Good running, low mileage and fairly rare Hondamatic. I purchased it in Oct. 2009 from the original owner in Erie, Penn. Things I have done to the bike are oil changes every year, flushed the brake lines twice, lubed the frame, new battery and tires and replaced the fuel petcock. I had a professional bike mechanic clean & rebuild the twin carbs. There are some chips in the paint on the tank & one side cover. The chrome front fender shows some wear & the clear coat on the front fork bottoms is worn down in a few spots. The electronics all work perfect except for the above mentioned 2nd gear indicator light that doesn't show when you shift into 2nd. I bought the bike at age 55 with only 200 miles on it and I've been the only rider. It's been driven conservatively and always kept in a insulated attached garage. Help with local delivery is available. We are a non-smoking household and thank you for viewing my item.

This 34 year old beauty has been FULLY RESTORED to show room condition! It is a 1982 Honda CM 450 A (automatic) that we need to sell. This bike has 11,757.7 miles on it. It has only 580 miles on it since it was restored. Oil was changed at the 500 mile break in period on the engine. It has been garage kept and well loved! Anyone who appreciates the older Honda's knows this would be a wonderful addition to their collection or an awesome starter bike! We have a CD with all of the parts/process of it being restored and the original book is included as well. Would consider trade for a trike (or bike with a trike kit) in good to fair condition. It has one part that is NOT factory - a Screaming Banshee Horn, though the factory horn is still on the bike and is functional. Will ship if you pay for shipping.

These bikes had a 395cc parallel twin engine that was air-cooled. Features included electric start and electronic ignition.The Honda CM series all generally resembled the older-style flat-seat bikes from the 60s and 70s, with the exception of a slightly raised passenger area seat and small plastic fairings for the battery and electrical. These are "standard" style motorcycles but do have some elements of the cruiser (stepped seat, increased fork angle, extra chrome). The CM400 series includes only a speedometer and three indicator lights (neutral, oil pressure, high beam) with a tachometer for the C and T models. The E (economy) model had wire wheels and drum brakes, while the others had "Comstar" alloy wheels and a front disk/rear drum braking setup. While not particularly powerful, the CM400's handling makes it one of the great starter bikes. Many engine components are common with the Honda CB400T models from the same year. The parallel twin engine has three valves per cylinder (two intake, one exhaust) and a five-speed manual or two-speed automatic transmission. In 1982, the CM engine was bored out to a 447 cc engine with six gears, and the series was renamed CM450.
