1980 Honda CX500 Deluxe in very nice condition.  This bike starts, runs, and rides exactly like it should.  Everything works properly (turn signals, gauge lights, both brake light switches, etc).  Original paint, original seat, no broken tabs on the sidecovers, no rust on the exhaust or in the fuel tank - just overall a nicely preserved CX 500. The front forks have been rebuilt with Progressive springs and new seals.  The Bridgestone tires are in good shape - rear is new and front is excellent.  The cooling system was recently flushed, and the battery was recently replaced.  The bike has a Hondaline rear luggage rack and trunk (not cheap aftermarket stuff).  The tool kit is under the seat where it belongs, and both factory Honda ignition keys are included. This bike is quite fun to ride - pleasant and nimble.  It sounds good, looks nice, and is economical.  I just took these photos, so they are current and accurate. Things you should know:  There is a small ding on each side of the fuel tank (smaller than a quarter).  The horn is a bit weak.  One of the plastic latches for the Hondaline trunk is broken (other plastic latch and metal latch are both intact and operational, trunk closes securely).  I do not have a key to lock the Hondaline trunk.  The brakes work well but occasionally squeak - brand new pads and shoes are included. As a free bonus item, I have a Vetter Quicksilver fairing for the bike (silver in color, nice windshield, square headlight).  If you or your shipper are ok hauling loose non-packaged items, I will include it with the motorcycle.  I am not willing to mount it on the bike nor am I willing to wrap or crate it for shipping.  If you opt not to take the fairing, there will be no change in the purchase price of the motorcycle. 1980 Honda CX500 Just under 15,000 Original MilesLiquid Cooled, Shaft Driven 500cc Motor. Runs great!New battery this summer, new tires last summer, Reupholstered seat last summer, new paint last summer, new washable K&N Air Filter, New NGK spark plugs this summer as well. Just put new fluids in it. Runs great, but every once in a while it will drip a drop or two of oil after a long day of riding and only if it's a hot day. The front tire has a slight wobble to it, I'm sure it just needs to be balanced or something. Looks like the bike has been put down once before and I've included pictures of ALL the cosmetic issues.All in all this bike is in awesome awesome shape for it's age. Garage kept for the vast majority of it's life if not it's entire life. Only selling cause I want to put the money towards restoring my other bike. Thanks

Recently I picked up this exceptional example one of Honda's most unique dependable and great all around motorcycles, the CX500. This bike is quick starting runs and rides fantastic tires are fairly new.80 to 90 % good. My partner took it out for a ride in the country and put 33 miles on it he returned with a big grin on his face. He said the bike was a joy to ride it run strong (specs say the cx500 is capable of over 100mph) handled superbly. All in all this is a great vintage motorcycle for around town or with the saddle bags trunk windshield and only 18,000 miles is ready to go on that cycle vacation. 100% Custom Build 1980 Honda CX500 Cafe Racer. The bike is a full frame - off 12 month restoration with no expenses spared. This bike can be easily used for everyday riding. It is light, nimble and unbelievably fun to ride. Breathtaking - this is the most common response you hear from people seeing this build in our showroom. This bike is perfect from top to bottom. Everything on this bike was taken apart, restored or replaced. It was professional build over a 12 month period. To give this bike its unique look the tank was hand - painted by an artist over a three month period. It now has the artists signature pattern and styling that adds a new element to the bike and will never again be re - created. This build is a blend between modern performance, and vintage styling. The frame was first shortened and butted, and had all of the unnecessary tabs and brackets removed before it was sent to powder coat in a layer of classic gloss black. I started with a bone stock blown up 1980 honda CX500c and built a sleek looking very well running bike. Everything on the bike is new down to the handle bar controls. the engine has 200 miles since the rebuild and it is running very strong. The piggy back rear shocks also only have 200 miles on them and are properly adjusted for a old sporty feel. The seat is a cafe racer seat off of a cb500 that was modified to fit this bike. Most non-essiential things such as the stock H box and center stand have been removed to fit the style of the cafe racer but I have all of the stock parts which will go with the bike. Frame and other parts freshly painted a couple months ago. The mufflers are brand new and sound great! Everything works. Just replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs! This bike is an absolute blast to ride! It truly feels like a racing bike that was built in the 80's.
