1979 Vespa Px 125, Low mileage classic 4 speed Vespa in beautiful condition. This scooter has averaged less than one tank of gas per year since it was new 35 years ago--mileage is 3313. Everything works, the battery charges, no fuel issues (tank is very clean), all rubber looks as if the scooter has been in a temperature-controlled, humidified environment). Automatic oil-fuel mixing (works perfectly, and typically with Vespas, it's bullet proof). Excellent mirrors with custom extenders so you can see past your elbows. Transmission shifts smoothly (clutch with 4 speeds). Matching original red wind screen included. Maximum speed is 55 mph. Original toolkit, original owners manual, and Haynes manual. Paint is original with a very few scratches. This scoot comes with two new Continental Zippy tires--the original spare Pirelli tire under the left cowl looks as if it has never been used. Excellent barbecue rack with large carrying case. Scooter has never been dropped or in any accident. This bike is all-original except for a minor electrical safety modification I added--a beeper attached to the turn signal circuits. No yearly license fee--this is a collector vehicle/plate, and of course I have the title. You need a motorcycle endorsement to ride this bike. No test rides without a motorcycle endorsement on your license and the full cash price in my hand. Originally a fabulous barn find by one of the "wheels" at the Minions Scooter Club in Spokane, this bike is truly a phenomenal "shifty" classic.......and.......it's the right color. $1,800.00

Back in 1980 I bought a 1979 Daytona Special, and for many, many years I rode it everywhere and loved it. My stock 1979 Daytona Special was awesome looking.When I first decided to buy another RD400 years ago, I initially wanted to find another Daytona Special to rekindle my love of the two stroke street bike that I remembered as a younger man. But I first came across this 1978 RD 400 I and took a test ride. I was hooked immediately. This 78 RD400 was a lot quicker than my stock Daytona and handled a lot better. There was really no comparison. I never looked back at missing out on owning another Daytona. This 1978 RD400 is a very tight ride and has a huge amount of raw neck snapping power which was exactly like I wanted, and what I EXPECTED. The expansion chambers make this bike sound incredible and unmistakable. What you get:: A very very clean fast ride on a classic Yamaha RD 400 Expect to get tons of thumbs up from old timers who know the bike, and especially from newbies that don't know what a two stroke road bike is. Everywhere you go.
