We have sold over 37,000 motorcycles in the last twenty years and enjoyed every minute of it. In the twenty years before that, the exact number is a little hazy. Those were the years with cookouts on weekends, kegs of beer left next to the grill with stacks of cups. We’re pretty sure we enjoyed those years as well but no one here remembers how many bikes we sold. The Barnett family has been in the motorcycle business since 1973, and all five of us are still in the store every day, including 81-year-old business founder Sherman Barnett and his wife Christy who still both race 800 hp dirt track cars twice a week. QUALITY: We have expert mechanics experienced in many brands. Our service department has led the district in CSI ratings on several occasions; we do our best to sell well-inspected used motorcycles. 1980 Kawasaki KE125 Dualsport. $500 (CASH ONLY - NO TRADES). NO TITLE, sorry. Buyer can apply for lost title. Was going to restore but just don't have time. Only thing I can tell missing is the rear sprocket & carrier. Has been sitting for many years and will need the usual work such as battery, carb clean, air filter, spark plug etc. to run or can be used as a parts bike, but that would be a shame as its 98% all there. Usual rust and dings typical of the age and condition. Missing rear turn signal brackets. Tires have good tread but aged and dry cracked. Gas tank does have rust inside but no holes that I can visibly see. For comparison, there's other KE125 listings on eBay such as a used motor for $400, or also a cylinder alone for $800! With this deal you can have the WHOLE BIKE for less than that!

For sale is a garage kept, original owner and in great condition 1980 Kawasaki KE125 dirt bike. It has 4806 original miles and kick starts/rides great. All electronics are fully functional except for the right side turn signal which lights up, but doesn't blink. Tach, speedo, rear lights, front short and high beams, all work great. It's a truly fun little bike to ride around. Just ask, if there is anything else you'd like to know about this bike. I've listed it under local pick up only, but I am willing to ship it at the buyers expense and choice of freight company. I have two other vintage kawasakis listed.

1980 Husqvarna CR 250, Great vintage bike in great condition. Current tags & clear title. - As with many motorcycle manufacturers, Husqvarna first began producing bicycles in the late 19th century. In 1903, they made the jump to motorcycle manufacturing. The first "Husky" motorcycles used imported engines, and it wasn't until 1918 that Husqvarna began producing machines built entirely in-house. Around that time they secured a contract with the Swedish Army and began entering cross-country and long-distance motorcycle racing events. In 1920, Husqvarna established its own engine factory and the first engine to be designed was a 550 cc four-stroke 50-degree side-valve V-twin engine, similar to those made by companies like Harley-Davidson and Indian. Although they once made motorcycles for street use, and raced at road circuits such as the Isle of Man TT prior to World War II, they are better known for producing world championship winning motocross and enduro bikes. In the 1960s, their lightweight, two-stroke engined off-road bikes helped make the once dominant British four-stroke motorcycles obsolete. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Husqvarna was a dominant force in the motocross world, winning 14 Motocross world championships in the 125 cc, 250 cc and 500 cc divisions, 24 enduro world championships and 11 Baja 1000 victories. This is the most fully documented Kawasaki Rickman CR I have ever seen with all of the invoices and paper work dating back to 1975. The bike has the full build sheet of the engine by RC engineering and paper work from Vetter fairing listing this bike as # 13 imported into the US. This is the holy grail in Rickman's in my book and one of the nicest bikes in my collection. I found this bike back in 2011 which was owned by a collector who mostly collected old Harleys and British bikes. He said he had always been fond of the Kawasaki Rickman and after looking at better than a dozen of them this was the purest and the most documented bike he had seen or found. The bike was stored and not run since the late 1980,s. This is an early Rickman kit with a frame date of 12/74 and I have heard that there were approximately 168 of the early style kits. The body work including the tank is all fiberglass. The bike is also title as a Rickman not Kawasaki. Like I said I have all the documentation on this bike right down to the assembly tag and the complete shim kit for rear swing arm/chain adjustment. I am going to read off the build sheet below. Chassis: Nickel plated frame & swing arm made from Reynolds 531 manganese molybdenum tubing. Borrani aluminum alloy rims laced to Rickman Brothers own hubs carry Dunlop K-81 tires with Lockheed dual piston disc brakes front and rear. Front forks are Rickman with 40mm sliders. Rear shocks are Girling. Extensive use of heim joints and aircraft quality Nylok nuts. Body work is color impregnated fiberglass with a 4 gallon fuel tank and a 3/4 windscreen. This chassis has less than 500 miles of use on it, all done with stock engine. Frame # 4699m and engine # Z1E34787 Engine: Taken from a wrecked bike with less than 2000 miles, this engine has been professionally rebuilt as an 1105 cc motor, with a 10:1 compression ratio, RC forged aluminum pistons, RC Engineering competition ported and polished cylinder head, Norris 407s high performance camshafts with triple valve springs and titanium retainers. Engine has chrome moly cylinder studs, copper coated alloy head gasket, K+N air filters and a Winning Performance 4 into 1 exhaust system. Approximately 125 horsepower to the rear wheel via a Denselube super chain. I did completely disassemble the bike clean and polish the frame and engine. I did detail the engine and check all valve clearances. A list of new parts I have installed on the bike is, new D.I.D chain, Dunlop D 404 tires and new stainless steel Buchanan spokes, new sealed battery, rebuilt front and rear brake master cylinders as well as both calipers, new air filters and new windshiled. The bike has brand new decals and paint and was painted by a professional who has had more than a half dozen bikes on the cover of Bagger Magazine and the paint is show quality as is the bike. The bike has a full Yoshimura racing exhaust now but I have the original exhaust it was built with that needs re chroming. I also have the original tank strap and other parts. The engine has had less than 1500 on since it was built. The gauges are unrestored in mint condition with 3896 miles on the speedo. I restored the handlebar switches and they are both 74 coded. I have a file 1 1/2 inches thick with an invoice for everything done to this bike since it was built! The bike runs very strong and everything works as it should with no issues! This motor was built by Rc engineering and the legendary Russ Collins who built Craig Vetters Rickman when he raced as a novice in Daytona back in the mid 70,s and it goes like hell! The only small flaws are light pitting on the top caps of the front forks, small ding on the # 4 front exhaust pipe and a light scratch on the rear of the chain guard. The frame plating is still in very nice condition for its age. The bike is not perfect but I would rate it a 9 out of 10 and would steal the show in any vintage Japanese bike show! I have a clear Mass title that is ready for transfer into the new owners name. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. International bidders are welcome. Due to the age the bike is being sold as is. Thanks for looking! This bike is 1 of 77 Kawasaki Rickman CR kits that was produced in 1974. The inside of the gas tank is in good shape and has never had any ethanol fuel in it. I am running 108 octane race fuel in it currently. The original stock carbs were also gone through and are running 20 pilot jets and 122.5 main jets which seem to work pretty well. Thanks again for looking! http://northdenvernews.com/1978-rickman-cr900-for-sale-rickman-kawasaki-rickmankawasaki/ Wanted to share this link from North Denver news as they speak about how nice my Rickman was restored. But on the bad side the used the details/specs from another Rickman listed on ebay.

Typical XR Honda - starts right up even after months of being stored in the shed. Runs, idles, goes through the gears, just as it should. Modifications I've made to the bike: - Kawasaki KLX110 front forks...nothing too fancy about that. Just had the forks sitting around and thought it would be an interesting swap. - 1980 CR80 rear shocks...just like we used to do back in the day to our XR's. - "XR MiniRacer" Snake Pipe...makes a better sound than the stock pipe and looks trick. If you don't know who XR MiniRacer is, google his web site. The engine mounts are also a product from there. - CR125 side panels - I think they look better than the stock side panels - Uni Filter pod-style air filter...helps the engine breathe easier with the aftermarket pipe - I had the frame powdercoated and the tank repainted to give it more of a CR "racer" look - Engine was completely rebuilt and actually has very few miles on it. Like I was saying, my son outgrew it before he put many hours on it - The black paint you see on the engine is not just rattle-can heat paint. It's Gun Kote...which helps dissipate the heat from the engine. This is a great bike for a 7-10 year old beginner rider. That's why I built it, so my son could learn how to ride. He's just outgrown it. But if you know anything about these bikes, adults can ride them, too! Makes a great pit bike (we always had people coming up to check it out at the race track) or a bike for the wife/girlfriend to ride As far as delivery, I can probably deliver the bike within a 100 mile radius of Phoenix, Arizona. If we can come to an agreement on that. Otherwise, THE BUYER (that's you) will have to arrange for shipping/pick up. The description shows that I will ship out of the country and unfortunately, I do not know how to change that. I would rather not have to deal with shipping out of the country. But if you are buying from outside the Continental United States, be sure you have a company that will come to my house to pick up the bike and guarantee that the bike will be delivered to you unharmed. ALL FREIGHT COSTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. Once the wheels touch the freight carriers vehicle, that's where my responsibility ends! I'll try to add more pictures, if anyone needs to see more. Payment is to be by PalPal ONLY - unless you arrive at my door with cash in hand. Any emails about "I'll send you a check and have my agent pick up the bike" will be ignored/deleted. Thanks for looking! Message me if you have any questions not answered in my description!

After Worls War II, they began producing their own unit construction two-stroke engines, selling complete motorcycles. Maico made a brief foray into the automobile business with their own line of microcars in the late 1950s. Maico have also made go kart engines. The road motorcycles were named after winds... 'Blizzard', 'Typhoon' etc., but the company was better known for its purpose-built Motocross and Enduro machines, and for its 'Maicoletta' motor scooter, both of which sold in higher numbers than the road motorcycles. Maico Racing Motorcycles: Maico motocross (MC) and enduro (GS) racing models proved very successful in both European and American competition throughout the 1970s. While lacking the financial capital and big money race-team backing like that of the Japanese factories of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, Maico riders such as Adolf Weil, Ake Jonsson, and Willy Bauer proved to be a serious challenge to the Japanese factories and produced numerous top three finishes in the Motocross World Championships. The firm also experienced some success in Grand Prix road racing competitions with rider Borje Jansson winning three 125cc Grand Prix races between1972 and 1973. American publication Motocross Action called the 1981 Maico Mega 2 - 490cc the greatest open-class motocross bike of all time. The 1974.5 400cc and 440cc GP, 1978/79 250cc Magnum and 1981 490cc models along with any year 501cc motocross bike are also some of the most sought-after vintage MX and twin-shock motorcycles to this day. One of the visual modernizations of the Maico off-road motorcycles was the move from a "coffin" style tank in 1974 to a "teardrop" style tank in 1978/79 on bikes like the 250 Magnum. The bikes later moved to plastic tanks in 1980 with the Mega 490. One of the largest contributions to the world of motocross suspension technology came in the 1974 season when the Wheelsmith Motorcycles team in the USA and the Gunther Schier teams in Europe forward-mounted the rear shocks on the Maico factory-backed motorcycles, immediately increasing the travel and ability to trump the competition. This initiated a frantic effort on the part of factory teams and privateers alike; chopping up their frames in a desperate attempt to remain competitive. Maicowerk AG filed for bankruptcy in 1983, but continued to produce small numbers of motocross and enduro models (re-badged as M-Stars in the United States due to legal issues) up through 1986. Subsequent manufacturers have purchased the brand name and applied it to their own limited production motorcycles. Modern open-class dirt-bikes are still being produced under the Maico brandname. The ATK Intimidator dirt-bike (reportedly the most powerful production 2 stroke motorcycle available aside from Maico's own motorcycles) features a Maico motor. After the company went out of business in 1986, its assets were taken over by a Dutch company, but to this day retains a strong cult following. Many riders restore vintage Maicos for display or to take back to the track.
