This bike is in near perfect condition and you can see in the pics that it has been well taken care of never seen the rain and garage kept and believe me it runs as good as it looks it will absolutely scare you to death I had big plans for it and started buying polished aluminum parts for it until I decided it was just to powerful and violent. This particular bike is equipped with a outlaw V boost which this means you have a switch that you can set for the fear to kick in at 3000rpm or 6000rpm I have never rode anything like it!! I really don't have anything else to say but whoever buys it not only is getting a great bike they are getting a collectors item because these are a very sought after bike because 1985 was the fastest year made even insurance companies wouldn't carry them.

True Cult Classic...the first year the vmax was made with only 26k miBlack/silverRides great, both tires have good tread.Slips out of second gear so I just go from 1st to 3rd with no problems since there's so much torque.Minor scratches cosmetic from tipping over, other than that super strong running bike. Sad to see her go.

1985 Yamaha Vmax 1200, Super clean, super fast cruiser, that has low miles and high chrome! It's a real clic. The 1st year Yamaha made the VMAX. Besides all the chrome, polished aluminum, and black paint - here is a list of other things UFO Performance did to the motorcycle: 1. Replaced 1985 carbs with a 2007 set and installed Stage 7 DynoJet kit and (4) K&N filters (see pic) 2. Replaced stock exhaust with UFO DragStar 4/1 with slash cut "muffler". The sound of this VMAX is very unique and POWERFUL. 3. Avon tires - (front - 110/80ZR18) (rear - 150/90B15) 4. Galfer braided hydraulic lines 5. (3) piece UFO StarFighter seat - this seat is very comfortable compared to the stock pain in the seat. It's also lowers you down 3 inches. Here is what I did to the VMAX in addition to normal maintenance: 1. Upgraded 2 brush starter to 4 brush starter 2. Installed Kuryakyn mirrors 3. Installed engine guards (essentially my highway pegs) - had the engine guards powder-coated black to blend into the frame 4.Installed side mount license plate holder and eliminated rear mount bracket Other maintenance of interest: 1. Upgraded battery to an Odyssey battery at 12,400 miles. (you'll need to purchase your own Odyssey charger). 2. Fork seals replaced at 11,206 miles 3. Voltage regulator and Stator replaced at 12,481 miles $5,995.00
