This is a Honda CM400 Custom. It does have a clutch, (not to be confused with the''A' model/clutchless/auto). Neat, clean little grocery getter. Excellent starter/trainer bike and is easily resold when it's time to move up. Everything works as it should, it is all original, even the tool kit. Has the sliding backrest for rider/passenger with rack and zip pouch behind. Crash bars with pegs. Will cruise easily at 70mph on the I-state, but is a blast on the secondaries. I went through the bike over a 3-4 week period removing practically every part excluding motor, pipes and forks to clean, polish, replace and or repair as necessary. The bad: tank has tiny dings covered by WV stickers and the mufflers while sufficient do have some rust holes covered with aluminium tape, this doesn't in any way effect performance and can be easily slid off and replace with aftermarkets or oems. That's it. I'm in WV the bike is in VA near Cville. Thanks for your interest and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

1981 Honda Cm Series , It's with great sorrow that I'm listing my 1981 Honda CM400T for sale. I took ownership of this bike in November with the thought that I would restore it and start riding it in the summer. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to work on it (work has been kicking my butt) and so I want to get it to someone who will be able to finish restoring it and get it back on the road. Pics are attached, and here's what I've managed to do to it so far: * Replaced all oil/filters/fluids * Replaced tires (the ones on it are brand new) * Fixed electrics (light, turn signals) * New battery * Started tuning carbs * New spark plugs * Replaced fuel lines When I first got it, it wouldn't even start. Now it starts quickly but runs quite rich - after about half a mile or so of riding it's going to develop crud on the spark plugs and stop running. So that is one thing to note: it will take a little work to make it reliable. Additionally as you can see, the seat needs to either be reupholstered, replaced, or covered. There are covers for this bike on eBay for $50 or so. Some additional things will come with this bike: * Service Manual * Title (clean and in my name) * Single carb rebuild kit (normally costs ~$75) More than likely the bike just needs to have the carbs tuned and balanced (there are two of them), then you can start working on rechroming whatever you want and make this thing shine. Reasonable offers will be considered, but no financing. Trades will also be considered, but not for another motorcycle. $1,000.00

1981 Honda CM400C Custom. $1,400 Has 8,700 miles. Has brand new tires that was put on 2 years ago. It recently had a oil change along with the oil filter. It's in very good condition and even has the original tool set under the seat and I have a cover for it also. Has cruise control on the throttle, has a new battery and just needs a new speedometer and head light. Speedo and headlight went out on me last august. Haven't had time to get it fixed. I sill ride it down the road from my house every once in awhile just so it isn't sitting in the garage.

1981 Honda Cm Series 400A, This is a 1981 CM 400t that I bought at an auction a while back. Have all the paperwork to re-title it, so no worries there. I have gone through the bike completely. Everything has been rebuilt, repainted, or repaired. Runs very good. New speedo cable, spark plugs, oil change, handle bars and grips. Seat was professionally shaped and recovered. Everything works great. Starts up easily every time. 9K on the original bike. Rides very good. Really would like to keep it. This is a must see if you like the cafe/brat style of motorcycle. I will accept best offer. Thanks $3,500.00 9403005989

Condition:This was all built in 2010, and has been ridden pretty well. A few scuffs in the clear coat, and dust/dirt build up, but cleans up real nice. Small oil drip off the lower left side; it's been in the same spot now for 3 weeks and its about the size of a half dollar. Starts right up, it has a funk start sequence. Cover the left carburetor opening with your left hand, push button start, and twist a couple times, and vroom! Even after months of sitting in the winter this works every time. Features:Bike was a 1981 CM400A but after the frame modification I swapped a 1979 CM400E motor in it. Title in hand. Lots of custom parts: foot pegs, exhaust, seat, fender, sissy bar (with skateboard holder), tail lights, license plate holder, battery/electrical box, gas tank, handle bars, motor mounts. Top end (jugs) is black powder coated, bottom end (case) is shined up nice. Electric or Kick start. I also have some extra parts from before/wheels and exhaust. you can have those too. History:I started teaching welding in 2009, a few students wanted to do bobbers as projects, and as they built theirs I wanted to join in on the fun. I wanted to be creative and use the talents and resources I had. I found this bike as a local listing and proceeded to chop. I built, fabricated and welded the whole bike, The only original frame is the motor in part. I changed the tank to the coffin tank and switch the handle bars out a while later, I am selling now because I have more going on in my life as opposed to back a couple years. I have 2 kids and my wife and I are finishing graduate school. I hardly get a fee moment to ride it, and with the family my next project will be a buggy to ride all together. I just don't want it to sit any longer. Shipping and Payment:Buyer takes care of shipping, I figure something like U-Ship or another freight service. Once shipping is figured payment via paypal or Money Order or Cash on pick up. Once money is relieved. I'll start shipping. Or you could come and pick it up, trailer it back or ride it back home. The bike is just over 6' long, sissy bar is about 4' I'd say, and it's about 2' wide including the pegs. Weight is less than 400lbs. Questions, ask.

These bikes had a 395cc parallel twin engine that was air-cooled. Features included electric start and electronic ignition. The Honda CM series all generally resembled the older-style flat-seat bikes from the 60s and 70s, with the exception of a slightly raised passenger area seat and small plastic fairings for the battery and electrical. These are "standard" style motorcycles but do have some elements of the cruiser (stepped seat, increased fork angle, extra chrome). The CM400 series includes only a speedometer and three indicator lights (neutral, oil pressure, high beam) with a tachometer for the C and T models. The E (economy) model had wire wheels and drum brakes, while the others had "Comstar" alloy wheels and a front disk/rear drum braking setup. While not particularly powerful, the CM400's handling makes it one of the great starter bikes. Many engine components are common with the Honda CB400T models from the same year. The parallel twin engine has three valves per cylinder (two intake, one exhaust) and a five-speed manual or two-speed automatic transmission. In 1982, the CM engine was bored out to a 447 cc engine with six gears, and the series was renamed CM450. This beautiful 1982 Honda CM450 Custom near mint condition is 100% original except for the tires and has original tool pouch, Bike has electric starter starts on first time every time you crank it original California bike minimal rust.Bike runs really nice shifts through all six gears which includes the over drive six speed transmission.Breaks work the way they should work and stops on a dime.New tires, Original seat cover Front forks have air. Lets let the pictures do the talking the bike will sell its self.Everything works on the bike works like new, everything except the horn works.Any and all questions please feel free to contact me via email or call me at 559-500-8897
