1985 HARLEY DAVIDSON WIDE GLIDE FXWG This Wide Glide is a fairly rare and unique bike. It is an Evolution engine with a 4 speed transmission, belt drive and kick/electric start. These bikes were only built for two years in this configuration 85-86. This one is even more unique because of its one of a kind customization. Starting with the paint which is an orange pearl with pearl green/blue flames. The paint job is of very high quality. It was done some time ago and does have a few small chips and marks but nothing major. Everything on the bike is either chrome or polished all the way down to the engine cases. Since the bike was a rider and not a trailer queen some of the polished parts and chrome show some wear. Again nothing major just age has caught up a little. I suspect the engine may have some work done to it as well. It seems to have a little more compression than stock. I can kickstart any bike but this one is a little difficult. The location of the rear pegs and the possible high compression make it hard to get a good kick. The bike is also equipped with an S&S Super E carb and DYNA ignition. I have safety inspected and fully detailed it. The bike received two new tires, new plugs and new fluids. All the lights, horn and gauges work. It does leak a little mostly from the overflow tube. I suspect a dirty or bad check ball. However when started or ridden daily it does not leak as much as if it sits for a few days. Not a major problem just a pain in the a@$. It was worse before I change the oil so a couple more changes might help clean up the situation. The Wide Glide has been on a few reliability runs and the motor, clutch and transmission all sound and work as they should. I do believe the mileage to be correct. However because of the age and the inability to verify the mileage the title will read EXEMPT from mileage disclosure because of age.
