Up for auction is a 1982 GS1100E(Z). I rescued it from a local garage, where it had been sitting for some years. I cleaned the carbs (which were not very dirty), installed a new battery and plugs, and it fired right up. It starts easily with no smoke, and when warmed up, settles into a nice idle. It shifts through all gears with lots of power. As far as I can tell, it has not been messed with. Airbox and pipes are original. All lights and electricals work, and the wiring appears untouched. Speedo and tach work, as well as all gauge lights, digital gear indicator, fuel gauge, and oil temp gauge. The charging system is also working well. I was told the clutch is fairly new. Side covers are missing some tabs. It hasn't leaked a drop in the time that I've run it, and makes no strange noises. Could benefit from some fine tuning and a carb sync. Odometer is working and shows 11,500 miles. It has a clean, matching numbers Ohio title. As is typical, the clear coating on the engine cases has seen better days. When stripped and polished, the appearance should improve greatly. There are a few small dents in the tank and some light rust inside, which should clean up easily or install a filter and don't worry about it. The paint has some scratches, I'd call it fair. I will attach large photos, so please study them carefully, and ask lots of questions. Known issues: Brakes drag slightly Tires have good tread but also sidewall cracking Speedo needle has a web on it Pipes have some blistering on bottom, but no holes Again, the bike has not been messed with, which makes it a great candidate for restoration or customization. 1982 Suzuki GS1100E,  The GS1000E has proved to be a very capable machine, with a strong engine and terrific handling. The engine benefits from a four valve per cylinder head, and had much more power than its predecessor, {the GS1000}. The 1100 is a Speed King. Power is spread across the rev range, and it can pull from as little as 2000rpm. The GS1100E retained the ergonomic features of the 1000, and it is a comfortable mile eater, as well as an eye opening performer. Power in 1982 was 86.67@8000rpm, with torque of 59.73@6500rpm. wet weight was 563.5lbs. The engine was breathed on and the styling changed to be reminiscent of the early-80's Katana's, combining speed with function and styling. Power in 1982 was 108bhp@8500rpm, with torque of 67.6@6500. Wet weight was 549lb's.

1982 GS1100E in really nice shape. This bike is fast. I drive it on the Hampton Roads interstates with no problems. It cruises well and is comfortable. The bike was refurbished in 2011 just before I purchased it. Clear title. The bike is in good condition but has minor cosmetic issues, and the standard things whenever you buy a used bike-- battery and tires. See the pictures. The only other issue is with the charging system. Last year, I put it on the trickle-charger once a week, and the bike worked great for local transport (about 3 mi each way) (but it needs a new battery right now; starts right up when hooked to a charger). I wouldn't take it on longer trips without diagnosing and fixing the charging system. It makes no mechanical noises—drives smooth and quiet. No noises, no rust in the gas tank. The Vance & Hines exhaust was on the bike when I bought the bike. The throttle response is instantaneous. This bike pulls extremely hard and makes lots of torque. 1982 Suzuki GS1100E Side Car, GS1100E Side Car Rig!!! Here is a one of a kind bike!! This set up is so cool, it was published in October 2009 Japanese Vintage Motorcycle magazine.It was also on display at the Chief Blackhwk motorcycle show/swap meet this last year. It has been a total restore and runs great!! It is a very unique, and an innovative design. The attached Vespa scooter is mounted on a hand made frame that is securely mounted with adjustable turn buckles. The side car wheel is a Suzuki GS wheel and fork set up, the brake, and front fender is also off of a Suzuki GS. Neat idea!! The brakes on the side car are set up on an adjustable proportioning valve. We are not a side car shop, so if this is to be ridden at high speeds it should be checked out by a real "side car guy". It has two steering stabilizers on it. The frame of the side car has been power coated black for a long life finish. The bike engine has been rebuilt with a close eye on detail, and now has a mild set of Web cams, and some sweet flat slide Mikuni carbs. It breaths through K&N air filters, and stock exhaust system, {not loud}. Tires are new Metzelers. The rear shocks are Works Performance. The fairing on the bike is an aftermarket BMW R1150R unit from Omar's in California. The rear seat cowl is a one of a kind Custom made by the fabricator. It would be no problem if you wanted to remove the cowl/seat set up and install the stock one, as no structural changes were done to the bike. This is truly a one of a kind unique bike. The bike is a true classic, add the sidecar hack and you have a cool, one of a kind rig!!!

The GS1100E is Suzuki's punched out liter bike using the first generation of the GSX engines that led to the GSXR racers that literally cleaned up on the race track. The GS1100E was the first large production liter plus bike designed with 16 valve cylinder heads and Suzuki's patented Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC). First introduced as the 1980 GSX1000S Katana styled by Hans Muth, the GS1100E enjoyed more subdued styling and was the "Motorcycle of the Year' from 1981 through 1983, faster and more comfortable than everything else on the road. The GS1100E was the first modern out of the crate production Superbike! Then and now, THIS is the bike to have for a daily driver or a weekend warrior. Vance and Hines four into one exhaust, OEM air box with a K&N air filter, good tires and a clear Texas title. Although this baby is 32 year old, she's a thouroughbred racehorse.
