I have my 1982 Yamaha Turbo Seca XJ650LJ for sale. Its in good running and looking condition as the pictures show. If you are not familiar with turbo bikes, back in the early 80's these bikes were the latest craze, an attempt to get large amounts of horsepower from smaller power plants, like this 650cc. They didnt go over well as to the high price tag when new, and the word "Turbo" made your insurance rates go up. I bought this bike because I love rare vehicles in general, its a blast to ride and watch the turbo boost gauge rise and feel the kick in seat when it does. I dont know if I would call this a "beginners bike" as it is a little scary because it is fast, but more so the handling is of 1982 technology, as well as the brakes. It has a rear drum brake, and the factory single piston front calipers so it does not stop on a dime as today's modern bikes do, especially when the turbo boost hits and you have to slow the bike in a hurry, it can be scary! But dont get me wrong, the bike is a lot of fun, just be aware that this machine may not be for everyone. Its comfort level in riding possition is like that of a sport touring bike though. I recently have changed the oil, replaced the fork seals, cleaned the carburetors, etc. The bike is 30 plus years old, but operates as it should, however occassionally the left turn signal will not blink (stays on solid), the fuel gauge reads empty sometimes when its full of gas and once in a while the tachometer seems slow to react to change in engine speeds. The bike also has a modern aftermarket fuel shutoff installed. These bikes can be quirky and not many people know much about them at bike shops anymore, and they are fairly complex, there is however a whole online community dedicated to these nostalgic turbo motorcycles though that has helped me with an issue or two since owning it. I would recommend anyone interested in it to contact me either thru this ad or by phone at 717 265 5121 (no texts please, call) and come and check it out in person so you know what you are buying. I made and posted a video of it on youtube it can be found by searching: mr170578vxa turbo seca for sale Although its in good condition, again it is over 30 years old, im selling it AS IS.

The Yamaha CV80 is an 80cc 2-stroke scooter that was produced from 1981 to 1987 and was sold all over the world, including Canada, USA, Holland, Belgium, Sweden and Japan. The CV80 was sold under several names worldwide including “Beluga” (Japan, Canada, Europe), Riva 80 (USA), CV80 (USA and elsewhere) and City CV 80 (Europe). It was also sold in Europe under the Hercules badge instead of Yamaha. The CV80 was sold in Canada from ’82 - ’87 and in the USA from ’83 - ’87. With its 1982 introduction in Canada, the Beluga (and it’s 50cc Salient sibling) became the first modern Japanese scooters to be sold in North America. Motor The Riva 80 was powered by an air cooled, 80cc 2-stroke engine that featured a number of innovations that are now commonplace amongst modern scooters. These innovations were electric start, auto-choke, oil injection (2-stroke) and the CVT transmission. Do not miss your chance to own a piece of world history! BET YOU DON'T HAVE ONE OF THESE!!! I have a very rare 1983 Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo with OEM hard saddlebags for sale. Bike is in excellent condition and I would not hesitate to ride it anywhere. It is 100% complete, new tires, steel braided brake lines, E.B.C. brake pads, Euro Gauge cluster that goes up to 150 miles per hour. (U.S. models only went up to 85). This is a real head turner and would make a nice addition to your collection. Cycle World, June 1981Hot on the heels of Honda's CX500 Turbo, the Yamaha 650 Seca Turbo, despite its futuristic looks, was something totally different. With air instead of water cooling, four instead of two cylinders, and, interestingly of all, pressurized carbs in place of fuel injection, the blown Seca took an entirely different approach to what a turbocharged motorcycle should be.Many expressed doubts as to the durability of an air-cooled engine under duress of a turbocharger; those reservations would prove unfounded (80,000+ mile Seca Turbos that have never had major engine work or even blown a turbocharger are quite common). The pressurized carbs worked very well ("Best carbureted bike I've ever ridden" -- Bob Miller, President, T.M.I.O.A.).'82 Seca Turbos suffered from weak performance when they were initially introduced. Tired of being embarrassed by Honda CX500 Turbos in head-to-head tests Yamaha rushed out a "Power-Up" kit (free of charge!) that consisted of an inline boost pressure sensor/restrictor that fooled the turbo into thinking boost was lower than it was, and a washer that you stuck at the end of your right-side turbo exhaust muffler to increase back pressure. Both measures were designed to increase boost pressure and keep it in the cylinders longer. Peak boost went from an anemic 7 psi to a respectable 12 psi. The bad news for '82 Seca Turbo owners ('83 models came with the modification) is that Yamaha ran out of the kits in 1985. The good news is that you don't need it. Simply disconnect the vacuum hose leading to the wastegate actuator, clamp it shut, close up the hole in the actuator and experience the thrill of 14 psi. The poppet valve in the surge tank now serves as your "wastegate" to keep the engine from exploding. This also solves the problem of turbocharger wastegates failing to close, a common cause of power loss in Yamaha Turbos (blame it on the placement of the unit under the engine where it collects all sorts of road debris). The Power-Up Kit, thicker forks and a larger 5-gallon gas tank in 1983 helped sales somewhat, but a price drop to $3100 in 1984 (an '82 could be had for $2800) helped more to clear the floors of unwanted Seca Turbos. Average Seca Turbos go for $2,500-3,500. Low mileage bikes bring about $3,500 to $4,500 today. Showroom/museum examples may fetch $5,000, but Seca Turbos in such a state are extremely rare. '83 models, with their 1mm thicker forks and 1 gallon larger gas tanks bring more due to rarity and production numbers.

I HAVE LISTED THIS SUPER NICE CRUISER TWO TIMES TO MAKE SURE POTENTIAL BIKE BUYERS ARE INFORMED OF THE REAL DEAL HERE AND ESP THIS CRUISER WITH ITS ABILITY AND SMOOTHNESS FOR A LARGE 98hp CRUISER. I DO NEED TO SELL TO SEND GRAND-KIDS TO DISNEY WORLD SOON. I AM LOOKING AT A TRIKE IN THE FALL AT AGE 63 NOW. As a 32 year long biker i can say i have driven them all and this cruiser is a big surprise. it is fast, smooth, easy to drive for a big cruiser. the seat seats low and the foot gears/brake is perfect. i am 5'10" tall and its fits great. if you are at least 5'8" tall to 6'4" tall it fit great. You want to be able to place both feet firmly on the ground as with any bike really. If you have driven at lest a 750cc cruiser for like 6 months you can drive and have fun with this larger cruiser no problem. Do not be afraid to buy it because of the 1900cc 98HP motor. It drives much less as far as handling in concerned. The seat is like 27.5" tall and the center of gravity of the larger motor is placed in a way where you have a true balance of the bike at all times and stopping is easy as a 750cc shadow. Several motorcycle publications rated it number one cruiser for 2009 and I can understand why they did it myself as a biker with like 100,000 mile of biking under my belt. If you going to spend 7k for a bike get one that has the power, ease to drive, looks and smoothness that is fuel injected. Carb bikes are a pain in the butt esp if you want or have aftermarket exhaust on them. I had my share of them. Choppers, Customs, Trikes, 12 Harley's etc. This is one of the best ever. Take it to the bank. I look upon this ad as a bike history lesson to potential buyers. I been there done that on bikes from 450cc to two 1900cc bikes including American Horse Texas Chopper, Jesse James Chopper, many Harley's and tons of Japan bikes. I am not saying to you potential bikers you do not have any experience with bikes. Everyone has their own thing going, just saying I biked at least 100,000 miles since 1982 and at 63 have most all makes and models figured out better than any bike dealer salesman for sure. There are currently like 10 Raiders on E-Bay. Mine is the best looking, best loaded one, lowest miles for the $ and is the lowest price one and is the high value top of the line model CYS.C . It cost much more than the standard Raider See NADA model (most of time this model goes for $8500 to $9500) Do not let the 2008 model sometimes list for the same $ convince you its a better deal, it is not. The NADA list the value to each model of the Raider. Please research it for yourself you spend you hard earned money. ANYWAY BE THAT AS IT IS. extras: COBRA Turn Down High Performance Exhaust. Sounds super good but not really loud ($650) As New YAMAHA Factory Fork Mounted Shield with a built in lock system on it in case you park in a bad area on the road and they can not steal a expensive shield ($450) As New. LEATHER Custom Made Wide Seat for your butt esp on long trips. Can not beat it. Best I ever seen. I like it better than the Mustang Seat (Had 5 or so of those on bikes over the years) ($600) As new YAMAHA Factory Alarm System ($250) New never used LOL. YAMAHA Factory Sissy Bar with custom Leather Pad ($200) As New AVON High End top line Hand Grips with Palm Assist so you can do away with eh death grip on long runs. Rest your throttle hand ($150) OK as you see this cruiser not only looks great, is the best and most expensive model sold in 2009 it has super nice as new upgrades that you want for this cruiser. You rally need nothing at all. Ready to roll from FL to Canada and crusie at 80MPH with a passener and gear without a wimper. DO NOT LOOSE THIS CRUISER, IT IS A FINE HIGH PERFORMANCE MACHINE.call me/text me or e-mail me asap. EIGHT FIVE ZERO FIVE ZERO ONE TWO EIGHT TWO ZERO. Located Penascola FL. Come down visit the PNS or Navarre Beach for a day and drive the bike or trailer it home. I love this bike on the interstate. It so much fun passing up the big 18 wheeler s LOL. You can ship this bike just about anywhere for like $500. You still be getting it $2000 under market. I will assist on that as much as I can. Clear Lien Free title in hand. I am Retired Army, 100% E-Bay feedbacks of 501 or so. Have a great day. Hope you get it you be a very happy biker. RIDE TO LIVE LIVE TO RIDE
