1985 Honda Sabre VF700S, 1985 Honda Sabre VF700S with 47,950 miles. Bike is in overall good condition runs and drives great. The Honda VF700S Sabre Years produced (U.S.): 1984-1985 Total production: N/A Claimed power: 76hp @ 10,500rpm Top speed: 121mphEngine type: 699cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke V-four Weight (dry): 224kg (494lb)MPG: 28-48 Price then: $3,398 (1985) Price now: $750-$2,000 Available for just two short years from 1984 to 1985, the Honda VF700S Sabre was a touring bike that followed the V45 Sabre. It represents an interesting chapter in motorcycle history as one of a group of Japanese motorcycles referred to as the Tariff Busters. In the early 1980s, Japanese motorcycles were a thorn in ailing Harley-Davidson's side, and in 1983 H-D successfully lobbied for an International Trade Commission tariff to quell the overseas invasion of 750cc and larger motorcycles. Known as Section 202, the tariff was aimed squarely at Japan and levied a heavy penalty on bikes of 700cc capacity and over. It was expected to slow the Japanese onslaught and give H-D a leg up in the market. When protestations against the tariff failed, Japanese manufacturers responded by introducing new bikes with engines that fell just under 700cc. Honda responded by sleeving down its moderately successful 750cc V45 Sabre to 698.9cc. It was, by any measure a taunting, in-your-face rebuff to the new tariff. A technological tour de force when introduced in 1982, Honda launched the V45 Sabre with great fanfare. With its compact, 750cc liquid-cooled V4 engine bubbling over with features such as double overhead cams, four valves per cylinder and shaft drive, the V45 Sabre was supposed to be the spiritual heir to Honda's CB750 of 1969: it was not. While there was no questioning the V45's technical prowess, it failed to illicit the same excitement as the original CB750, and in fact was greeted only warmly by the buying public. With styling carried over from the V45 Sabre, the VF700S Sabre presented a sport bike image, something for hustling through corners and burning up the road. The menacing, blacked out finish suggested speed and grace, and the stretched out front fork gave the bike a long, hungry look.

This bike is in great shape. 12000 miles, starts, runs, stops, everything is working properly. It does have a small dent in the left side of the gas tank, but outside of that there are no major issues. I ride it to and from work at least two or three times a week. It will be sold with extra parts, a set of forks, two triple tree clamps upper and lower, a new set of bearings, and a custom shock from Daugherty motorsports will be sold at full asking price. If that is not wanted, I will sell that separately. Also I have a clymer manual, which will stay with the machine. Clear title from TN.

1985 Nighthawk S CB700SC black and blue in excellent condition. The Nighthawk S is hard to find especially in this good of condition and this bike is one of the few that still maintains its original black chrome exhaust. The paint is in excellent condition with no scratches, dents, cracks, or fading. The bike has approximately 25,500 miles on it and has been well maintained. New Dunlop tires front and back are on the bike with less than 500 miles on them. Brakes have been changed with about 1,000 miles on them. Seat upholstery is perfect. Everything functions well on the bike and there are no leaks. The instrument panel is in great condition and the lens is clear. Ttle is clear and in hand. I would completely trust the bike enough to get on it as is and ride it across the country. The Nighthawk S in my opinion is one of the all time best looking bikes.

Nice 1984 Honda CB700SC. I brought this bike back from the graveyard starting in 2009. After getting it running discovered that 2nd gear was weak. Bought a 1985 donor bike and swapped engines/transmission. Runs well. No issues. Turn key. Everything works as it should. The 1985 engine had 7,000 more miles than the 1984 so it's 31,100 on the engine. All stock with the exception of: K&N Air Filter, F2 Brake Rotors, Stainless Steel Brake Lines, Bar End Mirrors, Rear Turn Signals, 150 Rear Tire The following has been done to the bike within the last 5 years: New petcock New lock set (gas cap, ignition switch, and seat lock) Forks rebuilt Brake master cylinder rebuilt Clutch master cylinder rebuilt Clutch slave rebuilt Brake calipers rebuilt Carbs rebuilt Starter rebuilt New tapered neck bearings Gas tank coated with Por-15 New Pirelli Sport Demons installed front and rear last fall, 600 miles ago. Bike comes with the complete, original, 1984 engine which has 19,000 miles on it. Weak 2nd gear. Owners manual. Service manual. Original tool kit. Document box. Bike also comes with tons of spare parts. Extra exhaust, brake rotors, carbs, and boxes of other stuff. I'm sure I've forgotten something. Any questions just ask. I have more pics I can send if you wish. No test rides without cash in hand.

For sale is my 1985 Honda Sabre V65, also known as the VF1100S. The bike features a 1098cc V4 engine, 6 speed transmission, and shaft drive. Inspected until 09/17. Mileage is estimated at around 20,000. New Pirelli Sport Demon tires installed in 2015 with roughly 1000 miles on them since them. Also replaced since I got the bike in 2015 is the fork seals, brakes, battery, and fork brace (replaced with billet aluminum brace as the Sabre is known to snap the stock one). I have the Haynes manual, along with  Maier GP Sport Fairing I haven’t installed yet, a complete extra engine (untested), as well as some myriad small parts. Bike runs great, shifts well, stops, and goes as it should. Pretty clean for its age, a few dents and scrapes and a bit of rust, but nothing severe. I’m only really looking to sell to buy a smaller, lighter bike. Would also be willing to trade for a smaller bike, around 600-700cc and 400lb dry weight, such as a Honda CBR600, Suzuki SV650, Kawasaki Ninja 650R. Would be willing to potentially put $$ towards if the trade is worth it. Text or email is easier for questions or to schedule to look at her, but calls work too. Weather looks to be getting better, happy riding!

2015 Honda CTX 700N, 2015 Honda® CTX® 700N A Great Bike, Pure And Simple. Motorcycles, especially cruisers, have always been about individuality. But a lot of today s cruisers end up looking like they all came from the same mold. Not the CTX® series from Honda® we took the best parts of the cruiser idiom (laid-back seating, forward-set pegs, torque-rich twin-cylinder engine that you don t have to rev for power) and put them together into a package unlike anything else you ll see on the road. The low 28.3-inch seat height makes this a great choice for both urban riders who have to deal with stoplights and parking lots as well as anyone who likes a machine with a lower center of gravity. And there s plenty of class-leading technology in this bike too. For example, you can get a version with Honda® s automatic (DCT) transmission and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), as well as a standard six-speed model. Features May Include: Incredible Technology, Incredible Value. The CTX® 700N offers an automatic transmission and ABS version. With the DCT automatic transmission, you can shift with the push of a handlebar-mounted button, or select the automatic mode and the bike will shift itself. Plus, you get Anti-Lock Brakes for improved stopping in less than ideal conditions. Comfortable Cruising. Honda® s CTX® series is all about making motorcycling fun and accessible. The CTX® 700N s relaxed riding position and low seat help achieve this goal. Your Power Partner. The CTX® 700N s 670cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine produces tons of torque and enough power for easy two-up cruising. Honda® twins are famous for their wide powerbands and efficiency, and this engine is one of our best. Convenient Storage. We want the CTX® 700N to be a bike you ll want to ride every day, not just on weekends. That s why we went out of our way to design in user-friendly features like the integrated storage perfect for items you need to access fast. Make It Your Own. A wide array of accessories designed specifically for the CTX® 700N is available to help you get what you want out of your ride. Best of all, they feature the same quality and durability you ve come to expect from Honda®.
