A Great Running, Burgundy,1982 Honda GL500 SilverWing Interstate.Water Cooled,Shaft Drive,Fully Dressed from Honda's Factory.Windshield Deflectors & Mud Flaps were added,along with Engine Bars & Highway Pegs.. The Engine is Sound,Good Clutch,Tires are fairly New,so is the Battery.I have a Replacement Front Seat with no Rips.The backrest Pad was just replaced also.Has factory Air Ride Suspension.The front Calipers were rebuilt before I got it,but they need to be bled.There are not many of this Model Bike for Sale.Took me a while to find one that wasn't noisy,and falling apart. I bought this Running Bike and ended up having Health Issues.I put it away,after filling it with Premium Fuel & added Fuel Stabilizer,ran it through the Carburetors,covered it,four months ago,uncovered it today,10/05,and it Started right up!It was on the Center stand so I Ran it through the Gears,no problems.The pictures were taken 10/05.Has only 34k miles. You can ride it as-is,and or ride it while getting her looking new.She's worth it,it's my 2nd SilverWing,and I'll tell you,she needs someone that's into Bikes & TLC. This is Possibly the Lowest Mileage Silverwing on the Planet! It is in Good Condition for its age. Before I got it, it had been sitting for 20-25 years, In an Actual Barn. Truly! I did get the Silverwing running. The carbs do still need to be cleaned. If I have time here over the next week, I will take the carbs off and clean them before the bike is sold. The Clutch and Brakes seem to be good but obviously after sitting so long, I would suggest that the Tires get changed. I believe that the Tires on the bike are Original as with everything else on the Bike. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: THIS BIKE IS IN NEED OF SOME REPAIRS, SOLD 'AS IS'!! BIKE STARTS UP AND CAN BE RIDDEN BUT NEEDS REPAIRS TO MAKE IT ROADWORTHY!! I have for sale a 1982 Honda Silverwing Interstate GL500, Moto Guzzi engine. Bike is in fair to good condition with 19,754 ( has been test driven since, maybe 10 miles more)original miles on it. This seems to be a fair to slightly low average mileage, judging by other bikes for sale. Bike has clear title.I have owned it for about 7 years. It has the Large rear truck/Back rest and also has Passenger Seat. Three removable compartments for trips. Has a new battery. The bike engine starts up but runs a little rough. Shifts smoothly. There is a small oil leak . Radio and all lights work. Tires are okay for several hundred miles more. It has not been ridden for over 6 months. A mechanic has recommended the following repairs/upkeep: Cleaning the gas tank and carburetor, new gasket for oil leak. I do ask: If possible prospective buyers must come to see and drive the bike in person or send a friend or agent. ALL REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED!!. This is a 30 year old bike. It has several scuffs and scratches here and there. It has a little damage on the fairing edge. There are no dents and basically the engine is sound. I also have an Owners Service Manual that goes with the bike and a helmet that matches the bike color. If fixed up, you would have a super bike, worth a lot more. The Kelley Blue Book on this bike in very good condition is $1575.00. For the price, even in it's present condition, it is a great touring bike. This bike is a 1982 Honda Silverwing GL500 in very good condition for its age. Starts and runs great! Has a brand new Interstate Battery. Had the seat and rear cushion custom re-covered by a local upholstery shop, so it's better than a new seat. Engine has about 24K on it and runs awesome! As you can see by the pictures it is in good shape and does have some cosmetic flaws, but overall in great shape. The only issue it has is that the temperature gauge sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. It appears to be a loose connection. Tires are in good condition. All fluids were changed within the past 6 months. No leaks anywhere. Overall good bike for cruising around and having a good time for not a lot of money. These are getting harder and harder to find in good condition. Most of them are pretty thrashed now. This bike will easily go another 75K miles and probably more. I also have a parts bike that I would sell with it as well for an additional $250.00. If you are going to come and pick it up then that would work out well. Parts bike has a complete engine and carbs. Rolling chassis. If interested I can give more details on that as a separate topic. The last 4 pictures are of the parts bike.

BIKE SOLD AS IS!!!! Pleases review all information very carefully and ask any questions you may have.I have for sale a 1982 Honda Silverwing Interstate GL500. Bike is in good condition with 19,754 original miles on it. This seems to be a fairly average mileage, judging by other bikes for sale. Bike has clear title.I have owned it for about 8 years. It has the Large rear truck/Back rest and also has Passenger Seat. Has a new battery. Bike starts right up every time and runs perfectly. Shifts very smooth. Doesn't smoke or use any oil. No leaks . Radio, and all lights work. Tires are okay for several hundred miles more. I do urge prospective buyers to see and drive the bike in person if possible. ALL REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED!!. This is a 30 year old bike. It has several scuffs and scratches here and there. It has some damage on the front right on the fairing( see last pic-splashes of water visible from cleaning). A small tear - about 1 1/2" - along the seat seam. There are no dents and, most importantly the engine is sound. I also have an Owners Service Manual that goes with the bike and matching mans helmet. If the cosmetic problems were fixed you would have a super bike, worth a lot more. For the price, even in it's present condition, it is a great touring bike. I have a 1982 Honda GL500 Silverwing Interstate for Sale. It has 33, 000 miles on it at the posting. This is a neat classic bike. It has Fiberglass detachable saddle bags that can double as suit cases. It also has a detachable trunk that rides behind the driver in the single rider format. If you have 2 riders, the trunk pops off and the seat expands to a 2 rider configuration. It is a very versatile bike! It is in good shape. The paint is not peeling and all of the controls, systems and parts work. It is not a perfect 10, I would say a 7 or 8. I am asking $1550.00 for this classic collector bike. The bike is sold "as is" with no implied or expressed warranties.

1982 Honda GL500 Interstate Silverwing for sale. Title in hand. Just under 27000 miles. I bought it from the original owner about 500 miles ago. Has been used for a commuter bike. Within the last 300 miles, all fluids have been changed (engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, gear oil) and carbs have been professionally cleaned. Other work completed- front fork springs replaced, new head bearing installed, new speedometer cable, new spark plugs and wires. As far as I can tell, this bike is good to go. Includes shop manual, extra fairing and parts, taller windshield and back seat with back rest . Some interesting features include locking removable hard bags, air adjustable shocks and shaft drive (no chain or belt).

1982 Honda GL500 Interstate Silverwing in great shape. Fall riding weather is here, and I cannot think of a nicer way to cruise the back-roads than with this sweet bike. I brought this bike unsure if I would keep it or make some repairs and flip it. Under other circumstances, I would not part with it, as I like it that much. It's light enough to be nimble around town, yet has the stones for the open road with hard bags full of gear. It needs nothing and is ready to ride as-is. The left fork seal is just starting to seep (fairly normal given the age). I have a set of seals and may put them in if time permits (price will adjust accordingly). Here are some specifics: -2 cylinder -500cc -5 speed -shaft drive (smooth and reliable) -liquid cooled -full hard bags and trunk (hard bags detach very easily) -new rear tire, front is 50% -fresh oil and filter change -nearly new front brakes -new windshield -comes with Clymer manual and cover -Clear title in hand Price is $1800 cash, negotiable.
