This is a 1980 Honda CM400E that has been modified to be ridden as a dual sport. This bike isn't a show piece, but she's got it where it counts. It's reliable and FUN. The frame has been bobbed and it now sports a seat from a CB550. The stock bars were trashed in favor of a set of dirt bike bars. The exhaust and muffler are a one off hand build (by me) and they sound great (let me just pat myself on the back, here) they give the engine a little bark without being overwhelming (although it's a short GP style muffler, I made it two chambers to cut down on noise). The exhaust, as well as any odds and ends that were showing signs of rust, were blasted and powder coated. The carbs were cleaned and adjusted. The bike was thoroughly cleaned and lubricated to get rid of 30 years of grit. The tires are new Bridgestone Trail Wings. The battery is brand new and any wires that have been modified (for the tail light) have been properly butt staked and sealed with shrink tube.
