1983 FXSB. Clear title in my name, current registration and matching numbers.   Just over 1500 miles on fresh top end. Fresh means new S&S jugs, Weisco 8.5:1 pistons, and S&S heads. Rocker arm spacers were counterbored for end play, not shimmed. Everything assembled with Cometic MLS gaskets. Vulcan hydraulic lifters and rebuilt oil pump. Brand new LePera seats. Pughco drags with KW baffles. All new Russell stainless floating brake discs. Rebuilt calipers and new pads. Rod shake and up/down movement was absolutely perfect when checked 1,500 miles ago. Has S&S E carb, Andrews J cam. Brand new head to tail wiring harness. All factory connectors and colors. New Pirelli tires. All new bearings - neck, wheels, swing arm, outer primary, inner primary. 4 speed rotary close ratio 3rd, 2.44:1 1st gear - rebuilt with ALL Andrews gears and shafts. BDL Competitor clutch. This bike came from the factory with primary and final belt drive. The original primary drive was upgraded to the BDL pulleys. Final drive was upgraded to the BDL transmission pulley, but maintains the stock ratio. Bike needs nothing. Paint is poor on tanks as you can see in pictures. Hipsters pay big bucks to get new paint jobs to look like this. Bike vibrates less than most Evos. Rides straight and smooth.

This is an FXSB, factory low-rider. Not a B conversion I worked hard to restore her to factory stock as the modified customs were saturating the market and a stock motorcycle became the black sheep. Being this is so rare it was a great choice! For starters, the tranny is a well rebuilt four speed but can be upgraded to a five in a four case even though some people aren't aware that it can be and will say it can't. A prospective buyer told me that he heard that parts are not available for the old shovels and that is not true. Just look up shovelhead in eBay and you can see what is there. Chrome specialties and other catalogs still show parts as well. There is not a part on this bike I can't find and much NOS is still available. The replacement parts these days are better manufactured than the original ones were manufactured back in the day. She is not an AMF but has many highly sought after AMF stuff left on her such as the rims, swing arm, controls, etc.. I just noticed that the battery box is not in the pic but I have a chrome box with lid and strap. Has many upgrades like adjustable push rods and hydraulic lifters, polished and ported heads & polished intakes, S&S Super B with turbulator and upgraded pickup tube, solid state ignition wired for single fire, twin console that has NOS factory blue high beam jewel not the red replacement found in catalogs. That was hard to locate. Located and installed original 8mm setup with clutch basket, pulley. and new belt. It took two years to find those parts but did. This is a very fast motorcycle I just don't have the time that it deserves. Plus I need a down payment for a house, I have five vehicles and something has to give. Your getting more than your paying for, a lot more. And easily will be ready for riding with a little work. I mean it is a Harley, can be rebuilt in your living room like back in the day. no computers, just fuel kick and go! Unknown miles but when the heads were off. I carefully scraped all the carbon off the pistons and lip was removed, and vacuumed as I went. The carbon was surprisingly light and had little rim on the cylinders. This is one sweet old school machine with all matching numbers and clear Texas title. I had spent 4500 on the restore with just the few things I dreamed of doing left to go, like a five in a four speed with a 3" BDL belt drive, when by advice I changed the oil with the recommended 60 weight by the local Harley shop. The oil pump was the only thing I didn't replace and the older motorcycles shouldn't use the 60 as they are air cooled and perform better with regular 30 or 40 depending on the time of year. The oil pump failed to extract oil from the case and it is full of oil. The gaskets are saturated but the lower end has been protected by the oil. This did not occur while riding it and the motor is free and turning. Though it wont take much to get it up and running again. I have hit a wall in spending money on her, If she were up I would not be selling her.

The FXR Super Glide II was introduced in 1982 and sold alongside the existing FX models. The FXR chassis was essentially an FLT Tour Glide chassis with lighter frame tubes and a more conventional design around the steering head. As such, it offered a rubber-mounted engine and a five-speed transmission, as opposed to the solid mounting and four-speed transmission of the original FX chassis. The FXR range was expanded in the same year by the introduction of the FXRS Low Glide, which was the FXR equivalent of the FXSB Low Rider, and next year with the FXRT Sport Glide in 1983, a Super Glide variant with a fairing and saddlebags, and the . Upon the discontinuation of the corresponding FX-based models, the FXR Super Glide II became the FXR Super Glide and the FXRS Low Glide became the FXRS Low Rider. The Wide Glide was discontinued because the FXR frame was not suitable for the wide forks.
