BOUGHT FROM A FRIEND THAT HAD THE BIKE IN INSIDE STORAGE FOR MANY YEARS. PLANNED TO CONVERT IT INTO A BOBBER STYLE MOTORCYCLE BUT NEVER GOT AROUND TO IT. I RODE THIS BIKE TO AND FROM THE TRAIN EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS. ONLY 1.0 MILES AWAY. JUST BOUGHT A CAR AND MAKING ROOM IN THE GARAGE FOR CAR # 2.I PAINTED IT WITH BLACK MAT PLASTI DIP WHICH PEELS OFF EASILY. ALSO, I CHANGED THE HANDLE BARS. IF YOU WANT ORIGINAL PARTS I STILL HAVE THEM. STARTS RIGHT UP & RUNS GREAT! AWESOME ENGINEERING. Honda V65 Magna Claimed power: 116hp @ 9,500rpm Top speed: 137mph (period test) Engine: 1,098cc liquid-cooled DOHC 90-degree V4 Weight: 618lb (wet) Price then/now: $3,898/$2,000-$4,000Landmark. Watershed. Call it what you will, Honda’s 1983 V65 Magna marked a major departure in motorcycle design. For the first time, a Japanese motorcycle maker’s fastest, most powerful motorcycle had pull-back handlebars and its footpegs well in front of the seat. The Power Cruiser had been born.Sure, Harley-Davidson had been making foot-forward cruisers just about forever, and Yamaha had introduced the “special” stepped-seat, beach-bar look in the late Seventies, but it was Big Red that put serious power in the picture. The Honda V65 Magna was built around a 65ci double overhead cam V4 that delivered more than 100 horsepower to the back wheel, propelling the muscular missile to sub-11-second standing quarters at nearly 125mph.Not every pilot could pull off that party-piece, though. A 45/55 front-to-rear weight bias and laid-back riding position meant keeping the front wheel down was a challenge. And if the road threw you a curve, the lazy 30-degree rake, 63-inch wheelbase and light front end meant vague steering and a tendency to run wide. With the rider’s weight mainly butt-supported, road imperfections could jar the spine, while dialing back the fully adjustable twin shocks invited jacking from the shaft final drive. And although the thrust of the big V4 was seductive, it wasn’t all plain sailing: In city riding, Cycle magazine’s March 1983 test found a combination of too much driveline lash and under-damped CV carbs made for a “low-speed, jerk and lurch routine.” Even so, Cycle said it was the engine that was by far “the V65’s best feature, and motorcyclists who buy the V65 on looks will quickly find themselves enchanted by the 1100’s performance.” The source of this excitement was a 1,098cc liquid-cooled, 90-degree V4 with four overhead camshafts. Each pair of camshafts was driven from the center of the four-main-bearing crank by its own chain, opening four valves per cylinder at a narrow (for the time) 38-degree included angle via screw-adjustable rockers. Primary drive was by straight-cut gears using a split gear on the crankshaft to reduce lash and gear noise and a semi-slipper, diaphragm-spring clutch that allowed half of the plates to release during over-aggressive downshifting. A 6-speed gearbox (five plus overdrive, said Honda) drove the back wheel via two bevel gears and a shaft. The powerhouse breathed through four 36mm Keihin CV carbs drawing from an airbox set in a recess cut into the gas tank. This compromised fuel space, requiring a second tank hidden under the seat and fed by an electric pump. Not surprisingly, perhaps, all this performance and complexity came at a price: Ridden enthusiastically, the Magna’s fuel consumption could drop into the low 30s, and with just 4.5 gallons of fuel in both tanks (and no fuel gauge or reserve tap — just a low-fuel warning light) an unprepared rider could get caught short — including Cycle World’s April 1983 tester, who found out the hard way and had to push the big brute home.

BET YOU DON'T HAVE ONE OF THESE!!! I have a very rare 1983 Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo with OEM hard saddlebags for sale. Bike is in excellent condition and I would not hesitate to ride it anywhere. It is 100% complete, new tires, steel braided brake lines, E.B.C. brake pads, Euro Gauge cluster that goes up to 150 miles per hour. (U.S. models only went up to 85). This is a real head turner and would make a nice addition to your collection. Cycle World, June 1981Hot on the heels of Honda's CX500 Turbo, the Yamaha 650 Seca Turbo, despite its futuristic looks, was something totally different. With air instead of water cooling, four instead of two cylinders, and, interestingly of all, pressurized carbs in place of fuel injection, the blown Seca took an entirely different approach to what a turbocharged motorcycle should be.Many expressed doubts as to the durability of an air-cooled engine under duress of a turbocharger; those reservations would prove unfounded (80,000+ mile Seca Turbos that have never had major engine work or even blown a turbocharger are quite common). The pressurized carbs worked very well ("Best carbureted bike I've ever ridden" -- Bob Miller, President, T.M.I.O.A.).'82 Seca Turbos suffered from weak performance when they were initially introduced. Tired of being embarrassed by Honda CX500 Turbos in head-to-head tests Yamaha rushed out a "Power-Up" kit (free of charge!) that consisted of an inline boost pressure sensor/restrictor that fooled the turbo into thinking boost was lower than it was, and a washer that you stuck at the end of your right-side turbo exhaust muffler to increase back pressure. Both measures were designed to increase boost pressure and keep it in the cylinders longer. Peak boost went from an anemic 7 psi to a respectable 12 psi. The bad news for '82 Seca Turbo owners ('83 models came with the modification) is that Yamaha ran out of the kits in 1985. The good news is that you don't need it. Simply disconnect the vacuum hose leading to the wastegate actuator, clamp it shut, close up the hole in the actuator and experience the thrill of 14 psi. The poppet valve in the surge tank now serves as your "wastegate" to keep the engine from exploding. This also solves the problem of turbocharger wastegates failing to close, a common cause of power loss in Yamaha Turbos (blame it on the placement of the unit under the engine where it collects all sorts of road debris). The Power-Up Kit, thicker forks and a larger 5-gallon gas tank in 1983 helped sales somewhat, but a price drop to $3100 in 1984 (an '82 could be had for $2800) helped more to clear the floors of unwanted Seca Turbos. Average Seca Turbos go for $2,500-3,500. Low mileage bikes bring about $3,500 to $4,500 today. Showroom/museum examples may fetch $5,000, but Seca Turbos in such a state are extremely rare. '83 models, with their 1mm thicker forks and 1 gallon larger gas tanks bring more due to rarity and production numbers.

1984 Honda CB700SC Nighthawk 700 S, An American Hot Rod - Honda marketed the CB700SC (also called Nighthawk 700S) in the US from 1984 to 1986, configuring the bike's specification to avoid a 1983 US tariff on motorcycles over 700 cc. Motorcycle Classics magazine dubbed the CB700SC Nighthawk 700 S "An American Hot Rod." The Nighthawk S features a 700 cc engine, shaft drive and hydraulic lifters in a bike with angular lines, a small "bikini" fairing and a 16-inch front wheel more typical of a sport bike. The exhaust is a four-into-two finished in black chrome. The engine is enameled mostly in black with brushed satin silver trim. Other components are also enameled in black including the lower fork legs, handlebars, and rear grab rails. 28,264 miles on the clock. 95% Original. Not pristine, but very clean. Some fading, scrapes and scratches (See Photos) Shaft drive. Hydraulic lifters - never need adjustment. Seat has been re-covered with good quality aftermarket cover. 1982 Honda Custom , 1982 Honda Urban Express Moped. 50cc.. Garaged. In near "New" condition. Runs Perfect. 1,500 original miles. Well cared for. 100 MPG Great for Production Design, Photo or Commercial use. Or just a Great Vintage scooter to get around town on. More Info: The Honda Express or Honda NC50 is a scooter made by Honda between 1977 and 1983. Variants include the Express, Express II, Express SR and Urban Express. All versions of the Express line are powered by an air-cooled 49cc two Stroke engine coupled to an automatic transmission. The Honda motorcycle corp. of Japan released the Honda Express (NC50) to the North American market in 1977. This new bike was designed to enter the large market for scooters that developed following the 1973 oil crisis. As such it came with a fuel-efficient single-cylinder two-stroke engine. It was also designed to be simple to operate, as many owners would be inexperienced with or intimidated by larger, more complex motorcycles. Honda accomplished this by using a fully automatic transmission and a small oil pump to self-mix the Express's oil and fuel, thus eliminating the need for premixing. 1982 The Express receives a new frame design and the two speed transmission seen the previous year on the NA50. The Express II model is dropped, and a new model called the Urban Express (NU50) takes its place. This model features a frame similar to the NA50, and a drivetrain identical to the Express SR's, outside of its transmission gearing. Moped, scooter, honda, honda urban express $1,095.00

This is an all original, excellent running condition Honda CB900F Supersport. It has new tires and a new Battery. Stock exhaust, chain, sprockets, brakes, etc....no visible wear! No need to replace, as they are all like new! Everything has been checked, all fluids replaced. Everything is stock. There is a very small dent in the tank and tank has very small scratches - hardly visible. NO rust in tank. Garaged. As far as I know I am the 2nd Owner. I bought this bike a couple summers ago, it now has 6826 original miles on it. Clear title in my name. My bike rides like brand new even though it's 33 years old. This was a muscle bike when it came out and still accelerates like a slingshot under throttle. Own a piece of history that turns heads where ever you go. Sorry I don't have more pictures, the bike is in storage. Also included is a Corbin seat which lowers seat height by a couple of inches. I will work with you and a shipping Company to have it delivered to you, or better yet, fly into O'Hare airport (I'll pick you up, and drive it home. The CB900F's design was aimed at European markets, rather than the usual focus on the United States, and it was not imported into the US until 1981. In Europe, it was known as the Bol D’Or, after theBol d'Or endurance race. Honda's advertising at the time proclaimed the bike, "A thundering Super Sports bike with devastating performance and an unwavering stamina that will be setting the pace for many years to come." The CB900F uses a 901 cc (55.0 cu in) four-cylinder DOHC engine, essentially the same as in the Honda CB900C, and sharing many components with the Honda CB750 engine, differing mainly in a square 62 mm × 62 mm (2.4 in × 2.4 in) bore x stroke. The 901 cc (55.0 cu in) engine. The CB900F was a high-performance motorcycle that built on the racing success of the DOHC CB750F. The CB900F produces 95 bhp (71 kW) @ 9000 rpm and uses a five-speed transmission and chain final drive. The twin downtube steel frame was conventional in design, but very strong. The strengthened frame, along with the improved suspension design made the CB900F, "arguably the best Honda had build for the street," perhaps one of the first Hondas ready to challenge European motorcycles not just in engine output but in handling. It uses two front disc brakes and one rear, all outfitted with dual-piston calipers The air-assisted fork was upgraded with the Honda TRAC (torque reactive anti-dive control) anti-dive system in 1982. 16 K sworn by PO. Look closer more to come. stator failed, I replaced it. runs wonderful. 170 plus on all 4. 100 percent of operating power. A rare 83 Standard, all mechanical except the CDI, and regulator. Dealer installed Hondaline Candy Regal Brown fairing and lowers to match the rest, as well as a set of Hondaline bags. One of these has impact damage. This is unique in also the Swinging Trunk Backrest Option. Yep the trunk swings ahead for a backrest! Added Dipstick. Front Bumper, highway pegs, running boards front and rear. Detach and carry saddle bags. Dirty in Pics, new pics aren't taken yet. right pipe was patched and was welded a bit wrong angle by PO. have to look to see it. both mirrors repaired in knuckle, this works well. Will have 2 new installed with Buy It now. I would drive this bike anywhere, any distance. this engine is 100 times smoother then my 91k beater. starts with a push of the button once cold and idles. no smoke nor drips. there are some small cracks in the seat, as per gl1100, buy it now gets choice of any black seat I have at pickup. looks to have never been put down moving. front swinging pivots have cracks in the tubes, I will have them welded or you can. The whole rear packages are off with 7 bolts. Leaving a much cleaner look, if you wish, myself I like the carrying space. When I took it out the belts looked to be brand new. Given that they are Kevlar now, not cotton like GL1000, I left them. I will throw in a new set with Buy It Now. What else is unique, besides being all mechanical, it has linked brakes, Anti Dive, Sweet Cast mag wheels. If you have ever ridden a GL1100 you were always looking for 6th gear. the 83 alone has a much higher ratio primary drive as well as final drive ratio. it has "that gear" plus its the only 1100 Goldwing with a 150MPH speedometer. Probably one of the most collectible GL1100. I wont go down, I will ride this beauty, its far safer and nicer then mine. And as well as this runs am sure it does over 40 mpg. Happy Shopping!!..... 2008 Honda Shadow Aero 750 Intro: The 2008 Honda Shadow is a series of cruiser-style bikes that have been in production by Honda since 1983. The current range features two distinct models, the Honda Shadow Aero and the Honda Shadow Spirit 750 C2. Both are equipped with a liquid-cooled, 52 degree, V-twin, four-stroke engine that produces 745cc of power. The engine is paired with a five-speed transmission. For the launch of the 2008 models, new colors were added for both models, and the 2008 Honda Shadow Aero underwent a minor tweak, otherwise, they are unchanged from the 2007 models. Overall, both the 2008 Honda Shadow Aero and the Honda Shadow Spirit 750 C2 are almost the same bike. Not only do the two models look very similar, but they have been built with the same components and overall design. The 2008 Honda Shadow models have a rugged and retro look with a low seat height and classic ergonomics for carrying two passengers. The low center of gravity of the bikes means that most riders will feel confident while on the bike and will be able to place both feet firmly on the ground when stopped. The 749cc engine provides plenty of power for this large and heavy bike, but also isnt too powerful so that newer riders can master handling a bike this size. The length of the bike provides it with good balance, even when a passenger and full load of luggage is being carried. The low height and even balance of the bike mean that even slow speed maneuvers are easy to perform on the 2008 Honda Shadow models. The design of the 2008 Honda Shadow bikes is one of a traditional American cruiser. The Honda Shadow Aero has large tires mounted on spoked wheels with wide rims. The front tire is a 120/90-17 tire that gives the bike an even wider footprint when viewed from the front. Chrome highlights are used throughout both models of the 2008 Honda Shadow including the ignition switch cover, the rear brake pedal, the engine side covers, the brake and clutch lever brackets, and the handlebar. The headlight is a classically styled halogen headlight, and the rear taillights feature retro turn indicators. In keeping with the retro feel, the speedometer is set into the front of the fuel tank. New For 2008 The 2008 Honda Shadow Aero features a new two-into-two exhaust system that has bullet-style mufflers to give the bike a classic cruiser style.A new Shadow tank logo is featured on the 2008 Honda Shadow Aero. New colors for the 2008 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 C2 include metallic silver, candy dark red / flame, and ultra blue metallic / flame. New colors for the 2008 Honda Shadow Aero are candy dark red, metallic silver / black, black / white, and candy dark red / white. 2008 Honda Shadow Specs Model: Shadow Aero; Shadow Spirit 750 C2Engine Type: 745cc, liquid-cooled, 52 degree, V-twin Bore and Stroke: 79 x 75 mm; 79 x 76 mm Compression ratio: 9.6:1 Valve Train: SOHC; three valves per cylinder Induction: Single 34 mm constant-velocity carburetor Ignition: CD with electronic advance, two spark plugs per cylinder Transmission: Wide-ratio five-speed Final Drive: Shaft Fuel Capacity: 3.7 gallons Estimated Fuel Economy: N/A Brakes (Front): Single 296mm disc with twin-piston caliper Brakes (Rear): 180mm drum Suspension (Front): 41mm fork Suspension (Rear): Dual shocks with five-position spring preload adjustability Wheelbase: 64.5 inches; 65 inches Rake: 34 degrees Trail: 6.3 inches Seat Height: 25.9 inches; 25.7 inches Curb Weight: 519 lbs. 1986 Yamaha Venture ROYALE, I am selling my 1986 Yamaha Venture Royale XVZ1300. The bike has 34,XXX miles (well over 100k miles is expected for this bike), 1300cc V-4 engine (same platform as the Yamaha VMax). This is the redesign of the venture and besides different styling, bigger engine, more features, they also fixed the issues that 1983-1985 ventures had where 2nd gear goes out. This is a full dressed touring bike, it runs excellent and very smooth, onboard air compressor for the air suspension works, working cruise control, CB radio (don't have headsets), cassette (easily adapted for MP3/ 3.5mm headphone jack), Markland trailer hitch with new powered wiring harness, locking hard cases, fully adjustable handlebars, passenger floorboards, clean title . Within the last 500 miles the following work has been done to the bike: New tire All brake lines were de-linked and replaced with stainless steel lines Front brake calipers were replaced with R6 calipers and the rear caliper was rebuilt with new pads Clutch lever/line was flushed and bleed Front for was rebuilt and the springs were replaced with progressive springs Carbs had the diaphragms replaced and were synced All fluids were changed at the beginning of the season (oil replaced 50 miles ago) The battery is brand new and replaced with a Deka ETX18L AGM battery Lower radiator hoses, plastic input elbow, freeze plugs, and thermostat housing were replaced Fixed "E4" air suspension error Other upgrades include: Factory Yamaha service manual and Owner's manual Yamaha accessory pouches K&N air filter Fog/driving lights Billet handlebar extensions for mounting accessories like a cup holder (included), GPS, etc The bike is in overall great shape for its age, it needs absolutely nothing other than a rider. The down side to the bike is it has a few scrapes on the right side fairing and some repaired cracks (email picture) and a very small rip in the seat. These bikes, when they came out, were the hot rods of the touring bikes; It handles very well for a heavyweight. I am asking $3100 for the bike, I strongly prefer cash but I might consider a trade for a Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad or a Honda Shadow 1100 ACE/Aero; I can add cash for the right bike. If you have any question please call/text me or Email me. I have amny more photos I can send in an Email $3,100.00 3135497295
