These Bikes don't come up very often, which is why I bought this one two years ago as a restoration project.... Trouble is I have 14 other Shovelheads and I just don't have the room or time to give this bike the attention it deserves. Bike is original, complete and runs... has minor wiring issues from previous Nitwit ownership. Basically it needs a complete cosmetic restoration. Also needs Tires and a Battery. I'm not going to blather on about what the FXB Sturgis is or how rare it is .. if you're looking at this ad, you know what it is. Payment by Paypal only. Buyer pays all shipping costs. This is a good condition mostly stock FXB Sturgis. This (dusty) Sturgis is the stock black and orange colors, has a mustang seat and factory dual belt drive. Around 3500 FXB Sturgis models were built so they are fairly rare. This is a nice one. It has a S&S Super E carb, teardrop air cleaner, 2 into 1 factory exhaust and 93 inch stroker motor. Factory oil cooler is on the bike. This Sturgis was gone over completely by a Harley Shovelhead mechanic. Clock shows 26,xxx miles which can not be confirmed as it is 35 years old.

This is a rare machine in really good shape for its age. Bear in mind that it's 33 years old and has been driven, so it's not showroom. However, it has been in New Mexico and first titled here. This is good because vehicles don't rust or corrode in our dry air like they do in other places. I'm selling it with a clear title, for a 60 year old gentleman who "has too many bikes." I bought his 1991 Sturgis to keep for myself and it's cherry. This 1981 bike runs and drives good for an old Shovel. Shows 31,839 miles, but the title reads 08888888 code NM "not actual mileage." He said to the best of his knowledge the motor has never been apart, and that what is on the clock is the correct mileage. The seat, air filter cover, and mirrors are not original. It has an S&S carburetor. There are no turn signals on it. Engine and frame numbers match. No reserve...Bid, win, RIDE! Bike is in Albuquerque, NM. Please make arrangements to pay in full and pick it up within two weeks. I have never shipped a bike but that may be an option. Any shipping charges will be buyer's responsibility.
