1983 Honda Nighthawk CB 550 SC. In 2009 the entire bike was taken apart (except the engine), frame was powder coated, and put back together again replacing anything broken or malfunctioning with original 1983 Honda Nighthawk parts. The bike has around 16,000 miles on it. It starts right up, runs great, shifts great, and everything works. It's a great bike for people upgrading from a 250 or experienced riders who just want something unique (the 1983 CB550 is the only body style of its kind). It has a shaft drive, so there is no lag on the throttle and your chain will never slip. I bought a new battery in March, and the tires have less than 200 miles on them. With minimal effort it can be restored to the original look or provide the base of your own unique cafe racer. It comes with the official Honda shop manual used by professional mechanics, so if you want to make any alterations, you'll know how it all fits together. Also included is an extra side cover with the Nighthawk logo on it. 572.00 ccm (34.90 cubic inches) In-line four Double Overhead Cams 6-speed Air-adjustable front suspension 48 mpg

Bigger Riders Need Bigger Bikes. Honda’s all-new CRF®125FB (Big Wheel) is going to be a great choice for a wide range of riders. Basically, it’s the same great machine as our new CRF125F, but with bigger wheels and a two-inch taller seat height. You’ll find it’s perfect for teens and smaller adults who just want to get out on the trails and have fun. Loaded with features, we’re especially proud of its reliability (nothing can match a Honda for that), so you get to concentrate on having a good time rather than fussing with a temperamental machine. Rugged, simple and easy to maintain, it offers styling cues that match our CRF®450R and CRF®250R motocross bikes. Its electric starter makes it easy to get underway, while a four-speed transmission gives you all the control of a full-sized bike. Off-road riding should be fun. And for 2014, the new CRF125FB (Big Wheel) offers as much fun as bikes twice its size. Be a Responsible Rider Parents need to consider their youngster’s age, size, ability and maturity before allowing them to ride. See owner’s manual for additional safety and supervisory information. Designed exclusively for off-road, operator-only use. Always wear a helmet, eye protection and protective clothing whenever you ride. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol. * Suggested Retail Price (SRP) excludes destination charge. Visit powersports.honda.com to view applicable destination charge amount.

Just over 10K miles on the bike. Matte black finish. Low miles on new tires and oil change; all service work done at Pete's Cycle in Baltimore. Minor scrapes and dings (right side of the gas tank was dented in transport to Pete's). The bike has never laid down. Yoshimura dual pipes. K&N air filter. This bike has been great to me over the years with zero issues. I haven't had the time to appreciated it and ride with a new job that includes a company car. *I will also provide the Honda service manual. *I will also provide a U-lock that I always used to the lock the front wheel. *I will also provide an aluminum ramp for loading the bike into a truck/van/etc. if desired. **I can deliver the sold bike throughout the Baltimore area for a $75 charge. **I also have two size interlocking magnetic tank bags for the bike that I'll sell for an additional $125 if interested. Additional links on the 919 that tell an unbiased story of how rock solid and bad *** this bike is to ride: :// /2011/09/07/honda-919-best-used-bikes :// /sportbikes/back-black-honda-919-road-test

BOUGHT FROM A FRIEND THAT HAD THE BIKE IN INSIDE STORAGE FOR MANY YEARS. PLANNED TO CONVERT IT INTO A BOBBER STYLE MOTORCYCLE BUT NEVER GOT AROUND TO IT. I RODE THIS BIKE TO AND FROM THE TRAIN EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS. ONLY 1.0 MILES AWAY. JUST BOUGHT A CAR AND MAKING ROOM IN THE GARAGE FOR CAR # 2.I PAINTED IT WITH BLACK MAT PLASTI DIP WHICH PEELS OFF EASILY. ALSO, I CHANGED THE HANDLE BARS. IF YOU WANT ORIGINAL PARTS I STILL HAVE THEM. STARTS RIGHT UP & RUNS GREAT! AWESOME ENGINEERING. Honda V65 Magna Claimed power: 116hp @ 9,500rpm Top speed: 137mph (period test) Engine: 1,098cc liquid-cooled DOHC 90-degree V4 Weight: 618lb (wet) Price then/now: $3,898/$2,000-$4,000Landmark. Watershed. Call it what you will, Honda’s 1983 V65 Magna marked a major departure in motorcycle design. For the first time, a Japanese motorcycle maker’s fastest, most powerful motorcycle had pull-back handlebars and its footpegs well in front of the seat. The Power Cruiser had been born.Sure, Harley-Davidson had been making foot-forward cruisers just about forever, and Yamaha had introduced the “special” stepped-seat, beach-bar look in the late Seventies, but it was Big Red that put serious power in the picture. The Honda V65 Magna was built around a 65ci double overhead cam V4 that delivered more than 100 horsepower to the back wheel, propelling the muscular missile to sub-11-second standing quarters at nearly 125mph.Not every pilot could pull off that party-piece, though. A 45/55 front-to-rear weight bias and laid-back riding position meant keeping the front wheel down was a challenge. And if the road threw you a curve, the lazy 30-degree rake, 63-inch wheelbase and light front end meant vague steering and a tendency to run wide. With the rider’s weight mainly butt-supported, road imperfections could jar the spine, while dialing back the fully adjustable twin shocks invited jacking from the shaft final drive. And although the thrust of the big V4 was seductive, it wasn’t all plain sailing: In city riding, Cycle magazine’s March 1983 test found a combination of too much driveline lash and under-damped CV carbs made for a “low-speed, jerk and lurch routine.” Even so, Cycle said it was the engine that was by far “the V65’s best feature, and motorcyclists who buy the V65 on looks will quickly find themselves enchanted by the 1100’s performance.” The source of this excitement was a 1,098cc liquid-cooled, 90-degree V4 with four overhead camshafts. Each pair of camshafts was driven from the center of the four-main-bearing crank by its own chain, opening four valves per cylinder at a narrow (for the time) 38-degree included angle via screw-adjustable rockers. Primary drive was by straight-cut gears using a split gear on the crankshaft to reduce lash and gear noise and a semi-slipper, diaphragm-spring clutch that allowed half of the plates to release during over-aggressive downshifting. A 6-speed gearbox (five plus overdrive, said Honda) drove the back wheel via two bevel gears and a shaft. The powerhouse breathed through four 36mm Keihin CV carbs drawing from an airbox set in a recess cut into the gas tank. This compromised fuel space, requiring a second tank hidden under the seat and fed by an electric pump. Not surprisingly, perhaps, all this performance and complexity came at a price: Ridden enthusiastically, the Magna’s fuel consumption could drop into the low 30s, and with just 4.5 gallons of fuel in both tanks (and no fuel gauge or reserve tap — just a low-fuel warning light) an unprepared rider could get caught short — including Cycle World’s April 1983 tester, who found out the hard way and had to push the big brute home.

1983 Honda CR480R – race ready! This CR480R was built for one purpose, to race AHRMA nationals. Below is the parts list installed: This 1983 Honda CR480 is a frame up restoration with only jetting time on the bike. There is over 8K in parts alone so the buy it now is best I can do having not spent any track time on this bike. This is an AHRMA national level purpose built race bike. This bike cannot be built for the price I am selling it for (even if you only considered the cost of the parts). I have heard the horror stories of 82 motors in 83 frames and I have seen buys riding these bikes at the track with stock suspension (if you are not going to get the suspension done then you are purposely beating your body up for no reason). The suspension on this bike has to be addressed and when you do, it will put a smile on your face. I also have an 83 Honda CR250R for sale on ebay as well. There is a YOUTUBE video at the below link: http://youtu.be/0jL_O5cgCHI Engine Cylinder overboard (over 500cc) Decompressor for starts (start as easy as a 125 – see photo) 38mm Mikuni TMX flatside carb (AHRMA legal) 8 petal Mossbarger Reed cage DG pipe Custom one-off carbon fiber silencer (owner) Uni Air filter RK gold chain Correct serial number on the motor Complete motor rebuild/engine painting Stainless bolts Chassis/suspension 43mm forks rebuilt by Race Tech (hard anodized tubes, gold values, heavy springs for 180lbs rider) Race Tech G3 Series shock with remote reservoir (180lbs rider) Pro tamper fat bars VMX wide footpegs Gold Sun rims (19” rear) Arched brakes (front and rear by Race Tech) – Better stopping power Buchanan heavy duty spokes VMX plastic Powdercoated frame with original serial number on the frame I will do a video in a day or so showing you how easy it is to start as I know this is one thing that runs people away from big bores, but this one is truly seamless to start.
