Custom black paint has some minor blemishes and scratches but looks great overall; see photos. Many new parts including handlebar control switches, air filter, fuel and oil lines, plugs, wires, fresh oil & filter headlight lens. Includes LePera and Mustang seats, back seat/pad, original backrest mount, tour pack/mount, new front & rear rotors. Also comes with Stock and custom windshields, original front fender, fairing lowers (installed), 2 in to 1 header and muffler (installed) and black drag pipes. I went thru this bike before listing to make sure it is road ready.I KNOW ITS HARD TO BID ON A BIKE BEFORE SEEING IT SO I WILL TRY TO DISCRIBE IT AS ACURATE AS POSIBLE. THE GOOD AND THE BAD. -CLEANED CARB AND INSTALLED NEW AIR CLEANER -INSTALLED TWO BRAND NEW DUNLOP TIRES WITH 0 MILES ON THEM. -INSTALLED BRAND NEW BATTERY. LESS THAN A WEEK OLD. -CHANGED ALL BRAKE FLUID -CHANGED OIL AND FILTER -CHANGED TRANSMISION OIL -NEW DRIVE CHAIN NOW FOR THE BAD STUFF, IT HAS A SMALL HOLE IN THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SEAT (SEE PICTS.)ABOUT THE SIZE OF PENCIL ERASER THERE IS A DENT ON THE UPPER LEFT SIDE OF THE TANK ABOUT 2 INCHES ROUND. ALSO HAS CUSTOM PIN STRIPING ON THE ORIGINAL FACTORY PAINT. THERE ARE A FEW PAINT CHIPS HERE AND THERE, THE CHROME IS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. 1983 Harley Davidson FXR - Shovel Head – 5 speed – Original - $8,500 The 1983 FXR offered a rubber-mounted engine, chain drive and a five-speed transmission, as opposed to the solid mounting and four-speed transmission of the original FX chassis. The following Dyna series design was changed to offer only two rubber mounts resulting in poorer vibration control, but speedier production. Therefore the FXR is considered to be superior in acceleration, vibration control and handling to the models both before and after it. This was basically Harley Davidson’s answer to intense competition to Japanese manufacturers at the time.***speedometer was replaced so the mileage showing is not accurate***
