I have a Museum Quality 1982 CBX (never restored or redone) The bike is perfect cosmetically and mechanically. Drive any where, needs nothing, a true collectors motorcycle. Has 11,950 miles but looks like 1,000 miles. Original owner from upper Wisconsin had stored this CBX inside his family room all these years!!!!! So this has no oxidation of gauges, scratches, all chrome is flawless !!! just amazing condition. It really looks like a new bike. The original owner was a single guy that was a Honda certified mechanic at a Honda Dealership that bought this new and stored it and kept it to be a future collector bike. So mechanically this CBX is dialed in perfect from him!! He even kept the original battery fluid container from honda when new. He took the original exhaust pipes off at 500 miles and saved them (saved the original bolts too) For a couple of years I have seen and searched for the perfect CBX's, I have seen many CBX's all over the country with very low miles (some with 2k,5k or 7k miles) before purchasing this CBX and none compared to this one. All of them were not stored in a climate controlled environment and have pitting, oxidation, dents, scratches or chips even with very low milage, they were not mint. I purchased this CBX last fall from the original owner. It is totally original and in mint condition as the original owner stated in his ad. Since I purchased the bike, I have replaced the original tires, installed new fork seals and added a NOS clock and NOS temperature gauge. I'm 65yrs old, 5ft 9in and the bike is just too big/heavy for me to ride safely, so unfortunately I must sell it.Instead of writing a new ad I'm going to include the original owners description from last fall. "Offered for sale here is one of the nicest, all original 1982 Honda CBX around. This is a one owner bike (me), with 2186 actual miles. All original and unrestored. I purchased this bike in 1985 brand new, rode it to my current house and have had it here ever since. It's always been covered and garaged, never been in the rain. I never rode it much (I rode enduros for 15 years, but wasn't much of road rider). I'm a retired mechanical engineer and have always kept it in tip top condition. In recent years only rode it 10 or so miles a year to keep everything in working order. No rust on the exhaust or in the tank. Seat is original an flawless. It was always wintered with stabilizer in a fresh tank of gas, then the gas drained a replaced in the spring before being run. It's had a few oil changes and oil filters and a few batteries and that's about it.The brake fluid was replaced with silicon fluid once and the plugs were replaced with Iridium plugs a few years ago.The original plugs will be included with the sale.The tires are original and have most of the tread remaining but show a little cracking from age; so the new owner will probably want to replace the tires before any serious riding is done.The title is clean and the original tool kit, air pressure gage and manual are included. The bike is not brand new, of course, but is almost as close to new as you will find. I would think this bike is museum quality and would be a treasured item in any collection. It is difficult for me to part with it but there comes a time when one must let it go. Whoever buys this bike will get a chance to experience one of the finest sport bikes ever designed; truly an engineering achievement - strong running, marvelously smooth and wonderful sounding." My husband(deceased 7/2/16) was the second owner of this CBX. It was his baby. He has owned it since 1993, it has always been stored inside. NEVER left out in the weather. He did not beat on his cbx although he would "get into it" at times. It has the standard fering and windshield, with the white paint job and blue striping. He added a stereo and speakers. The 6 carburetors were rebuilt in November of 2014 by a Honda dealer. There as less 30,000 miles orginal miles. He always rode it without the saddlebags, which are like new. He had been wanting to sell it before his death so that he could buy a spider as his failing health kept him from riding a motorcycle as heavy as his beloved CBX.Please do not try to take advantage of me as a grieving widow, I do not need the money. I'm the 3rd owner, having owned this motorcycle for the past 14 years. The bike has all of the original factory warning stickers, the factory tool kit and tire gauge. The bike has been meticulously maintained, for both operation and it's painted finish. The only part that could be improved is the rusted through hole in the bottom of the left muffler. It is currently covered using a stainless steel patch. Other than that the bike is flawless, and runs smoothly. It has 35,537 miles on it, which equates to a little over 1,000 miles per year of riding. Must be seen and ridden to be appreciated. TIMS has come across one of the "ORIGINAL TIMS CBX " cbxs, which was originally owned by tim ware ,the founder and previous owner of TIMS CBX -it comes with a copy of the original title,buyers sheet from the dealer where tim bought it, warranty card, original brochure and a few other nostalgic pieces -the bike runs great, has a corbin seat and backrest,a set of old school kerkers,stage 3 kit, and old school k/n air pods,lots of chrome everywhere and some of tim wares original billet parts, as well as TIMS exclusive dyna ignition coils and braided spark plug wires,progressive rear shock and front springs, it has a pingel dual outlet petcock ,13 row setrab oil cooler,superbrace,gold star billet chainguard,drag specialty blinkers,and all nuts and bolts were replaced with garner westcott allen bolts and acorn nuts where possible, and it had a valve adjustment in 1999 too--it was bought from tim back in 1999 and pretty much sat every since i was told until i got the opportunity to buy the bike recently--we went through the carbs brakes and the usuals for a sitting bike and cleaned it up to make her look great again--the speedo shows 23k on it but we ll know this is not correct as it is a 150 mph speedo and i dont know when it was installed so i dont know the actual miles but the title says 14k in 1999--everything works and its a pretty nice bike that you can ride anywhere or put it in your collection--the blinkers are not correct but since tim installed them i felt it only right to leave them as is---TIMS will assist with shipping anywhere in the world at the new owners expense--check our other auctions for more cool bikes and cbx parts--or call us at 1-877-timscbx if you have any questions--

First, go to Yoo Toob and type in cbx.avi to hear the exhaust it's awesome. This bike has been in my stable for a few years, in which I attempted to perfect it. The black paint is very nice save for one tiny (who gives a shit) ding on the tank that was there when I purchased it. The rear wheel has been widened and the swingarm lengthened to accomodate it. It has a lovely custom Corbin seat, I added the polished wheels from the '79. The 6x6 exhaust was custom made for the bike. I've always kept it in the best condition. It was just tuned by race mechanic Ronnie Lindley at Power Performance Perfection in Oceanside, Ca. Everything kept new. Nearly 15 grand invested. This bike is 50% custom, so please don't bust my cojones about concourse bs or " CBX correctness". Amigos, I'm old and don't take many prisoners. But, feel free to ask legit questions. The mileage listed is on the rebuild. Ronnie recently dynoed at 100 rwhp. The engine is tight as you can hear from the video clip.
