1984 Honda VF 700 Magna (V45) - Only 26,850 miles. Project bike. Nice looking bike in good condition, but has been sitting since 2003. Ran when parked, but will need the usual stuff.....carbs cleaned, brake calipers rebuilt, battery, oil change, etc. Has clear ohio title. Comes with original tool kit, and Owners Manual. Nice paint & chrome. I hooked a battery to it, and all the lights, gauges, and switches seem to work just fine. Bike cranks over just fine too. Should be a fairly easy project to get back on the road.Check it out anytime at Williams Vintage Cycle - in Xenia, OH (511 Home Ave, Xenia, OH)937-376-0424

1984 Honda Magna V45, Selling my 1984 Honda Magna VF700C. This is a really nice bike for sell. I have over 3000$ invested in this motorcycle and all the receipts to prove it. KBB value is 1820$$ Asking 1800 or best offer. Runs really good and absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you're looking for a cruiser that gets excellent gas mileage then this is your bike. There are minor scratches in the paint but no dents. This is definitely a classic motorcycle. Only phone calls will be accepted. Text will be ignored. Clean Pink in hand. NO RUSH TO SELL IT! NO PAY PAL... AND I DON'T NEED HELP SELLING IT! I've had the carbs rebuilt and it gets 49.8 miles per gallon on the highway. 700cc with a 6 speed trans. New tires, new mirrors, and new grips. I've had three different oil leaks fixed. I also had the fork tube seals replaced. Recent tune-up and the oil is new. I just renewed the tag so it's good until Dec. 2015 $1,800.00

1984 Honda Magna 750 condition: excellent engine displacement (CC): 750 fuel: gas odometer: 18641 paint color: custom title status: clean transmission: manual This is a well maintained Honda Magna 750. I have owned the bike for 22 years and kept it in a garage the whole time. I have done all the recommended services and have kept this motorcycle in excellent shape. This bike runs but needs carburetor work and a battery. I think the fuel float is stuck from not riding it. The back tire has very little wear. This bike is very clean for a vintage bike. This bike was manufactured in Canada so the gauges are metric. This bike has 30,000 kilometers which equates to 18,641 miles. This motorcycle will go fast as I am motivated to sell. I bought myself a new bike and I need the room in my garage. Please call for more details 314-258-2800

** Repariable ** I have a well maintained 1984 Honda Magna V45 700 available. It has 39,600 miles and is having a few issues that I don't want to deal with. They could possibly be very easy fixes for a mechanic or someone who wants to put a little time/money into it.What it needs:1) A fuel pump, it works fine up to 65 miles or so on a new tank, but after that the pump struggles intermittently and the bike acts like it's out of gas.2) Sometime this season it will need a new rear tire; it's just getting worn down.3) When I tried to take it for a quick ride recently, the entire electrical system died when I hit the starter. It has a fully charged battery, so I'm not sure what's going on. A few years ago the high/low beam switch was shorted and was acting a little funny, so maybe it's something like that. There are two small dents in the gas tank. I've had it for 10 or 11 years and have always given it what it's needed. Recent repairs include: 1) complete carburetor overhaul (using OEM Honda parts) in the fall of 2013 (about $550), 2) New front brake pads in 2012 or 2013, and 3) New fuel filter 2 seasons ago.Other things worthy of mention: 1) the seats were recovered and have no damage (you gotta have a nice seat!), 2) I added a 12 volt outlet on a 1 amp fuse (for cell phones, GPS, etc.), 3) I added a volt meter.Additions I've made that cost a bit more: 1) New National Cycle Plexifairing (was about $150), 2) saddle bags (about $150), 3) Removable/lockable saddle bag mounts (about $150), 4) Backrest with luggage rack ($150 - $200). I would sell the saddle bags, brackets and backrest with luggage rack for $300 if someone wanted just those. I would sell the bike without them for $500.It's been a great bike for me, but I was inspired (and enticed by a good deal) on a new Triumph, and I don't want to put anymore money into it, so I'm selling this one.The first tire in the pics is the rear, and the second is the front. The front tire is in great condition.I also have the original windshield (and mounts) in case you want to revert to that.I've been taking it to Empire Cycle in Loretto in recent years (so they're pretty familiar with the bike), and the previous shop is Motor Sports Plus in South St. Paul. Thanks for looking!

This motorcycle might be the most interesting story on EBay. Even if you do not bid on it, you probably ought to read about it. A little History. I have been a professional street rod builder during my life and have had various cars on the covers of the best known car magazines. I also have had about 100 motorcycles, most of which I cleaned up or modified to my own taste, but for the most part building hot rods was my “Thing”. This motorcycle you are looking at was built on a “bet”. There were a few of us guys sitting around about 10 years ago lamenting about how the cost of building a “head turning” hot rod had gotten out of control, leaving the homebuilt projects as “second class citizens”. When a car or bike showed up at a show and was built on a small budget, everyone knew it and usually walked right past them to get to the “million dollar projects” so they could go “wow”!! One of my buddies lamented that the days of the homebuilt projects were all but dead because big money was what had ruined it. If you are a gearhead that does not have deep pockets, you know what I’m talking about. I am not at all upset with folks who have the means to pay people like me to build them their dream car. I feel blessed to have been in a position to do so. In a burst of optimism I told my buddies that I believed I could build a head turning bike for an upcoming show (the Del Mar Motorcycle Nationals) for under $500.00. They laughed at such a thought and called it impossible. That was all I needed to encourage me, so I set out to do what I believed I could do….and I did it! The bike you are looking at cost me $395.00 total to build and take to that show. If I was not a professional builder, I could have done the same thing based on the way I did it. I was out to prove that anyone with a little knowledge and some basic tools and some scrap parts could do something similar if they paid attention to the details (and the detailing!). There are a ton of fabricated parts on this bike. Everywhere you look, this bike is modified. I started with a good running 1984 Honda v-45 700cc that had been in a friends garage and had not run in a couple of years. I bought it for $200.00. The bike had about 19k miles on it. I took it back to the shop, put a fresh battery in it, some fresh gas and it started right up and sounded solid. The carbs were dirty and messed up and super complicated, so I threw them away and made a single carb custom manifold. I used a small SU variable venturi carb that I had lying around which works perfect on this engine. The bike starts immediately from cold and does not have to be choked to start and idle. The carb is all aluminum so I polished it up for good looks. I bought another “donor” bike that I liked the tires and wheels on for $100.00. The tail section of this bike was made from the back half of the gas tank on that donor bike. You can read the other details on the sign that I had made for the Del Mar Show, but the best part of this story is the sign. I parked my bike alongside other bikes that were clearly $50,000.-$250,000. rolling works of art…at first it looked like this little bike of mine was outclassed and questionable as to why it was being shown with the “Big Dogs”….until everyone read the sign in front of it. It happened time after time when someone would quietly walk up to the bike, quietly look it over and then read the sign. Then they got excited….most were very excited! They would call their buddies who may still be down at another bike drooling over it….yelling “come here. You are NOT going to believe this! The people they called over would read the sign and usually get a huge smile on their faces and look around and ask loudly….who owns this bike? I had to remain close by because the bike created such a stir. Fathers and sons and less than wealthy folks, were especially encouraged to go home and do the same thing I had done…it was just hard work, attention to detail and a few fabricated pieces that could be whipped up by them instead of ordering everything on the internet and having someone like me charge them $75.00 an hour to put it on. I polished everything on a small bench grinder/polisher. I painted everything with a detail gun with left over paint. I scrounged swap meets for other little parts and did it all “Old School” style….by myself. The truth of this matter is that if I had to charge shop rates for this bike I would have to charge about $40,000.00 for it because it took me somewhere between 400-500 hours to build it. But The bike has sat in my shop for the last ten years and I have told this story many times to prove a point….the individual builder can still draw a crowd which I think is MUCH better than drawing a trophy! I will never forget the crowds that gathered around this bike at that show….I’m sure the attention it gathered rubbed a few big money guys the wrong way….but they got the trophy’s….my bike got the attention. The bike has not been seen in public since that one show many years ago. If you are high bidder on this bike, you can rest assured you are getting a one and only piece of history. The bike has 0 miles on it and I just recently finished wiring it and plumbing it to run. It comes with a current California registration. I'll provide free shipping if the bid goes over 10K.

A true Barn find! Stored for over 25 years, this 1984 Honda Magna V45 saw the light of day after a long slumber about two years ago.I rescued this bike with 2400 original miles on it.Tank had no rust, so flushed and replaced all fluids, tuned it , new tires and battery, clean and adjust carbs, and she started right up. Bike not only looks good, but is FAST! A walkaround and cold start can be found here http://youtu.be/iS-gOBh0ftU This winter I replaced all the oxidized and pitted aluminum and spent the long winter buffing and polishing. The Cylinder head covers were also polished, as you can see. There was no wear on the cams, still looks new ( last picture). Replaced Air Cleaner covers with later model polished ( have the etched eagle logo - I filled with enamel paint for contrast)Blackout paint was stripped and replaced with Black reflective inserts. Black during the day, white reflective at night. You can see it in the video.Put new custom coil wires on it, had radiator cleaned and flushed. Replaced bulbs in Speedo and tach with Blue LEDS. Paint is in beautiful condition. The only thing I didnt address was the ding in the tack from junk falling on the bike sometime in storage. Hard to believe that this bike is 30 years old, from looks to performance. Starts up ( little cold blooded), and feels tight. Handles great, and throttle to spare. Bike is located in South Jersey. Buyer to pay all shipping costs. Only reason I am selling it as I took a job that requires alot of travel and dont get the time to ride.

1984 Honda Magna V42, 1984 Honda V42 Magna, VF700C with 11,220 original miles on the odometer. I purchased this bike last fall when my primary bike was being built. Now its my extra. I bought this bike with 10,600 miles on it, and it had the original (31 year old) fork seals and tires. Those both were replaced immediately, and the bike runs and handles excellent and I have put about 600 miles on them. For those not familiar with the original Honda Magna line and their history. Starting in 1982 Honda imported the V45 (750cc) along with its big brother the V65 (1100cc). In 1984 the crybabies at Harley Davidson went blubbering to the US Congress complaining that they couldn't compete with the superior bikes that were being produced by the Japanese. Congress stepped in to protect the pansies at Harley and imposed higher tariffs on imported bikes over 700cc's. Honda stopped importing the V45(750cc) and started making the V42(700cc) and thus the V42 Magna was born I bought this bike to fill the void when I was rebuilding my Yamaha VMax, it had 10,600 miles on it, I replaced the old tires and had the front forks resealed. There are two small imperfections on the tank, one on the right side front just n front of the Honda logo, it has a dimple where the tank has been pushed in but the paint surface is fine, and is about the size of a half dollar.. The other one is a small belt buckle mark just in front of the seat the mark is through the clear coat and finish paint layer, but not the primer. The photo of this mark didn't come out very well, but I will take another one later. Near as I can tell this bike has never been dropped or seen rain, the engine bolts and instrument cluster look brand new, and the seat is immaculate with zero tears, wear marks or even any blemishes and tank finish look like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The tabs have expired, but I will get new ones this week so they won't expire for another year. This is one cherry bike, and comes with a set of highway pegs that I never got around to taking off the bike. Kawasaki, Yamaha, Ducati, Suzuki $2,700.00
