and headers. Daytona fork brace. Michelin Hi-Sport tires 160/61x18 rear and 110/8x19 front in like barely used condition with no cracks. In addition to the modified bike, I have the following parts that came off it when the work was done. Stock exhaust and header in very nice condition. Stock swingarm. Stock rear shocks. Stock transmission gears. Stock sprockets. Stock pistons. Stock Cylinders. Stock lower bearings. Stock head. Stock cams. and original air box and some misc parts. The original paint is nice with a few small scratches and the 2 small problems I describe below. No rust on the forks or other small chrome parts. Seat is perfect and original in every way. Now the flaws which are cosmetic only. The handlebars are either superbike bars, Honda 400F Super Sport or BMW R90s and are slightly lower then stock. This caused the right brake assembly to put a small ding in the tank when the bike fell against something in the garage. One of the clear covers on gauge assembly is cracked (see close-up) and the panel was broken on right edge near fairing. There is also a small puck around the same area of tank on left side and scratch on left fairing. Now more good and fun stuff. This bike is a brute and pulls strongly right off the bat. No smoke on startup or after being warmed up. Shifts crisply thru all the gears and handles surprising well. Extra parts included in the sale include the stock exhaust with an extra pipe. One photo shows black goo but that was just baked on road grime and chips off and I have no doubt that it is fine under the goo. An original factory plastic Wes Cooley fairing that has no flaws except someone bought it originally and put it on their GS and painted it to match their bike (I have heard of very high prices being paid for originals so this is a big bonus), original Wes Cooley tail piece and front fender and one extra tail piece off a stock GS. All pieces shown. I have a clear New Hampshire title. Please feel free to contact me thru eBay with any questions you may have. I will also answer any questions by phone if you wish. Believe it or not it has original mileage under 200 miles. I drove couple miles and it reached over 100miles. The story of this bike is belowWhen the first owner bought from dealer and paid cash for this bike, he asked to them to lower the seat height. and drove back to home.After he drove home he dropped it and got injured.His one leg are broken due to its weight, and never drive again.It sat in garage for all years until it is discovered from his friend.The original owner gave to his friend whom I purchased from. So, it is only one owner bike and actually it shows I'm a first owner on the title because it was never registered from 1980 and its record was not on DMV system.I transfer this bike as new bike.I have registration card from 1980 and original purchase receipt from dealer on 1979. Due to these paper includes private information, I can email for detail upon request.It still has original blue plate which is on the picture, however DMV issued new plate for this bike after I finished DMV paper works. The bike has some scratches on one of exshaust however it is very minor.Also, the original owner lower the seat height, so it doesn't have grab bar.That's only one thing it is not original. Besides the seat, everything is original. Even the tire it is from 1979. manufacture date showing it. However, I put a new battery and cleaned carburetor to make this bike running and resulted come back its life.
